Burping, starving, worlds sorest boobs & backache!!!!

Teaonthebedsheets · 04/06/2019 18:43

@raligator I was so worried with my first pregnancy as I lost half a stone in the first trimester (and I was only around 10 stone to begin with) and my diet was just awful. The baby ended up being totally fine and nearly 10lbs!! So don't worry too much, just eat well when you can and do what you have to when you can't and I'm sure it will be absolutely fine.

anitagreen · 04/06/2019 18:48

@Cannyhandleit that's exactly how I was! I loved comfort and cleaning products flash for bathrooms was another favourite Grin are you craving anything atm? I love vinegar crisps and that shandy bass drink thing with this one x

Mirana · 04/06/2019 19:21

Feeling rather useless today. Taken me hours to put the Tesco shop away as bending over makes me gag and start heaving. OH is away with work until Thursday night and I haven't seen him for 2 weeks so I'm feeling very emotional. Sickness is getting rougher everyday, I work from home but I'm spending most of my time in bed. Ordering food in because I'm too exhausted to cook. Grateful for every day that everything is okay (I know it could all be over any minute) but doing this especially alone is hard :( I hope babies like Burger King.

Marshmallow1992 · 04/06/2019 20:01

I'm 6+2 and have been up since 5am this morning being sick and it didn't really leave me until 3pm today. I had to leave work at lunchtime because I felt that bad! Really lightheaded, no appetite and constantly feeling sick. I have also had quite bad cramps today but haven't bled whatsoever since LMP.
Genuinely don't know how I'm going to get through the next 6 or so weeks feeling like this (if today is going to be everyday now) 😭

MummyBearBoo · 04/06/2019 20:02

I've lost half a stone too I'm now 8st 8lbs I was on a weight loss journey before I got pregnant as I started at 10st 10lbs which for my height was overweight by about 11lbs! But now I'm on the low side of healthy range BMI so I need to not lose anymore weight! I'm trying to force myself to eat at least 3 times a day but with almost constant nausea it tricky though I felt a bit better today I'm 8.1 -hope everything goes ok @mynameisMrG and @KMic xxx

Cannyhandleit · 04/06/2019 20:17

No cravings yet @anitagreen, I've gone right off onion bagels, I had some in the bread bin and when I opened it and smelled them I was heaving!!
I think my OH was worried I was going to start putting detol or comfort in my bath, I even found detol soap!

Mumof4andahalf · 04/06/2019 20:20

@KMic and @mynameisMrG hope everything is ok xx

TheOnlyMrsA · 04/06/2019 20:28

What are your views on sleeping/lying on your right side?

I hear so much conflicting advice and I'm not finding my left side all that comfortable to relax on xo

mynameisMrG · 04/06/2019 20:30

I’m conscious of it @TheOnlyMrsA but I’m like you i do t find it all that comfy. I think it’s more important in the later stages though I could have made that up

OP posts:
Cannyhandleit · 04/06/2019 20:41

I don't think it matters until much further on in the pregnancy!

DaisyMay25 · 04/06/2019 20:42

@TheOnlyMrsA I haven't heard that you shouldn't sleep a certain way, I normally sleep on my right but the massage my physio gave me has given me pain so I can't, I'll sleep in anyway but on my back though.

Lollypop10 · 04/06/2019 20:46

It’s beneficial to sleep on your left in the second trimester. They believe it increases blood flow and nutrients to the uterus. I was just reading about this i’m lucky I prefer sleeping on my left side but in all honestly I don’t think it matters so long as you get comfortable.

DaisyMay25 · 04/06/2019 20:59

@Lollypop10 interesting! I'll have to give that a read. I don't mind sleeping in my left but I toss and turn a lot in my sleep. Perhaps one of those V pillows would be beneficial?

raligator · 04/06/2019 21:03

Thanks for the reassurance ladies.
I don’t know how people coped before the likes of mumsnet to provide a bit of comfort and a laugh!
I have a blood pressure monitor at home and my blood pressure has dropped a good bit in this pregnancy (but it’s usually low anyway) , that’s maybe what’s happened with other light-headed / fainting folks!

TheOnlyMrsA · 04/06/2019 21:03

@mynameisMrG Tommy's didn't say anything about right side just sleeping off your back in the third trimester. I seem to fall asleep on my left but wake up on my right and in a morning I lie on my right side and like get bit closer to my hubsband (who is relegated to the other side hanging off the because he just annoys me being near me and making me hot) 😂😂

I don't know if the No Right Side is an American thing or what?! I'm lost! Xox

mynameisMrG · 04/06/2019 21:05

That might be what I’ve read. I knew you were to avoid your back in the third trimester, think I’d heard the left side was optimum. It’s been that long I can’t remember. I had a v pillow which was a god send in the third trimester

Honestly there's so much advice on American sites we aren't given in the Uk and sometimes the advice is completely different and I'm just like - take away the internet I'm done.

I know it won't matter till later on but I'm trying to readdress/train my body to sleep in a different want so I'm not forcing it when I'm bigger and struggling to be comfy or sleep! Xox

Bentley111 · 04/06/2019 21:07

Had my scan this evening - I'm so relieved that little bean is measuring at 8+4, 3 days ahead of schedule! We saw the placenta, the cord, gorgeous little leg stumps and a strong heartbeat.

Feeling a little more reassured and settled but know we're not quite out of the woods yet 🤞🏼

TheOnlyMrsA · 04/06/2019 21:15

@Bentley111 WHAT A GORGEOUS BEAN 💕🤰! Xoxox

DaisyMay25 · 04/06/2019 21:17

@Bentley111 so glad your scan went well! What a lovely scan picture!!

Bluebelltulip · 04/06/2019 21:18

The main thing is to avoid lying on your back in the third trimester, was told of not to worry if you wake up on your back though. I find when heavily pregnant I need to swap sides in the night and use a pillow in between my knees to help my hips and back.

I've been feel horrible all day and couldn't take my toddler out which made her unhappy. Luckily she has nursery tomorrow so that should make her happier.
