Due Mid-December 2019

WildFlower2019 · 05/04/2019 13:30

I just thought I'd start a new thread for anybody who is due mid-December!

My AF is due today & I had my BFP three days ago. Obviously, I'm hoping that it's a sticky bean and I know the risk of MC but I'm not superstitious. I need ladies to chat to with and be excited with. I'd stay in my TTC group but I'm worried about annoying people, as I'm one of the first to find out! (It was a group for people who ovulated in the same week). Plus, I don't want to upset anybody who gets a bfn.

The December thread is quite overwhelmingly full of messages, so I thought a new mid-Dec thread would be nice!

All welcome!

About me:

I'm 33

Cycle 5 of TTC since November.

I think my due date based on LMP is around the 14th Dec.

BFP on 10dpo. I'm 13 dpo at the time of writing.

Assuming everything goes ok, this will be my first born baby. I had a TMFR at 13 weeks in August last year, sadly our baby boy didn't develop properly. Docs gave us the all clear to start trying again in Nov.

Hey, I do recognize you from all the other threads, as our timings are very similar 😄😄😄

We were TTC for #1 and conceived in the 2nd cycle. Shocked it as so quick as I'm 35! DH is 30 😏

I'm using the app Natural Cycles and according to it I'm 3 weeks and 4 days in. BFP at 9 DPO, currently 11 DPO.

I have an early scan booked for April 18. Hoping this will be a sticky bean...

Oh and predicted due date is December 18th!

Hello Sunstruck!

Love how close our timings are and yes, I recognise you from other threads!

Wow you found out really early AND got a result on a digital already?!

I'm 4w today and AF normally would have come by now, so I'm giddy hitting this little milestone!

Scan booked already? Wow. How many weeks will you be by then?

OP posts:
SunStruck · 06/04/2019 18:39

@WildFlower2019 7 weeks if going after LMP, but it's really 5 1/2 - 6 because I ovulated late!

Natural Cycles might be wrong with 2 days, so I might actually be 13 DPO today and found out 11 DPO (I got a very faint line 10DPO, but day after was really cementing the fact I'm pregnant).

Clearblue advanceD digital OPK had my ovulation day 2 days earlier than Natural Cycles, so I'm not sure what to believe 😄 I think CB is right considering EWMC etc, so hopefully I'm further along even though it's only a 2 day difference 😄

When are you booking your scan for?

SunStruck · 06/04/2019 18:45

Here are my tests by the way, first one taken on Weds, second Thurs and third yesterday.

You should also be able to use the digital now?

Hi I totally get what you mean about the main December thread. I only got my BFP on Friday so felt overwhelmed by the quantity of messages.

I am 34 and this was my 6th cycle. Due 14th December.

I am feeling so many cramps but my temperature is rising. Terrified and so excited at the same time!

Has anyone planned an early scan or booked with midwife? In my area you self refer to the hospital so have done that but feels weird to decide the delivery place so early. I am considering a scan at 8 weeks but maybe if I get that far I will just wait for the NHS one.

Congratulations to everyone hope the next 8 months are happy and healthy for all!

Soexciting · 07/04/2019 11:47

@wildflowe2019 I just saw you booked for 18th April. I want to book around 6th May. My friend had a 3D scan yesterday and the pictures are amazing. She had a private scan at 6 weeks at the same place and they could see the heartbeat already.

SunStruck · 07/04/2019 12:00

@Soexciting welcome! :) it is me who has booked a scan on 18 April! 😄 I am 35 so want to get the early scan just in case.

For your friend seeing the heartbeat at 6 weeks, was that 6 weeks from conception or 6 weeks from the last menstrual period?

I'm excited and nervous at the same time!

I haven't had any symptoms apart from cramping 2 days (must have been implementation) at 7-8 DPO and feeling a bit breathless at times. No nausea at all!

Soexciting · 07/04/2019 18:02

I am not sure if it was 6 weeks from period or conception I think period as they would have dated her from the scan.

I have gone mad in the vitamins aisle, folic acid (prescribed 5mg), pregnancy vitamins, omega 3 and vitamin D! Had to get an old fashioned pillbox out to make sure I take them all.

Enwi · 07/04/2019 19:56

Hi ladies... congratulations!
Just to let you know I’ve created a Facebook group for ladies due in December. If you want to join just send me an email at [email protected]
The group is secret so no one will know you’re a member or be able to see any posts unless they’re in the group Smile

WildFlower2019 · 07/04/2019 20:52

@SunStruck It's so confusing, trying to work out dates etc, isn't it? I don't know whether to date my LMP from when I started spotting or my first proper day. And like you, my apps interpret things differently 😂 Ultimately though, I don't think it matters too much. They'll give you dates at your scans. I might book one for 8 weeks ☺️.

Hi @Soexciting, Congratulations! I'm also having lots of cramps. I am thinking of getting an early scan at 8w. After my last 12w scan showed our baby hadn't developed properly and we had to terminate the pregnancy, I feel like I want an earlier scan for a bit of reassurance. I know it won't show much at that point, but it might take some of the anxiety away. Just be careful taking the pregnancy vitamins WITH the folic acid & vitamin D tablets as pregnancy vits usually are just multivitamins with those two things added in. Sorry if you'd already considered that! You have just reminded me that I need some omega 3 too.

@Enwi thank you. X

Morning! Had my BFP yesterday and due 13th Dec according to google. Trying since Dec and will be #2, all being well

Hi @cadihaf and welcome xx

Hello,

Can I tentatively join! I’m 4weeks 4 days today. Got bfp last Wednesday and think I’m due around the 12th December (although I had previous two around 37/38 weeks so might be more like end of Nov)! This is #3! I had an early miscarriage in Jan around 5.5 weeks so very nervous about this being sticky! Not emailed the midwife yet as I just want to get past 5.5 weeks first.

Lumulf19 · 08/04/2019 12:46

Hi

Please can I join? I'm 4 weeks and 1 day today. Got BFP last week, have since done three more tests, lines getting stronger each time. I think I'm due on 15th December. This is our first pregnancy / baby so its all very exciting / surreal and terrifying. I feel like I want to wrap myself up in cotton wool for the next 8 wks!

So far I've contacted the midwife and am now waiting for my booking in appointment to be confirmed and my first set of bloods to be taken.

I have been getting period like cramps on and off, been ultra thirsty (which is what made me test) and have had a load of spots come up on my forehead (lovely!).

Anyone else having those symptoms?

Congratulations to you all :-)

Soexciting · 09/04/2019 09:10

@Wildflower2019 thanks for the warning actually I am on high dose folic acid because of other issues and the doc said to take it on top as it's already 12/13 times the dose in pregnancy vitamins. With the vitamin D I am Black living in not very sunny at the moment England so I am pretty much Vitamin D deficient by default so take that regularly too, I am having 35mg combined daily. I will stop if I feel pins and needles as apparently that is the sign of vit d overdose.

I wanted to say I am so sorry for your loss, like the PP this is my first pregnancy so I am clueless, stressed about every twinge of which there are MANY and testing everyday looking for darker lines. I feel like it must be so much scary when you have had a loss. My best friend had a MMC last year and is now 34w. Will they not give you additional monitoring after a TFMR?

I am even too scared to book my scan, even though logically I know these things don't happen because you book a scan or tell a friend or make plans they just happen and it's totally crap.

WildFlower2019 · 09/04/2019 10:08

Welcome and congrats @Tilly28 @mand @Lumulf19 xx

@Tilly28 sorry for your previous loss, got my FX for you. I need to register with my doctors yet (moved a few months ago!). Think I'll do it this week xx

@Lumulf19 those are EXACTLY the symptoms I have. (Except the spots). Cramps and thirst. My boobs hurt a bit too.

@Soexciting ah that all makes sense re: vitamins.

I am also testing daily with cheapies at the moment, not sure when I'll stop!

Yes, I'll get an extra scan this time, which will be at 16 weeks. I might get consultant-led instead of midwife-led care, I'm not sure. Maybe...Maybe not.

Lumul53 · 09/04/2019 10:19

Thank you @WildFlower2019.

I'm glad others are experiencing cramping too, it worried me at first but I'm getting used to it now, its on and off, some days hardly anything.

I have done four tests, its so hard not to do one everyday. I think I'm going to do another digital on Sunday because it should say 3+ by then and I just want to check the hormone is getting stronger :-).

Anyone else wondering how they are going to get through the next 8 weeks until the reassurance of the first scan!?

WildFlower2019 · 10/04/2019 17:33

@Lumul53 @Lumulf19 I am considering booking an early reassurance scan in 3-4 weeks time (when I'm 8w). They're £90 though! But even then, stuff can still go wrong before the 12w scan so maybe it won't even be that reassuring 🤷🏻‍♀️.

I feel like my symptoms have gone somewhat today. Before, I felt a pressure in my pelvic area/uterus area I guess, a bit sick, cramps, sore boobs etc. Not really got any of that now, feel mostly back to normal.

I'm sure it is normal but I hope it's not a bad omen 🙁

OP posts:
Lumul53 · 10/04/2019 17:40

@WildFlower2019 the thought has crossed my mind about an early scan too, but, I’m just thinking that if I get to 8 weeks, I can manage another 4!! And like you say, if your a natural worrier (like me) you will still worry in between the two scans!

I got my 12 week scan date through - 5th June so I think I’ll be 12+3.

Also, regarding the symptoms, I have been the exact same today, I think they come and go a lot, but I got nervous and done another digital scan and was relieved to see it has gone up to 2-3 weeks which means things are progressing :-)

Just take it Day by day :-)

Lumul53 · 10/04/2019 17:41

Sorry digital test not scan!!

WildFlower2019 · 10/04/2019 19:55

@Lumul53 well I just went out for dinner and could smell the pot of vinegar across the table and nobody else could... so I think I'm deffo pregnant! 😂

OP posts:
Lumul53 · 10/04/2019 19:59

@WildFlower2019 haha i’d say so! My MIL keeps asking if I’ve had sickness yet, which I haven’t. So then I feel paranoid, I read it normally starts around wk 6! Have you have any? X

Lumul53 · 10/04/2019 20:01

Just realised we are 1 day apart @WildFlower2019. My estimated due date is 15 December :-)

WildFlower2019 · 13/04/2019 09:17

How's everyone doing? Xx
