I am a little nervous about starting this thread as I was previously on the March 2008 thread but m/c'd. But I got my bfp this morning and although still faint it is clearly there.

Anyone else coming to nervously join me?

Peachy-good luck for docs appt! i have had the blood test before-i just want to know and prepare, not for any other reason iyswim? my friend was pg with a very poorly baby and this blood test discovered the problem-so its close to home for me.

i too am sicky and my boobs feel massive, even though they are in RL very small

Peachy · 09/08/2007 10:27

We had the test before actualy- would again to prepare, but the MW's placed us under intense pressure to proceed with invasive tests afterwards. rather just opt out, iyswim? Involved Dh and I being almost fored to attend the appointment- and then running away from the hospiatal.

Anyway.

boobs defintely bigger, although it would take a major op for mine to be anythng noteowrthy LOL! Mildly queasy/ tired (overslept today)

lemonaid · 09/08/2007 11:14

I get an NHS nuchal scan in fact appointment came through yesterday for 24 September (got one last time too think it's standard in my area). I won't go for an amnio afterwards even if it comes back high risk, though (that said, I might, if the nuchal measurement came back really really thick, which would suggest a really serious incompatible-with-life problem rather than Down's).

Hello all,

I hope you are all well. I feel like a whale already . Bursting out of trousers. It's ridiculous. Feels like my stomach inflates and deflates depending on the time of day. So wish i was one of those builds which carried neatly!

Got a letter from the hospital telling me to phone to book an appointment for my scan when I am 10 weeks.

Also feel sick/tired.

All good though!

lemonaid · 09/08/2007 14:11

I am actually () in maternity trousers today -- my favourite Funmum ones, which you can wear from very early pregnancy. I feel a bit silly, but they are soooo comfortable... no tight waistbands or buttons in uncomfortable places.

scorpio1 · 09/08/2007 14:16

I've undone my button i'm quite little but tall, this baby (no.3) is going to show real quick, isn't it! last time it was 10 weeks and i couldn't do anything up...will wear skinny jeans as much as poss till then!

micegg · 09/08/2007 14:27

I am sitting here with my trousers open. It's not a good look.

micegg · 09/08/2007 14:28

Now in search of funmum trousers. .......

Nice to know I am not the only one bursting out of her clothes already. DH thinks its funny.

scorpio1 · 09/08/2007 14:29

also search mothercare early term jeans

lemonaid · 09/08/2007 14:35

The Bengalin ones. I love them... the waistband is Simon Cowell-style high, but OK with a top over them.

NoMoreHighHeels · 09/08/2007 14:48

Hello all! Can't believe we are talking maternity wear already! Am I the only one that hasn't started expanding (apart from my chest)? I am so jealous of the women you see who have just a bump and the rest of them is unchanged - I was like a beached whale with DS - he was a big baby!

Still don't have any real symptoms - I should be pleased I guess but a little reminder just now and then would put my mind at rest.

lemonaid · 09/08/2007 14:52

To be fair, I have fat/bloated days when not pregnant when I look longingly at my maternity trousers . It's just that now I feel I have just enough justification for actually putting them on to tip me over the edge into doing it...

Daftmoo · 09/08/2007 14:54

I was huge all over with ds, he was 10lb 6oz and every part of me expanded.

I'm going in search of those funmum trousers too now, my jeans feel tighter already..sigh...

x

scorpio1 · 09/08/2007 14:58

I'm one of those annoying women apparently!

my ds's were 6lb 11oz & 8lb 1oz at birth.

my tummy has swollen, i have got changed into my leggings . may have to go buy clothes in the next size up in the next few weeks...

NoMoreHighHeels · 09/08/2007 15:00

Can't wait to dig out those sexy maternity knickers and the even worse maternity tights.....

Must admit a snug pair of trousers are very snug now - probably because I've stopped my daily exercise rather than LO!

Anyone had any cravings yet? I've not but I've gone off sweet things like biscuits and chocolate. So no booze and sweet stuff - I am so gonna be a size 10 in labour!

Think Daftmoo get the prize for the biggest baby 10lb+ ouch.......

scorpio1 · 09/08/2007 15:05

my friend had 11lb 7oz bay by CS!

i cannot stand sweet stuff or anything fatty anymore-also tea tastes weird but coffee doesn't (am limiting my caffeine now). want more milk for some reason

CeylonSapphire · 09/08/2007 15:08

Gosh - you're already starting to feel clothes are tighter? Mine aren't. However the chest has expanded rapidly, quite frightening just how quick!

No cravings yet, but finding it a real struggle to eat - I have no appetite, which is really strange! I usually graze throughout the day!

lemonaid · 09/08/2007 15:20

DS was 10lb 5.5oz, so just behind you... I definitely looked as though I was having twins!

Chest has not grown at all, but then it never went down post-DS so I was rather hoping it wouldn't inflate further.

lemonaid · 09/08/2007 15:22

BTW, I think the tightness (in my case at least) is down to wind rather than anything more exciting. But if I'm going to feel tired and ill, which I have no control over, I can at least exercise the small degree of control I have remaining and be tired and ill in comfortable trousers...

Rainbowdays · 09/08/2007 18:20

I have started bloating towards the end of the day. I long for getting into maternity trousers, but I gave all mine away. There were one pair of maternity trousers that I lived in during both pregnancies, now have been passed onto SIL, and although she does not need them now, I can't ring up and ask her if they are still usable without reveiling that I am pg again, so will have to do without. I think I might have to splash out and go shopping for a nice all day / everyday, pair of maternity trousers soon. I am also starting to feel the tiedness, now, and feeling less patient with the children. But overall I am still doing ok.

Lemonaid and daftmoo- wow big babies, a definite ouch size from both of you!

Sounds like we are all on-track with symptoms, or starting them.

KnitterInTheNW · 09/08/2007 19:51

I'm so glad I'm not the only one whose trousers are tight!
I went to m+s on my way home from work to get fitted for a maternity bra, my normal ones are far too small now, the wires are digging in and I have the attractive 4 boobed look. I've gone from a C cup to a DD, and the nice lady said 'this should last you a few weeks'!!! I asked if I could keep it on, it feels like PJs... bliss!!

Daftmoo, can I ask if your ds was born by cs? And at how many weeks? I just found out that's what most diabetics have to have cs's at around 38 weeks cos we're at high risk of pre eclampsia and all sorts of other pleasant things in the final couple of weeks. Sorry for bombarding you with questions, I don't know anyone else to ask yet!

Fleecy · 09/08/2007 19:53

Ooh can I join? I'm due around 5 April which is great but a bit of a shock - dd isn't quite 11 months yet so I'll have a 17/18 month gap between them.

Sore boobies and bloaty tummy but not too bad as yet...

Peachy · 09/08/2007 20:03

Saw GP today, he was great- wish i'd ahd him in first pg, as it turns out his wife had hyperemesis!

My skirt a bit unzipped as well
