I am a little nervous about starting this thread as I was previously on the March 2008 thread but m/c'd. But I got my bfp this morning and although still faint it is clearly there.

Anyone else coming to nervously join me?

So three of us, all due on the same day and all registered at Kingston? [Twilight Zone emoticon...]

TheMaskedPoster · 15/08/2007 20:41

OH YES!

TheMaskedPoster · 15/08/2007 20:41

(that was my rendition of twilight zone music by the way ...)

Peachy · 15/08/2007 21:54

Daftmoo, i'm also hyperemesis case from a previous pg. If you need a hand to hold / someone to weep to, seek me out, i'll be around. I also used to volunteer for that blooming awful website 9worth a look) and hosted their info line for a bit, so know ,my stuff.

And there is NO guarantee of a return, its pot luck.

Lucycat · 15/08/2007 21:55

there are some congratulations awaiting you on a camping thread

gawd it's a bit scary being on here - I'm off

Peachy · 15/08/2007 21:57

Oh and Dh has been given (well, for £50) a once used tent for tomorrow, and we have a child with a sicky illness (seems my Mum has given him a litre a day of apple juice for a week ), so really nto looking forwards to the inevitable pitching-a-'new'-tent-whlst-dizzy-and-sick experience.

Cannot wait

Peachy · 15/08/2007 21:57

PMSL Luce- will come look

Milco · 15/08/2007 23:03

Hello All. Hope I can join you? Not sure if anyone is still up tonight

I've just discovered MN today - been to the doctor and confirmed I'm PG - for the first time - EDD is 19th April. Feeling quite excited (and my DH too) but trying not to be as its still v early (and slowly realising that getting PG doesn't = having baby ). But v pleased to find lots of discussion about all the things I'm thinking - esp as I've been having a dull tummy ache like a period pain and wondering if this was bad news. But it seems its fairly normal....

Should I update the list of people on this thread?

EllieG · 16/08/2007 08:52

We're getting to be quite a crowd now! I reckon it's all that holiday shagging.
Hello Milco and congratualtions! And welcome to MN - I've been on here since got PG in Jan, then MMC in March, and ttc'ing ever since. Everyone has been LOVELY and I can honestly say has been one of the best decisions to log on here, as the support's been so fantastic.
Anyway - Happy Birthday Daftmoo! Hope you're having a lovely day lady

EllieK - sorry to give you a shock! Were you a bit worried there for a second?

I am feeling quite sicky today, but not too bad. Haven't been to the gym in 3 weeks now - I was on hols for 2 weeks, then wanted to wait and see what Doc said before I went back, but is good to know I can, as I normally go a fair bit (not that you'd know to look at me) and am eating like a horse right now. Going to the doc today to try and book an early scan as so nervous after the MC last time, so wish me luck!

Piccalilli2 · 16/08/2007 08:58

Peachy you're very brave going camping I must say, I don't like to be too far from my lovely comfy bed at the moment (in bed by 9:30 every night!).

Where are you all getting your preggy pop drops from? I'm feeling steadily more sick every day that passes so might be best to be prepared.

EllieG · 16/08/2007 09:01

Me too Picallili! Had a strop at DP last night cos he came to bed at 9.30 wanting to read, just as I was turning the lights out and preparing to make some zeds. So selfish.
Like the idea of those body pillows - am going to get me one of them.

Peachy · 16/08/2007 09:01

[[http://www.mothersbliss.com/shopping/preggiepops.asp have] ordered mine from here, praying they arice today!

Peachy · 16/08/2007 09:01

here

oops

EllieG · 16/08/2007 09:03

What's the difference between the preggie pop drops and the queasy drops?

amyjo · 16/08/2007 09:10

Morning all! Happy Birthday Daftmoo!
Had first morning queasiness after breakfast...I'm hoping I don't go off my morning latte! I only have one coffee a day anyway, but really enjoy it.

Got FIL's 7oth birthday next Tuesday and a big meal out - problem is no-one knows about pg, and I'm renowned for enjoying my wine...anyone got any tips/excuses for not drinking and avoiding arousing SIL's suspicion?

TheMaskedPoster · 16/08/2007 09:17

Morning all!

Welcome Milco and HAPPY BIRTHDAY Daftmoo

Still feeling really queasy - but trying to embrace the feeling (as such), as well as the tiredness (another in bed by 9.30pm here too).

amyjo - I know what you mean about the non-drinking thing being a give away... 2 of my friends guessed I was pregnant as I wasn't drinking, and the excuses of 'de-tox' or 'my turn to drive' didn't wash with them! However, hopefully someone will come along with a tried and tested excuse/tip that will work for you.

Peachy · 16/08/2007 09:21

Happy Birthday Daftmoo!

Only thing that keeps me going is food as soona s I wake- woke up today to ind the boys had raided the food!! Arggh! Going to have to head over to the bakery for breakfast and try not to be sick over the forecourt!!

Peachy · 16/08/2007 09:22

Amy0 say you're on antibiotics for a throat infection? Not too personal then! (Or UTI if youreally want them off your back.... )

EllieG · 16/08/2007 09:28

Antibiotics are a good cover story! Am round at my friend's for a dinner with the girls on sat and normally would be quaffing the wine merrily, so will have to use that if don't want them to guess. Think will probably end up telling them though as have a big mouth.

amyjo · 16/08/2007 09:30

Thanks for the advice guys - perhaps I can drink 'gin and tonic' just without the gin! DH says that I'm worrying too much and people won't even notice, he also said that he would get my drinks for me which might be a solution.

Off to work now. Have a lovely day everyone!

Peachy · 16/08/2007 10:11

I reckon its probably easiest if you can just to have the mixer and not mention it.

Daftmoo · 16/08/2007 10:14

Awww thanks for the birthday messages you guys

I'm still in bed atm (yayyy for laptops) I woke up to find the room filled with pink balloons with 'happy birthday mummy' written on them. I've been thoroughly spoilt already, dp and ds have bought me a trilogy diamond ring (one I've been coveting for ages ) a new dressing gown and masses of flowers. They've just gone for a bike ride and then we're going out shopping and to my fave restaurant for lunch.

I ordered my preggie pop drops from 'motherbliss' too and I ordered some of those queasy drops aswell....seriously I'll try anything, nibbling on malted milk biccies seems to have eased the sicky feeling this morning.

I hope you all have a lovely day...

I'm 33 OMGGGGGG !!!

x

EllieG · 16/08/2007 10:15

Sounds like a lovely birthday so far - today you are luckymoo not daftmoo, and I am very jealous

vacaloca · 16/08/2007 10:19

Happy birthday Daftmoo! As for the not drinking without it being obvious, I immediately notice if someone says they're on ABs! I had a couple of dinners out last week with friends. I let them fill my glass but just didn't drink it and no one noticed! When it came to filling up I put the glass to my lips and they just served all the others. I'm feeling increasingly sick but without actually throwing up. I'm really struggling with DD2's cloth nappies at the moment and I'm having to ask DH to do it if they're pooey. Today she's in disposables. I had a call from my community mw to arrange the booking in appointment and I mentioned I wanted a hba2c. Rather than giving me a lecture, she actually seemed quite excited! I'm quite looking forward to the meeting now. If I don't get much support from them, I'll have to look into hiring an IM but that would be a real strain financially. Hope you all have a good day!

lemonaid · 16/08/2007 10:27

Welcome Milco and happy birthday Daftmoo!

I agree if any woman of childbearing age says she's not drinking because of antibiotics I automatically assume she's pregnant . The taking-a-drink-but-not-actually-drinking-it works well really, everyone notices if you refuse a drink but no one monitors what you do with it once you've got one.
