Couldn't see that anyone had started another thread after we filled up the last one, so hopefully I haven't made a double...

I can absolutely relate to that turtle!

I get quite bad leg cramps at night, it’s so painful and I have to train myself not to stretch out as that what normally triggers it. I try and get my DH to rub my calves before bed.

I’ve started to count down the days until maternity leave. I’m finishing at 37weeks and it feels ages away still. I can’t wait to stop working and enjoy some sown time before the baby arrives. I have started nesting already though and feel like I’m in cleaning overdrive which is very unlike me!

Mintypea5 · 10/08/2019 07:52

Heartburn and leg cramps.

We're back home from holiday ... DS2 (13 months) slept soooooooo much better last night! He's got some teeth coming in (Caine or 1st molar) so it's obviously painful but now wake ups just a little cry in sleep which was easily soothes. I feel human again .... managed to find a comfortable spot for the first time in forever to sleep using pillows to support me so I got at least 2-3 hrs of no agonising sleep with PGP! Sadly my bladder ruined it by needing to pee but I feel so positive and upbeat today.

Baby seems to have moved so I've got a weird bug bump spot. Looks like bum with head down ... movements few different too more internals rather than kicks and punches to my front.

Unsureursula · 10/08/2019 19:49

Hello everyone!!
Yes to the PGP and leg cramps- I feel I’m defo slowing down which is really starting to annoy me! Anyone else feeling frustrated? 27 weeks now but hoping to work right up to 39 weeks as trying to maximise my mat leave! How’s everyone doing?

JoJoSaysHello · 10/08/2019 20:48

I'm considering going for a pregnancy massage to see if it helps my lower back pain - anyone had one? Did it help? The midwife I saw didn't really take me seriously when I mentioned struggling with my back - said "it's just one of those pregnancy things"

Mintypea5 · 10/08/2019 21:09

@JoJoSaysHello I loved pregnancy massages in my last one. I'm a bit heavier this time so a bit more self conscious but I regularly get DH to get me neck and shoulder ones and hips too

threemonthstogo · 10/08/2019 23:41

@JoJoSaysHello I had a great one the other week, I wish I'd started them ages ago! I'm going to try and go monthly now until the baby comes.

Mintypea5 · 11/08/2019 14:06

I've already had one nap today but feel like I need another ... almost 3rd trimester and feeling it!

PyjamasForever · 11/08/2019 15:21

A pregnancy massage sounds heavenly, but I'm already spending extra money on now having a cleaner Blush maybe I can teach the toddler how to rub my back? I've been off work for the last 4 days and toddler hasn't been at nursery so I'm exhausted, I've just turned on Disney and am going to attempt to snooze while films are on. Work tomorrow will be a rest!!

@PyjamasForever I find kids can be trained or bribed to give excellent back tickles/scratches and they do it with so much more enthusiasm than DPs Wink

Has anyone's boobs started to leak yet? Mine started leaking last night and I've never had that before in any of my pregnancies. Just wondering if it's time to take out my nipple piercings now.

Mintypea5 · 12/08/2019 13:46

@BananasAreTheSourceOfEvil mine have been since about 15 weeks? Wake up in lovely wet patches 😬 didn't get it this early other times.

PyjamasForever · 12/08/2019 14:33

@BananasAreTheSourceOfEvil I've had a bit of leaking for a couple of weeks, but only stopped breastfeeding 3 months before becoming pregnant again.

Not long now ladies! Kudos to those wanting to work right up to the end. I can completely see why that is sensible and my head says yes do that but I just want to leave now. With this being my 1st, the thought of 9-12 months off work is bliss, albeit I know it will be difficult with a newborn...!! I was thinking of leaving at 35 weeks so I can nest and relax...hehe !!

Mintypea5 · 13/08/2019 10:30

@BobbySD345 I wish I was going at 35 weeks! Guilt is keeping me there ... and wanting to be off until Jan 2021 ... so need my holiday the other side. Realistically I have more than enough to cover it with next years holiday taken into account and I'm planning a career break so it's mainly the guilt keeping me there but I guess it depend what happens with my maternity cover too Smile

HeartvsHead · 13/08/2019 11:12

@BobbySD345 enjoy the time. You will never again have the time to yourself!

I'm finishing at 35 weeks largely because our childminder is retiring so makes life a bit easier. Plus as a teacher I don't accrue holiday so may as well take the time before as will be back the following Sept regardless of when I finish so I can have a proper timetable (if I start later I won't get any exam groups just younger ones).

MrBobLobLaw · 13/08/2019 11:23

Hi everyone,
I haven't RTFT yet but thought I'd join up as I'm due DC2 on 4th Nov so now 28+1.

Such a different experience being pregnant with a toddler to chase after, no time to sit back and enjoy it. But I must say I've been really lucky to have an easy ride of it so far.

Pretty stressful atm though as we're selling DPs flat and buying a new place together and really hoping to complete before baby2 shows up so fingers crossed!!

Is anyone else at Kings in London? I had DS there and had a good experience, considering a home birth this time as DS was born so quickly.

Farmmum7 · 14/08/2019 15:46

I feel like giving up now and hibernating until I pop! I saw the Dr today and he said the pains in my hip/back/butt are muscular so pull up my big girl pants and deal with it!

Ive become a big emotional ball of blergh recently I think between the pain, heartburn and lack of sleep I've just given in to the crazy hormones and been a bit of an asshole!

On the plus side Aldi's baby event starts tomorrow they have lots of muslins and sleepsuits and blankets and what not so I'm going to take the day off for a bit of retail therapy. I bought a crib and some bedding the other day too and started my Christmas shopping so I can stay home once I pop and not worry about any of it so it's not all bad!

Is anyone being plagued with weird dreams/nightmares? I woke up at 3am crying last night about DHs grandmother being abusive in a dream, then woke up in a puddle of sweat when I dreamt two men were stood watching me through the window!

Mintypea5 · 14/08/2019 16:10

@Farmmum7 GPS are bloody useless in pregnancy! Mine told me I wasn't pregnant enough for PGP. Please chat to your midwife she'll be way way more helpful. I've just come out my physio session for mine feeling much more supported and understood

PyjamasForever · 14/08/2019 18:44

Midwives are definitely the best first port of call for most pregnancy issues. @Farmmum7 your midwife should be able to refer you to physio for PGP, but if you google there are lots of sheets of exercises and helpful tips. Sorry that you had a rubbish GP today.

I had a little internet spending spree on baby things today. Also realised I only have 7 more weeks at work! Yay!!

Zarara · 14/08/2019 19:15

Midwives are definitely better for pregnancy related things I find.

I’m 28weeks today so have just entered the 3rd trimester! Looking forward to hitting 30 weeks so I can start on a proper count down. How organised is everyone? I’ve started washing my sons old clothes and I’ve started shopping for other bits as we’re having a girl. I’ve bought a new changing mat and have sorted the spare room so i can store all of babies stuff in there. I find this part the fun bit but it still feels like there is ages to go.

Mintypea5 · 14/08/2019 19:25

Our youngest is only 13 months so don't need much new stuff but I've sorted and washed the clothes of his well reuse. I've brought some new baby stuff as this one is a girl but keep panicking they got it wrong (despite 3 scans all saying girl)

27 weeks! Feels so exciting

PyjamasForever · 14/08/2019 20:00

I've sorted out all the newborn and 0-3 month clothes from my little boy and decided what we are reusing. I've also bought lots of different kinds of reusable nappies to see what works.

I think this is our last baby so I am going to have a huge pile of stuff for the NCT nearly new sale next year. I have so many bags of clothes from my little boy. We found some stuff that hadn't even been worn last time. Blush

I'm not sure why, but today it suddenly felt very real that this baby is on it's way. Only 8 weeks until mat leave!!

Unsureursula · 14/08/2019 20:22

You all seem v organised! @Mintypea5 we’ve also been told it’s a girl (twice) but don’t think we’ll fully believe it until she’s here! 28 weeks today too- great to be getting closer but unfortunately that means back and pgp are getting worse! We’ve got a spare room but have visitors coming for the next few weekends so don’t want to buy too much or we’ll be tripping over it lol!

Mintypea5 · 14/08/2019 20:36

@Unsureursula I feel sooooo unorganised but figure with DS2 we didn't have everything before he arrived just essentials and we brought once he was here

I do need to give DH a kick about getting the new car! Ours isn't big enough for 3 car seats Confused

I've been drooling over the autumn clothes on jo jo mama Bebe but refuse to buy until she's here and actually a she!

Farmmum7 · 14/08/2019 21:21

I've bought one girls outfit everything else I've got is neutral the sonographer wasn't 100% sure it's a girl so hopefully at the next scan they might be able to have a better idea! I bought a crib and sheets and a bath and changing mat and each week I buy something small and essential like sudocreme or cotton wool so Its not going to be one big expense if I buy it all at once. I've even started Christmas shopping!!

@Mintypea5 @pyjamasforever I don't actually have a midwife! All my appointments are either the gp or the consultant! I'm only 25 weeks now so I've still 7 weeks before I see the consultant again. Maybe I'll just take myself to a physio see what they say if it saves waiting for a referral and the extra weeks in pain it'll be worth the money!

LittleAndOften · 15/08/2019 17:14

For first babies I wouldn't buy much newborn stuff - you'll get given tons! I'm putting off sorting through the giant vacuum bags of baby clothes under the bed. Can't face so much tiny laundry just yet.

Anyone else's baby doing the cancan hourly? I'm being beaten up from the inside Grin
