I am a little nervous about starting this thread as I was previously on the March 2008 thread but m/c'd. But I got my bfp this morning and although still faint it is clearly there.

Anyone else coming to nervously join me?

i think paracetemol is ok, but you should check that first. maybe a hot water bottle? try to have a lie down, they will go.

loisstella · 17/08/2007 15:13

scorpio - you are the best - you are like the 'earth' mother keeping everyone sane and felt loved...

scorpio1 · 17/08/2007 15:13

[rin]

hoping you all send it back when i wobble...prob helps this is 3rd time i have been pg...

EllieG · 17/08/2007 15:14

Yes you are remarkably chilled about the whole thing, but don't feel you have to be hon - wobble away if you need to!

Lorayn · 17/08/2007 15:16

paracetamol is fine scorpio, you're right.
Just do not take aspirin, I always use hot baths to get rid of my cramps/aches.
Am moving house tomorrow, and have to wait for my internet to be turned on, so might not be back on for a week or so, stay well!!!

TheMaskedPoster · 17/08/2007 15:22

hi ladies - just checking in

I don't feel constantly sick today - but in a way it is worse as I start to feel ok, only to have a wave of nausea sweep over me and carry me to 'woe-is-me' land! ah well, all part and parcel I s'pose ...

Yes, the cramps can be really uncomfortable and i think that nice warm baths do help.

Lorayn - good luck with the move and try and get the internet connection back on quick as!!

Wonder how Peachy's camping is going?

loisstella · 17/08/2007 16:11

ladies,
I am logging off!
It's been awesome chatting and getting your support over the last 2 days.
Wishing you all stress free and happy weekends.
Speak to you on Monday (when I'll be starting week 5 - woohoo!)

TheMaskedPoster · 17/08/2007 16:16

HAve a nice w/e loisstella

Piccalilli2 · 17/08/2007 20:05

Hi kookiegoddess - I'm having some spotting too, trying not to panic as I had a previous miscarriage at 6 wks but it's hard. I'm booked into the EPU for a scan on Monday.

splishsplosh · 17/08/2007 20:13

Hi, I found out I was pregnant on Monday - totally unexpected and don't really have any symptoms so took another test today in case it was all my imagination!
Though am waking a lot in the night, but not sure whether that's down to pregnancy or dp's snoring. Bit tired, but that's prob due to 19mo who likes to get up before 6 every morning. Strangely would quite welcome bit of nausea as would then feel more sure everything is ok.
Am due Apr 13

Rainbowdays · 17/08/2007 20:32

Wow we are such a chatty lot, I came on line last night to catch up, but unfortunately by the time I got to the most recent post, I could not keep my eyes open, not because of your posts I hasten to add, I was desperate to do a big post myself, but my preggo brain just would not let me. I love that we have such a great group here now.

Splishsplosh and all the other newbies that I have missed - welcome and congrats.

Kookiegodess and picalilli2 - sorry to hear about the spotting, hopefully it is just implantation or break-through bleeding and will stop soon, it is such a worrying time.

loistella - have a good weekend

Scopio - good to hear that you are getting a good amount of m/s to keep your mind at rest. Mine seems to come and go at the moment too. This morning I felt great, yet two days ago was wearing seabands all day and reaching for the ginger... but i am just trying to keep relaxed until my scan. Somehow I am more detatched from this pregnancy that I was with the others, I think it is the m/c that has me a little reluctant to get too attached yet.

EllieG - I am right there with you with the bloating. I am having to extend my trousers big time already. I am trying to wait til after my scan to splash out on celebratory pregnancy trousers, but it is getting difficult. Fortunately I remember getting bloated very quickly with dd so I have plenty of tricks with elastic bands holding up trousers etc!!!

OK my brain is turning to mush again, so I will try to catch up with others tomorrow, have a good weekend folks.

Argh, it's 4am and I'm wide awake but stupidly tired if that makes sense. I just had a dream about the baby having an extra eye in the middle of it's forehead when it was born (!), there it was, looking up at me adoringly with all of it's 3 eyes blinking at the same time. I think I'm more worried about the fact that in the dream I didn't think anything was out of the ordinary!

are any of you ladies up here in Cheshire?

ClairePO · 18/08/2007 15:09

Hi

I found out a few days ago I'm pregnant, bit of a shock for us both. I think its due 15th April. Have done the test twice (boots own - is that reliable?) and made a doctors appointment for this Thursday. I'm worried because I haven't been feeling at all sick. Also I have had a few nights recently (as recent as last Monday) where I have had far too much wine. Add to that being 35 with this my first child and the fact that my beloved partner and I never got around to living together in our three years so far and I feel more worried sick than over the moon.

What happens when I go to the doctors - do I need a urine sample etc?

Claire

Daftmoo · 18/08/2007 15:38

Congrats ClairePO !! I think most doctors just take your word for it that you're pregnant, the over the counter tests are so reliable now. You'll prob have your blood pressure done at the doctors, I took a sample with me that they tested - for protein, sugar, blood, infection etc... so it might be worth taking one just in case.

splishsplosh · 18/08/2007 19:21

ClairePO - I think it's really normal to feel worried, I bet even people who have planned their pregnancy have concerns when they actually face the reality of having a baby - all that will i be a good mum, will my relationship change, money / work etc etc stuff.

I have mixed feelings, and loads of worries.
Here's a few!
I'm still breastfeeding 19mo, it's like she's addicted to the stuff, not sure how and when am going to have to end that.
I deferred a place to go back to uni to next year (luckily as it turns out) but if all goes well, baby2 will only be 5 mths old when course starts, already feel bad and guilty at idea of putting baby in full time care so soon, esp when have stayed at home with 1st.....

I could go on, but don't want to get you all down.....sorry!

Gumbo · 18/08/2007 21:34

Hi, just popping in briefly to say goodbye. I'm in the process of miscarrying, which is truly heartbreaking.

I've updated the list without me. I really hope the everyone else has fabulous pregnancies and gives birth to lovely healthy babies.

Take care.
