I finally got some new bras yesterday after being 'measured' by mothercare a few weeks ago - they measured me as a 38C, up from my normal 30C. Went to Debenhams and am a 34D/DD. Can't believe they were so out. Can't say how good it feels to be wearing a proper bra again, such relief! I've been coping in bralets, but that's no good for riding or running 🙈

Megan2018 · 21/05/2019 12:52

@GemmaJen So jealous of people still riding! I am going insane with boredom :(

boodles101 · 21/05/2019 12:56

Yes to the pregnancy yoga, I have a dvd somewhere that I keep meaning to get out. No idea when I'd have the time though!
I've gone from a 32B to a 32DD so far. Last pregnancy I didn't grow much at all until the very end. Unsure whether I like having the bigger bust or not!

Beautiful weather here today, spending the day in my mums garden with DS and the paddling pool. Definitely the relaxation time I needed, the sun always helps to just chill me out.

TwittleBee · 21/05/2019 13:40

@Megan2018 many women never notice their BHs so don't worry! I remember at our NCT class only 2 of us, out of 8, had them (think we were around 30 weeks?)!

I've gone from a 32A to a 34E... DH is loving it

stormtrooperjulian · 21/05/2019 13:41

I’ve gone from a 30DD to a 32G and I bloody hate it! I’m going up on average a cup size every 4 weeks, I really hope it stops soon.

TwittleBee · 21/05/2019 13:42

I know mine went up a further cup size when my milk came in with DS but was only a DD and I'm an E already... so we shall see... I actually love my new boobs and have to admit I am tempted to get a boob job now post BFing!

Stroan · 21/05/2019 15:39

No BH here yet, and don't remember them last time either. I had some uncomfortable twinges on my last day at work, but put that down to stress and used it as an excuse to run out of there early!

Getting some hip pain though, but I think it's lying on my side plus squeezing into the edge of a supering bed because a 3yo is taking up the other 90%...

I started insulin for Gestational Diabetes a few weeks ago and I've really restricted my diet. I'm losing weight rapidly and my maternity jeans won't stay up now! As lovely as it is to lose some of the excess weight that I shouldn't have put on, I don't want to buy new maternity clothes for 14 weeks.

easterbuns1 · 21/05/2019 16:06

@Megan2018 I never noticed any BH with my previous two pregnancies at all, I think that's why they've taken me by surprise this time round. Seems to mainly be when I overdo it.

They did subside eventually and my lie down ended up being a two hour nap.

@Whisky2014 I can join in solidarity with the piles. Went to chemist for anusol and woman behind the counter said she would need to double check with pharmacist it was ok to sell me it when I was pregnant, I laughed and said I only needed it because I was pregnant! So sore though.

I also have a boil on my groin which again I suffered with in previous pregnancies so my undercarriage is a disgrace.

BBell2 · 21/05/2019 16:42

I've also had some BH this time (probably the last fortnight from 20-22 wks) but never noticed anything like with my first! With being drip induced I never got any of the worry that I was I labour either when I wasn't.

kyles101 · 21/05/2019 17:23

No Braxton Hicks here either. The only niggle I consistently have is when sitting for too long then standing up it takes me about 10 strides to loosen up and it's a bit uncomfortable.

Interviewed for my role today... for one reason or another we ended up with only one, and she was a definite no so back to the drawing board 😬

My boobs seem to have gone back to pre preg too, although not nipples - they're huge and dark - dh is fascinated!

happydays00 · 21/05/2019 19:26

@easterbuns1 I hope you're feeling better now! I definitely get more BH when I overdo it and I felt quite ill and sore with them after one particularly long day moving house last week!

I actually feel a bit revolted by my ginormous boobs and nipples - really not loving them!! My rib size never went back to my pre pregnancy 32 inch. Sigh.

My hips / pelvis seems to be holding up quite well so far (touching every piece of wood in site). Pregnancy really is a bloody slog though isn't it?!

IVEgottheDECAF · 21/05/2019 19:39

It really is. My body feel like its falling apart!

KnobJockey · 22/05/2019 06:31

Happydays I'm also not a fan of my giant nipples! I can cope with the boob growth- actually quite like it in the right outfit- but is there any need for giant pokey nipples that show in everything?!

I had quite a few BH last night, I know they aren't supposed to hurt and I suppose there's no pain, but bloody hell, I'd forgotten just how uncomfortable they are!

kyles101 · 22/05/2019 14:22

So I've found out that my boss has discussed with a colleague and also a member of my team - neither of whom are hr or anything like that - that he thinks I should take maternity leave earlier than planned as I've had "so much time off sick" - the 2 1/2 days that I've previously mentioned.

Now this is not ok is it for him to be discussing with my colleagues / team members?? I'm pretty shocked and upset, and on the back of what was said last week about the lady with young children definitely not happy.

kyles101 · 22/05/2019 14:24

Ha - sorry it kept saying failed!!!

Megan2018 · 22/05/2019 14:59

That is appalling on many levels @kyles101
Is there anyone within the organisation you can approach about this? it is blatant discrimination and also a huge breech of confidentiality. They cannot tell you when you will take maternity leave, unless you are off sick with pregnancy related illness in the 4 weeks before you are due. Don't be pressured!

BridgetJonesDaiquiri · 22/05/2019 15:00

@kyles101 what an absolute dick! Did the team member let you know? Can you mention to your boss in passing that you know he’s been discussing it? So much for supportive employers - it’s not like you’ve had any time off anyway! If he keeps it up I would consider mentioning to HR.

Interestingly - I was just reading on the Gov website that your employer can bring forward your mat start date automatically if you are off sick with any pregnancy related illness in the four weeks before due date. Not that I’m sure most would mind but something to bear in mind for anyone wanting to work closer to due date.

TwittleBee · 22/05/2019 15:05

@kyles101 the multiple posting has been an issue I've seen on various threads now! anyway.... as the others have said, that is totally not on! Why do employers think that a couple days off sick is an issue as soon as your pregnant etc! (like mine who weren't happy I had 2 off due to having the op to remove my MMC!) What were your colleagues responses to him?

Stroan · 22/05/2019 15:05

@kykes101 that's absolutely not ok. Do I remember you saying that he is the MD or owner of the company?

I'm not sure what you can do about it unless your HR team are good, but I'd definitely be taking note of stuff like this in case you need it in future.
