Not sure what to do I've just been to loo and bleeding again it's light pink and not a lot and when I went last time she said it could carry on and unless heavy I should be ok and wouldn't need to go to triage, I have been stood up
Baking all afternoon and I suddenly felt a bit crampy and had to sit down, I've put a lot pad in and if I don't get any more blood then I should be ok my OH has said don't go in again because they said last time it could happen again and now I have a confirmed low lying placenta we know why but I'm a bit panicky I think he's only saying that because last time it took us 6 hours there and he is working tomorrow Sad

Stroan · 07/05/2019 18:12

@dipsy77 it doesn't matter what DH or the midwives say - if you would feel better, give them a call.

In fact, maybe give them a call anyway - I had bleeding at 16 weeks and a doctor told me.to always call and report any bleeding at all.

BBell2 · 07/05/2019 18:14

@twittlebee I'm glad you are ok, was in a bit of wifi blackspot all weekend but saw your updates.

@Megan2018 we had a monitor for DD and never used it, she was a terrible sleeper and really let me know about it, we just didn't need it but I think house design plays a big part, ours is very open and sound travels.

Megan2018 · 07/05/2019 18:31

@Dipsy77
Definitely call them. They may not want to have you in, as you have a probable cause. But I had literally 5 spots on a pantyliner and no pain and they insisted we went in. Always better to be safe than sorry x

Dipsy77 · 07/05/2019 18:41

I've just rung triage they r happy with me staying at home as long as no cramping and no more bleeding and if anything changes I'm to ring back and go in so feet up and fingers crossed !

Asda have some lovely Billie Faires (is that the right spelling?!) sleepsuits with zips in various pastel colours & some nice unisex grey star ones. I got my family to send me Carters babygrows with the zips from America for DD-SO much easier than poppers. I've ordered some from Asda just now. Worth a look if anyone's still in need of babygrows...and they have 20% off if you spend £30 at the minute too!

TwittleBee · 07/05/2019 19:42

Dipsy77 I am glad you called them anyway! Hopefully you won't have any more or any cramping etc. Btw, your DP sounds like mine.

Dipsy77 · 07/05/2019 19:54

#twittlebee I think the fact that Liverpool are playing tonight had something to do with it , men sometimes don't seem to have a clue ,although he's not letting me do anything and is making me home made oven chips that I will be smothering in salad cream Smile

Had our anomaly scan last Friday, everything perfect with baby but the little devil wouldn't let us know if it's a boy or a girl! Legs tightly closed with the umbilical cord between them apparently! Lots of very shocked family members thinking we were having them on with the news, looks like we're having a surprise in September 😂

IVEgottheDECAF · 07/05/2019 20:17

Omg i want those morrisons sleepsuits!

IVEgottheDECAF · 07/05/2019 20:19

stroan tesco have some nice yellow and grey banana themed sleepsuits i bought last week

challengeyourreality · 07/05/2019 20:43

I need to get myself one of those pillows for sleeping. No serious issues with my pelvis or anything, it's just that she is so low lying that I can barely find any comfortable sleeping positions and I feel like I'm squashing her by bending my legs or lying in the foetal position. Most movement I feel is at the top of my pelvis, it doesn't even feel like she should be that far down and it can be quite painful! I'm quite sure some of the pain I have is also from my CS scar and it stretching. My bump is really pronounced - pointy and sticks right out, definitely a girl bump!
I have not had any major discomfort until now but the massive bump is making me really frustrated and grumpy, especially when people bump into it or I accidentally collide with something! It's my day for moaning please let tomorrow be better!

KnobJockey · 07/05/2019 21:30

Fantastic news Bonnie! We didn't want to know anyway, but ours did the same. Stubborn bugger!

Decaf, did you have a Morrisons nearby that stocks Nutmeg?

KnobJockey · 07/05/2019 21:32

Challenge that's where I feel lots of movement too, and they said at the scan its head down with it's bum somewhere near my bellybutton. So how the hell does it kick me so far away!

easterbuns1 · 07/05/2019 21:41

Anyone else still being sick? Always seems to be if I have a proper supper it comes back up. I think I might stick to snacking on bread and jam!

OP posts:
Megan2018 · 07/05/2019 22:01

@KnobJockey I bet they are punches, not kicks!
I have the opposite as she is breech!

challengeyourreality · 07/05/2019 22:18

@KnobJockey, that's interesting! I think sometimes it feels like little fingers or hands stretching the fingers out. Never had it with dc1 or dc2, they were definite firm kicks with heels or turning.

TwittleBee · 08/05/2019 06:12

challenge and Knob that's where I feel like too, baby is in breach though like Megan (mine was previously transverse) but been told not to worry until 30 weeks when I should start trying to do certain movements etc to turn our baby head down as we need them moved by 34 weeks. All I feel is just constant kicks down on my pelvic area.

easter yup, still being sick here at 21 weeks, twice so far this morning. Urgh.

IVEgottheDECAF · 08/05/2019 06:42

I feel movements all over the bump. Have been told i am risk for unstable lie so possibly baby is just moving all over the place in there!

challengeyourreality · 08/05/2019 09:11

@Dipsy77 how are you today?

Dipsy77 · 08/05/2019 09:17

@challengeyourreality so far so good thanks I had slight light brown discharge in the night but I think that was the remnants of earlier nothing to worry about I don't think no cramping baby kicking away OH has decided to work from home this morning to make sure I'm ok before he goes in think I'm just going to have to keep my feet up most of the time and hope the placenta moves although at the minute it's completely covering my cervix but fingers crossed !!Smile

IVEgottheDECAF · 08/05/2019 09:21

My back is so sore today. Woke up feeling all bent. Off to work now as well Sad

Megan2018 · 08/05/2019 09:26

Ihave managed a whole 8 days without beign sick! So really hoping I have turned a corner with the tooth brushing.
Sore back here too - ordered a pregnancy pillow so hope that'll help.
I have my regular chiropractors apt this evening though (I went every 10 weeks pre pg anyway) so hoping she can help.

Ironically all my usual issues seem to be much improved in pregnancy so I can't complain. I usually have chronic hayfever, migraine, sore neck and shoulders. So a swap for feeling well, headache free and a bit of backache seems fair enough. i think I prefer pregnant me to non, how ironic given I have left it so late in life!!

Fortheloveofscience · 08/05/2019 09:38

Glad you’re ok Dipsy.

I’ve been really struggling with sleep so bought a dreamgenii at the weekend which has improved things. But last night was far too hot and the pillow wasn’t helping!

I’m now 20+6 and still barely felt any movement (anterior placenta). Anyone who has/had anterior placenta, when did you start feeling reliable movements, particularly if it’s your first and you don’t really know what you’re feeling for?

Stroan · 08/05/2019 09:58

@fortheloveofscience I'm 23 weeks today with an anterior placenta and I've only been feeling regular movements for the last 5-6 days. It almost feels like the uterus has stretched leaving some space under the placenta for me to feel movement if that makes sense? The movements are all really low down, I don't feel anything at all round the middle and top of the bump so I guess that's where the placenta is now. They feel like little bumps inside, not sore.

DD was very active - I occasionally had bruising on the outside! So this one has been odd.

Sickenss wise - I'm still incredible nauseous all day which is really boring now. Occasionally sick if I do something weird with my eating habits. Had a recommended bedtime snack the other day and was sick 3 hours later.

Sleeping - I've got a bit of a sore back, but that's normally because the 3 year old in my bed leaves me with about a foot of space and I need more than that to turn! I have a support pillow but it gets in the way so I mostly use a huge feather cushion between my legs. I can't turn on my own anymore, so have to use the headboard to pull myself over. It's very undignified!

My local TK Maxx had some Dreamgenii support pillows the other day, didn't notice the price but might be worth a look.
