Couldn't see that anyone had started another thread after we filled up the last one, so hopefully I haven't made a double...

@Mintypea5 Aww, hope you feel better soon! Thanks

I was thinking mine might be stress related or also some stomach bug, but it does feel a lot like morning sickness in 1st trimester, didn't know it can come back this late :( Hopefully it passes soon

Unsureursula · 16/09/2019 10:00

Morning all! I’ve been suffering with nausea the past week! It’s rotten isn’t it!
I’m 32+5 and really struggling to sleep now, and move, and eat actually. I’m a complete moaning Myrtle aren’t I!! I know it will all be worth it but I’m definitely getting fed up now!

BobbySD345 · 16/09/2019 10:36

Sorry to hear some of you have nausea back. With everything else we have to deal with in these late stages, nausea is very unwelcome!

Are anyone elses hips and shoulders on fire from side sleeping? I'm up every hour to go to the loo but if it's not that then I'm feeling so achey and sore. Sat at my desk now with my right hip in pain from overnight. Cant wait to front sleep again !!

@PyjamasForever my friend said to me yesterday I need to get my hospital bag sorted just incase. I am also following a girl on Instagram who is a week ahead of me and she was rushed in with what she thought was Braxton hicks but ended up having her baby because the placenta detached. You honestly dont know what may happen do you! So worrying and unpredictable.

Rotorua · 16/09/2019 10:43

@Unsureursula ohhh no, I know what you mean. I so hope it passes soon for the both of us.

I really want for the nesting instinct to kick in, my house is a mess at the moment, but I just can't imagine cleaning anything while nauseous :(

Unsureursula · 16/09/2019 11:41

@BobbySD345 sorry to hear that! Yes hip pain too...ditto sleeping on front, and back! I’m going to starfish in the bed at the first opportunity lol!!
Good point re hospital bag- I don’t have mine packed but have shoving bits into a suitcase. Because the weather was so good at the weekend I washed all the baby bits I’ve bought (4 babygros and vests, some hats and mittens, 2 cellular blankets and some towels). We definitely need more but I thought let’s just get that done and I’ve packed the small bits for hospital into Ikea freezer bags. Was trying to explain to OH that we need to get more organised and his response was ‘we live close to the biggest shopping centre in Europe, sure we can get anything in John Lewis last monite’ cue my 🙄🙄🙄!

Unsureursula · 16/09/2019 11:43

@Rotorua yes hope you start to feel better soon!
My nesting kicked in on Friday- I scrubbed the rubber in the washing machine and then the detergent drawer and behind the drawer and then washed the baby stuff we have. Felt such a sense of achievement but not sure when it will be done again lol! Need to do a good clear out of clothes and shoes too but like you just feel rotten so keep putting it off! Hopefully we’ll get a burst of energy soon!!

Rotorua · 16/09/2019 13:51

@Unsureursula thank you! :)
Wow, you have done so much! I hope by reading how much cleaning others have done, it will make me feel bad and I will just get on with it :D

Unsureursula · 16/09/2019 15:42

@Rotorua I’m not sure I have! We still don’t have a cot or any bedding for said cot! I’m just trying to get a little more organised as baby is measuring behind and I’ve another growth scan in 3 weeks when I’ll be 36 weeks and theres a chance I could be induced then so I’m a bit ahh!
I completely understand how you feel though- honestly we’re being overtaken by stuff here and it’s only going to get worse so we NEED to clear out but OH is all ‘ah Plenty of time for that’ 🙄🙄🙄! I guess we should just listen to our bodies though and relax a bit shouldn’t we!

BobbySD345 · 16/09/2019 17:12

@Unsureursula I cannot wait to starfish !!!

Mintypea5 · 16/09/2019 17:52

I feel like I've basically done nothing this time. We still have all DS2 stuff pretty much (14 months) so we didn't really need to do or get much buy for some reason I feel really under prepared?!

We've got the double buggy and new clothes (girl this time) and new bottles ... everything else we have I think?!! Still feels like I'm missing something

I cannot wait to sleep on my front again and not be in pain.

PyjamasForever · 16/09/2019 19:00

My sickness came back at about 30 weeks. I think I've only had about 8 weeks where I haven't felt sick.

@Rotorua I never felt the urge to nest last time, so sadly house was a mess when baby was born and I spent ages apologising to all our guests who visited when DS was tiny. This time we have a cleaner so hopefully no need for any cleaning for me!

Just so exhausted after work today. I cried when DH called me and asked if I could pop into the supermarket (for tahini?!?) on my way home. Suddenly 3.5 weeks until mat leave seems too long.

OP posts:
Rotorua · 16/09/2019 21:55

@Unsureursula My DH was the same for a while - thinking we will get everything ready and start buying things for the baby at the end of October with my due date being 9th November. Now I keep reminding him every week how many weeks we have left till baby comes, and he has thankfully realised we need to get the move on.
I hope your scan goes well xx

@PyjamasForever sorry to hear about your sickness Thanks
Ohh no, I so hope nesting still happens for me. We are also getting cleaners, but the main problem is that we moved in 2 months ago and still have a lot of things in boxes, so need to sort that out before cleaning can happen.

This day was a disaster. Had a mean comment from a distant collegue today regarding my pregnancy. Had reduced movements when I returned from work so had to go to hospital. When walking on the pavement on the way to hospital I accidentally kicked a squirrel :( The poor guy came out of nowhere and I didn't see it because of my bump :( It did run away in bushes, realy hope it's not hurt.
Thankfully after spending a couple of hours in the hospital, baby started kicking, looks like she was just having a lazy day.
So glad for this day to be over!

PyjamasForever · 18/09/2019 19:46

So I had my scan today. Baby is measuring okay overall but has a big abdomen and I have lots of fluid so despite having a normal glucose tolerance test I have to start measuring my blood sugars for a week from Friday.

OP posts:
Mintypea5 · 19/09/2019 07:52

@PyjamasForever my DS2 abdominal measurements were always massive I was a bit worried what he'd look like when he came out .... looked completely in proportion to the rest (they were a week or two ahead of the rest of him) so now I'm always a little dubious about them

We have our 2nd growth scan tomorrow. Excited to see how big she is now

Cegbee · 22/09/2019 15:54

Haven't posted for a long time here!
Just wanted to say for those suffering from nausea, I would really recommend going to your GP and getting some medication for reflux. It's help me so much, nausea has settled and I'm sleeping better as I was waking up with awful heart burn.

Unsureursula · 22/09/2019 17:25

Hello all! Another occurrence of RFM so we came to the hospital to get checked out. They’ve decided to keep me in overnight so they can do two more monitoring sessions and a scan tomorrow. Feel like a baby but I’ve been crying about being admitted. I know it’s the right thing and I’m relieved they’re taking it seriously, I just don’t want to be in the hospital 🙁

Unsureursula · 22/09/2019 17:26

@Mintypea5 how was your scan?

PyjamasForever · 22/09/2019 17:34

Poor you @Unsureursula! It's so tricky because being in hospital never feels great, and it must be worrying but it's a good thing that they're taking you seriously.

I've been measuring my blood sugars over the weekend and half of them have been high. I think I'm going to contact the diabetes midwife on Monday rather than waiting until Thursday when I'm supposed to send in a copy of my diary.

OP posts:
Unsureursula · 22/09/2019 17:53

@PyjamasForever thank you so much, you’re right I’m in the best place and actually now that I’m on a bed it’s really not too bad. I just neee to brave it!
Sorry to hear that, I think that’s a good idea to contact the MW tomorrow as it’s better to be on the safe side!
Glad we’re all on the home straight! Was saying to OH earlier that I know the worry as parents won’t go but I think (and hope!) it will be a bit easier when we can see them and check they’re ok!

Mintypea5 · 22/09/2019 20:11

@Unsureursula scan was good! Midwife was a bit worried I had some signs of preeclampsia but my BP was normal so let off and told to come back for a check up this week ...

It's been a long long weekend! DS2 was sick Friday and spent a lot of Saturday upset / out of sorts. Today DS1 puked all
Over my mother in las living room out of nowhere. Spent all afternoon looking after him. Bonus means I've actually just read him a lot of Harry Potter but my sciatica is killing from sitting in his room all afternoon & evening. Had to take tomorrow off to look after him ... which has made me a bit stressed I've already missed loads of work
With all my extra appointments.

Even tho I know I've felt baby today I'm making myself anxious about movements. I've been so concentrated in DS1 now I'm second guessing myself. She's defo been moving in fact I can feel her as I type but I think the whole situation has just left me anxious and stressed so I'm fixating I'm that

Kaff83 · 23/09/2019 02:29

@mintypea5 - I totally get that. I think it's so hard to remember to notice the movements/count the kicks when you're busy, especially when you're worried about one of your other children. Do you have any things that get the baby moving? Eating/ drinking sweet cold things usually do it for this little one. Hope your children get better soon.

I'm currently up watching tv as my back is killing - at the moment I usually have to get for an hour in the night because it's the only thing that eases the pain. Got an ante natal physio appt tomorrow so hoping that helps. I'm so tired! The big ones seem to time their night time visits badly, usually just after I've gone back to sleep. The three year old has taken a big liking to my maternity pillow and if I get up for a wee, often find her snuggled in it when I get back!! No wonder my back is hurting!!

LittleAndOften · 24/09/2019 12:55

Hi everyone. God the 3rd trimester is exhausting isn't it. So glad we can moan to each other on here! Grin

I've just had 33wk scan and all was normal. Baby is happy, healthy and all his stats are exactly where they should be. I'm so relieved! Makes the pgp seem worth it, in a weird way Wink

Farmmum7 · 25/09/2019 20:47

The hospital called me today and left a message to say that my growth scan has been moved from the 3rd to the 20 something of October no explanation or if I'm still seeing the consultant on the third and didn't answer when I tried to call back so I'm a little frustrated. My gp isnt great and I've had a few issues chest pains and bump/rib pains and i was hoping to see someone that's there specifically for these things not just my gp who doesn't even measure me or anything if anything I leave him feeling stressed that im still broken and he doesn't seem to care!

I'm just feeling a bit deflated and I can't see it getting any better until this one finally arrives!!

PyjamasForever · 25/09/2019 20:59

Good news that your scan was okay @LittleandOften.

So frustrating when appointments are changed @Farmmum7. I had an appointment today and they didn't have my notes so couldn't answer my questions. I left so deflated. I'm supposed to have a growth scan in 3 weeks (along with another appointment) and I'm getting worried now that it hasn't been booked as I haven't heard about it. Seeing my midwife in a week so hopefully if it's not booked there will be enough time to do it then.

Have to email all my blood sugars to the diabetes midwife tomorrow, I think they'll tell me that I have definitely got gestational diabetes. Confused

OP posts:
Mintypea5 · 25/09/2019 21:41

@PyjamasForever if your trust us anything like mine they send ten growth scan letters a week or so before! I keen worrying mine aren't in the system but the midwife said she can see they've been requested they're just a. Bit slow in sending the appointments! They should be able to check for you

Back in tomorrow for a check up after last week after scan midwife check. Hopefully my BP and urine are better This time. Had my swabs back yesterday ... still +ve for strepB and have thrush again ffs

Consultant next week. Considering being for induction to stop this awful pain
