@TheOnlyMrsA I found week 9 was the start of me feeling a bit better at times.

Week 8 was the worst.

I've lost 2lbs over the last couple of days but I've been eating loads.

That is also worrying me. I've not been sick or anything and nausea is reducing. Hmmm.

McHelenz · 07/06/2019 08:40

I'm in week 8 and I feel much better. Week 7 was the pits.

DaisyMay25 · 07/06/2019 10:29

@TheOnlyMrsA week 7 was the worst for me too! 8 was bad but not as bad then 9 was a turning point.

I ate nachos in bed at 10:30 last night...

Mirana · 07/06/2019 11:22

Had my scan this morning! Got 4hours sleep worrying 😂

Strangely she got a good picture with an external ultrasound, bean was in there, she said perfect position very high up - and we saw a little heartbeat! So relieved, I've had 4 ultrasounds and never seen a heartbeat so this bowled me over. Now fingers crossed for a sticky rainbow 🤞

LillyLeaf · 07/06/2019 11:28

@Mirana that's fantastic news. I have mine in an hour. Mine will be internal as it's with my fertility clinic, I'm very used to having that wand shoved up me, so glamorous.

TheOnlyMrsA · 07/06/2019 11:39

@Mirana how many weeks are you now then lovely? Xox

Bentley111 · 07/06/2019 11:55

Congrats Mirana that's such fantastic news.

Good luck Lilly Thanks

9 weeks today - another milestone down 😬

Hello Everyone,

Im super nervous typing this. But my partner and I are roughly 1/2 weeks pregnant (based on clear blue). I went to my first GP appointment yesterday where they referred me to a midwife and filled in the usual form. However I took the GP test and it read negative, of course the nurse told me this is nothing to worry about, but i can't help but panic.

I was wondering if anyone could shed a light on a couple of things

  1. If my pregnancy is just too early to read on their tests?
  2. How long it took for a midwife to contact anyone.

I appreciate literally any answer. Thanks so much Blush x

MoominMantra · 07/06/2019 12:07

Hi @NaomiSophia. In my experience the doctors tests are a lot less sensitive than home tests now are. Have you tried a First Response, Early Result?

MoominMantra · 07/06/2019 12:07

Oh I got my midwife appointment through when I was 7 weeks (just had it this week)

NaomiSophia · 07/06/2019 12:19

Thank you so much for replying. Yeah the one i used was able to detect 3 days after missed period. The nurse did advise that this was probably because their test are cheaper and not as responsive. I think I'm just being paranoid Blush.

Ahh thats so exciting I hope it went well. I just wasn't sure when id hear. xx

DaisyMay25 · 07/06/2019 12:27

Hi @NaomiSophia if they're clear blue said 1/2 weeks then you're 3/4, it's based on how many weeks since conception. Count the amount of weeks since your last period (the first day it started) you'll probably be around four if you've already missed it. GP ones aren't sensitive at all. I second getting a FRER test, they're very sensitive xx

NaomiSophia · 07/06/2019 12:37

Yeah the nurse mentioned adding this on. I think you're right I'm about 4 weeks. I had taken two of the 18.99 ones so when she said negative my heart dropped. Thanks so much for setting my mind at ease xx

mynameisMrG · 07/06/2019 12:59

Congratulations @Mirana 😊

Wow @mirana that is fantastic news!! Fingers crossed for you! Is just such a relief to see a heartbeat and know everything is in the correct place. Really hoping you get a sticky bean this time x

HungryPanda92 · 07/06/2019 13:35

Congratulations on your scan @Mirana

LillyLeaf · 07/06/2019 13:42

I'm out, it's not a viable pregnancy. 2nd MMC after IVF, not sure it's ever going to happen. Good luck everyone.

Bluebelltulip · 07/06/2019 14:04

So sorry to hear that @LilyLeaf Flowers

Mirana · 07/06/2019 14:06

Thank you all so much ❤ at the end I announced "I AM NOW GOING TO HAVE A VICTORY VOMIT" and marched out the room 😂😂 OH got the day off, I won the stand off, and has been passed out snoring since 11am. Hard work for the men eh!

@LillyLeaf really hoping your scan went well lovely!

@TheOnlyMrsA I'm only 6 weeks! Hence my shock at getting an image through my tummy. By my dates 6+5, she measured me 6+1 but said a few days here or there dont matter (and it was external on an empty bladder so not as accurate at this stage). The main goal was to confirm 100% it wasnt ectopic. She said "okay theres the gestational sac" and it was kind of kidney bean shaped so I panicked it was in my tube, so I'm yelling "IS THAT IN MY UTERUS" and shes laughing like "YES THATS IN YOUR UTERUS". When she found the heartbeat I was in tears asking if shes sure it wasnt mine when it was going about 1000bpm 😂 Just so surreal. I am very aware that any day can mean the end, but today I am grateful (and a little hopeful).

No way am I lasting another 5-6 weeks without another scan to check up though 😂

Mirana · 07/06/2019 14:07

@Lillyleaf oh no, I read that just after I posted 😣 I am so sorry. No words will comfort but you're in my thoughts.
