Anyone else coming to nervously join me?

pixieboo · 15/08/2007 15:30

Hello, can I join too!! Just found out I'm pregnant with baby no. 2....I think I'm about 5 and a bit weeks, so that would mean due about April 12th....

I don't really feel pregnant at all yet, (in fact I almost forget I am pregnant!!) just a little foggy headed. I'm waiting for the sickness to kick in in a week or two!!

Hello

I got my BFP this morning . Im really nervous in case something bad happens, I feel like I am tempting fate and maybe its a little too soon. It has taken me 10 cycles to get pg and I worry about everything.

This is my first so I have no idea what to expect.

I guess I am due around 22nd April going off my dates.

Fleecy · 15/08/2007 18:10

Anyone else got past 6 weeks without many symptoms? I'm a bit more tired than usual and have the odd twinge of SPD type pain but that's about it.

By 6 weeks last time I was shattered, feeling really queasy and had mammoth headaches. I'm not sorry I'm not feeling like that but it does worry me a bit!

Peachy · 15/08/2007 18:11

Welcome babybratt

I am vomiting true and proper now, sigh. HAve to go vcamping tomorrow as wella dn DH doesn't want to let the kids down - NO idea how I will survive!

BabyBratt · 15/08/2007 18:17

excuse my ignorance but what is an SPD pain. A friend of mine literally such a smooth pregnancy no morning sickness. Lucky so and so. Im no expert Im only going off what she told me.

Good luck with camping, DH and I are fair weather campers. Sounds daft but I cannot wait to feel ill to kind of let me know that this is all real.

Peachy · 15/08/2007 18:21

Oh you'll regret those words aboiut feeling ill LOL!

And you may not feel ill- not everyone does.

SPD on the antental boards (different again on special needs) means symphisis pubis dysfunction (sp), a painful condition whre hormones cause a problem with the pelvic bones that is acompanied by severe pain

amyjo · 15/08/2007 18:28

Struggling to stay awake! Don't know how I'm going to cook dinner - luckily no sickness yet, just cramps still and a feeling of heaviness in my lower abdomen. Still doesn't feel real though!

BabyBratt · 15/08/2007 18:37

I've been going to the gym for the past 12 weeeks, do you think it is still safe for me to go?

I do step and weights? I know its a silly question but I have really no idea

lemonaid · 15/08/2007 18:43

It's fine to keep going. Depending on how hard you usually work, you may just want to tone it down a bit you don't want to be out of breath so that you couldn't hold a conversation, and if you start to feel really hot stop and take a break. You may also want to make sure you have something to eat with you won't be an issue right now, but sooner or later you will find that you have a burning desire to Eat Something Right Now and if you have food with you it will avoid the need to chop a leg off one of your fellow gym members.

Daftmoo · 15/08/2007 19:03

Glad everyone else is feeling tired too, I've just eaten my daily melon and tube of breadsticks....the only thing I can stomach without barfing. I had hypermeresis ( severe morning sickness) last time and was sick morning, noon and night...hospitalized many many times to be rehydrated. I'm scared s**tless of it happening again

I told a friend today that I'm expecting and god it felt good to say it to someone

I'm 33 tomorrow...arrrrghhhh !!!!!!!!

smcg · 15/08/2007 19:25

Daftmoo-happy birthday!

Can anyone recommend a good general pregnancy book?

Daftmoo · 15/08/2007 19:39

Thankyou smcg !!

I had the book 'Pregnancy, conception and birth' last time, I think it was by Miriam Stoppard, but I could be imagining that. I must dig it out and have a look again.

I've just ordered some of those Preggie pop drops in all flavours. My 'Bloomin marvellous' full body pillow arrived today and it's sooooo lovely to sleep with (had an afternoon nap ) but it smells soooooo new that it needs a good airing outside before I snuggle up to it again as it was making me feel bleurrrgh.

lemonaid · 15/08/2007 19:44

Lesley Regan's Your Pregnancy Week by Week is good.

My Preggie Pop Drops have arrived and have coped well with my half-hearted afternoon sickness. I'll have to see how they do with the full-blown morning version tomorrow...

Mum07 · 15/08/2007 19:50

I can't believe there are people on here with EDDs later than mine (16th April)- I only found out this morning!!!!

Does anyone know what you're offered to check it's not another ectopic? I had one in Jan 07, I'm trying to stay positive as they took the whole tube away and apparently left me a healthy one but i want to KNOW this one is OK ifyswim.

Lunachich, we're due about the same time and I'm in Herts too, will you be going to Barnet?

smcg · 15/08/2007 19:54

Lemonaid and Daftmoo - thanks for the recommendations, I'll check them out.

Mum07 - congratulations and I hope everything goes well for you.

lemonaid · 15/08/2007 19:59

They ought to give you an early scan, around 6 weeks, Mum07. I have a friend who lost a tube to an EP and when she got pregnant again they had her in for an early scan to check all was in the right place.

And congratulations!

Hello all new-comers

Just made dinner (home made wedges, cauliflower/brocolli cheese and fishcakes) and only managed a third of mine before having to leave the table pronto due to intense wave of nausea! Thought I was actually going to throw up that time (but didn't). I seem to be hungry then followed by feeling sick.

Very tired too, but I take these as good signs (in the best possible way), as it means 'bean' is growing!

Congrats Babybrat, happy birthday for tomorrow Daftmoo and nice to see you on this thread Peachy!! GOT to let us know how the camping goes

EllieK · 15/08/2007 20:27

OMG

EllieG, you just gave the April 2007 ladies the biggest shock

for a very brief moment when your post was at the top of avtive convos they thought that I'd been mad enough to be Due in April one year on

(this would be no mean feat as I'm a single parent, hence the )

Congratulations

(I was due 15/04/07, then changed to 09/04/07, and he finally arrived on Friday 13th!!!!!)

TheMaskedPoster · 15/08/2007 20:36

Ceylonsapphire and lemonaide, I'm at Kingston too. I'm only 10 mins away by car, so it is good for me.
