@Bluebelltulip I’m sorry to hear you had a stillbirth, and so recently. I’m in a very similar boat. I gave birth in February. PAL has been horrendous, I am anxious over everything. Are you on the Facebook group? If you would like to talk about your second daughter then I am a very willing set of ears.

MummyBearBoo · 29/06/2019 04:20

Thanks everyone for your kind words I have a supportive family and DH and a beautiful DD who got me thru it last time -I still feel quite numb and as you can probably guess I'm finding it hard to sleep! Thanks @primarywoodle - I was having a look at joining the ARC forum

If only PGD wasn't so ridiculously expensive this way they would check the embryo before re-implanting so if we got pregnant after that we would know the baby would be ok - I'm reluctant to go abroad for such a specialised treatment I don't even know if they'd be able to test for my fairly rare condition like they can in the UK but NHS England set the price at £15k per cycle and it has a 1 in 3 success rate of each cycle! It also goes up every year. Unless you have £50k lying around it's just too expensive!! I'm not sure I have the strength to try again naturally and possibly have to go thru this again!
My heart is just broken I've now lost 2 little boys and my daughter has lost 2 little brothers and the chance to be a big sister or have a sibling at all although she doesn't know it! I've not really been able to cry properly coz I don't want her to see me upset!! I'm gonna go now -

Good luck everyone and I really hope you all have smooth pregnancies! Thanks for listening xx

So sorry @MummyBearBoo and @MonicaGellerHyphenBing thinking of you both XXX
I'm 10 weeks today, still feeling a bit rubbish but hoping that means things are ok
@BowiesJumper you got your scan date? Yay!

Lollypop10 · 29/06/2019 06:38

I’m so sorry @MonicaGellerHyphenBing and @MummyBearBoo for your losses. Sending lots of love x

plipliop · 29/06/2019 07:14

Good morning everyone!

I'm feeling a bit better today after sleeping all evening and through the night. I'm really struggling at work by the end of the week and it's making me throw up which is annoying as generally I'm feeling better.

I'm also finding that I don't fancy eating anything and am having to force myself to eat my to stop myself feeling sick.

I have a large round bump but it's really low down and I still haven't told the wider world so I'm wearing baggy clothes and feeling chubby. I've put on 5 lbs which I think is OK.

I'm eagerly awaiting my results for the screening but I know that no news is good news.

I can't wait until everyone knows.

In other news, DS1 needs a cast fitted on his arm which he may still have when we go to Malta. I'm so sad for him as he is a real water baby. I guess we can tape a bag around it? He is quite sensory sensitive and I don't think he will enjoy the experience.

Not long now until the end of term. Phew 😅

DinoGreen · 29/06/2019 08:06

Morning all. Today’s going to be a beautiful day and we’re off to a wedding later which should be lovely! Then going on holiday on Monday. I was so happy to finish work yesterday.

@plipliop that’s such a shame about your DS’s arm, can you ask about removable casts and I know someone who had one they could take off to shower? Then he could take it off to swim. My DS who is 3 is so excited about swimming every day on holiday!

FirstTim3Mummy · 29/06/2019 08:14

Hi everyone just checking in

I'm 35 years old,. First pregnancy (hence username!) Due 9th January,

Had 3 scans so far and the NIPT which came back all low risk

.... And it's a baby boy!!!

Everything seeming normal and healthy
Low lying placenta which may cause bleeding but they said it should move up

Absolutely terrified of giving birth and coping with baby, I don't feel like a grown up

SleepingStandingUp · 29/06/2019 08:48

@FirstTim3Mummy I have a 4 yo, twins Inn the way and slightly older than you and I don't either lolm. It's fine, you'll find your way once baby is here

plipliop · 29/06/2019 08:49

@FirstTim3Mummy try not to think too far ahead!

Mumof4andahalf · 29/06/2019 10:25

I'm 11 weeks today and since 9 weeks my symptoms have completely gone, sickness, sore boobs, bloating, even the tiredness... hello insomnia! anyone else had this as I'm worrying myself stupid now that it's a mmc.

mynameisMrG · 29/06/2019 11:32

I had exactly the same @Mumof4andahalf I was so convinced there would be no heartbeat at my scan but it was there. It would be quite nice to have five minutes a day of symptoms just for reassurance wouldn’t it

Ann334 · 29/06/2019 11:33

Just checking in to new thread!
Im 28 with first baby, 9+4 so EDD 28th Jan.
We’ve just had an offer accepted on a flat and I happen to be wearing an old dress of my mums today so I literally feel like I’m playing dress up as an adult🙈
My sickness symptoms have also massively eased which I’m so grateful of but also anxious. (Unless it’s 3am and my partner is breathing near me, then I’m heaving)
Scans not until 16th.
Won’t be telling my family until after scan as last time we told I unfortunately MC’d.
Anyone have any nice announcement stories?!

Mumof4andahalf · 29/06/2019 11:35

@mynameisMrG yes! It really is a constant worry, I had some back/side pain last week and convinced myself that was the start, I probably slept funny. I had a scan at 6 weeks for reassurance clearly it hasn't worked 🤣

Cindy61 · 29/06/2019 11:40

@FirstTim3Mummy I'm a first timer too. Totally get you. I try to focus on the next milestone, 12w scan next week, then 16w, 20w... xx

Mumof4andahalf · 29/06/2019 12:05

@FirstTim3Mummy try not to worry, you learn as you go, a lot is trusting your instincts x

Babynameseek · 29/06/2019 12:08

Anyone started their baby name lists?? We're steuggling with boys, given DH like Zebulon and Septamus!!

MoominMantra · 29/06/2019 13:21

Definitely going to struggle with boy names. Girls are easier!

Mumof4andahalf · 29/06/2019 13:37

I work in a school....so many names are ruled out!

Kinsters · 29/06/2019 13:39

My tiredness and nausea stopped around 11 weeks as well. I'm 13 weeks now and very rarely feel nauseous although I did throw up last night after trying to swallow my aspirin pill and it getting stuck in my throat - third time that's happened. I've been taking folic acid cause they're only tiny but no way is the multivitamin going down!

My hips are sooo sore today. We went to see the house we're moving to and to sort out some of the stuff that's in there (it belonged to DH's grandparents) and I think I overdid it with walking and moving stuff even though I was trying to be really careful. I've been left at the hotel while the others go out for durian because walking is too painful (idk if anyone's heard of durian but it's a fruit we get in Malaysia which is a bit of a delicacy).

We told DH's grandma about the baby today and she was thrilled though did make me promise not to drive after seven months and DH was also told by an auntie that I must be eating a chicken a week in the form of chicken soup to ensure a good sized baby!

I think we're ok for names, we both like quite traditional ones. We will also be thinking of a Chinese name (DH is Chinese) which will be harder as neither of us can read Chinese so we can't go on baby name finders or anything. Septamus is an interesting name Babynameseek!! Maybe tell DH you'll save it for the seventh child lol.

Cindy61 · 29/06/2019 13:51

@Kinsters I'm Chinese and can help with the name. I'm a translator, quite good with words. SmileI moved back China from Manchester to be closer to my parents six years ago and met DH here.

I haven't started to think about English or Chinese names tho. I don't want to find out the gender so maybe prepare couple of each. X

Kinsters · 29/06/2019 14:08

Ooo amazing Cindy! We don't even know where to start (except with colleagues and friends names lol). I'd love a name that's associated with water in some way because we both love the ocean and the baby was actually conceived on a scuba diving holiday! Where in China are you living? My husband's family are from Guangdong originally but have lived in Malaysia for 4 generations.

MoominMantra · 29/06/2019 14:10

Is anyone else concerned about the prices of everything going up post Brexit? And will you try to buy everything before?

megganonion · 29/06/2019 14:15

Ive made a start on my list...
Boys so far: Emre, remus and zeek (Ezekiel)
My first three boys are named Jake, Noah and Ezra
Girls: Isobel, aubrey and Avery
Getting dh to agree will be another thing 😂
We told the boys today noah(6) didnt believe us his reaction was priceless. He said it has to be a sister this time 😂😂 as if u can choose!!
Ive attatched my scan photos from yesterday if anyone wants to have a guess at gender i myself am convinced its another boy!

Cindy61 · 29/06/2019 14:23

@Kinsters we live in the northeast. It's a coastal city so I also want a name with water element in it! Such as sea 海, ocean 洋 or waterside 滨 ( the three dots at the left symbolise water). I call my little bean 泡泡(Bubble) for now.

Feel very excited talking about baby names! I'd better just be patient and wait for my 12w scan next week. GrinX

Mumof4andahalf · 29/06/2019 14:28

@megganonion i love emre 💙 unusual but not hard to pronounce.
