Caroline- took your title to follow on the horsey theme!!

No idea what I'm having. Wanted to find out but DH didn't and as it meant we'd have had to pay for a private scan we didn't bother.
What about you?

hi girls, not many of us hanging on now. Impresed with your speed reading JAM! lots of can't walk it hurts too much pain but nothing remotely like what i remember contractions to be. Due tomorrow. Bet it's not coming. I am booked for an induction on Tuesday. Does anyone know what happens?

Myfairone · 21/07/2007 18:34

Beyonceen - I feel like that today too. Lots of BH but as a first timer I have no idea if 'this is it'! can't help you with the induction question but hope its not too bad! I'm impressed that they are prepared to induce you so soon after your due date though. I have been told they will let me go 11 days over!!!! I cant wait that long!

I wonder how Kyte is doing?

I don't want to be the last person left on this thread
Where is everybody?

Miaou · 21/07/2007 18:36

I'm still here myfairone. Nothing happening here today - not even any BH contractions. Sob.

Thanks jam and myfairone. I think they talked about induction because of my spd and the size of the baby - way over the 95th centile. It's measuring 44 weeks! I'm terrified of the placenta failing because of dates being wrong!

JennsterSlugSlayer · 21/07/2007 19:04

We're dates buddies beyonceen. I am NOT measuring 44 weeks though. Think this one is a titch like the last one, but then I'm tall.

Am thinking of going to church tomorrow as I know there is no sermon...My aunty lit a candle for me tonight at mass. You never know divine inspiration might help.

Oops. On the other hand, I used to do all sorts of things to get out of church.

JennsterBlastEndedScrewtSlayer · 21/07/2007 19:13

Oh JAM, thats very sweet of you to say that, thank you!

Miaou - Surprised to see you still here, I saw a thread of yours where you were asking about the difference between BH and real contractions (found it very useful!)...

Well, my BH still feel very strong and now my back aches too but nothing else going on.I think my LO is getting really tired of me begging it to break some water or start doing something, anything!

Just cannot get comfortable and didn't want my dinner tonight either! Now that is a new one!

Big hugs to all and I hope that you all sleep well (I meant that with as much sincerity as I could muster!)

Miaou · 21/07/2007 20:26

I know myfairone, I'm surprised I'm still here tbh too! It all seemed to be on the go on Thursday and since then ... nothing. Trying not to get disheartened but it's difficult I must say!

typhoonsmum · 21/07/2007 20:51

Myfairone. Sounds very like something may be happening. Albeit slowly. I started with Backache with DD which turned into strong BH and then contractions over the course of 6-8 hours. Good luck.

I've tried

Sex
Pineapple
Long Walks
Hot baths
Raspberry Tea
Birth Balls
Hot Curries

Nothing is shifting it. not due till next sunday but I hate the rib aches.

Birth ball did produce heavy feeling in pelvis tho. So may get back on that.

Tutter · 21/07/2007 20:55

hello all, i see from the stats post that you know ds2 has arrived . details here if you're interested. congratulations to those who've had babies; good luck to those still waiting x

JennsterBlastEndedSkrewtSlayer · 21/07/2007 23:22

Yeah Blast Ended Skrewts are HP. Now spelled correctly and probably going to be name changed very soon because I keep forgetting my name. Just looked them up and thought they were like slugs and they're not.

JennsterBlastEndedSkrewtSlayer · 21/07/2007 23:23

And well done Tutter. Hope you feeling better after your experience.

JennsterBlastEndedSkrewtSlayer · 21/07/2007 23:29

Just watched Pan's Labyrinth. Good film but my sister REALLY should know better than recommend a film like that. DON'T watch until you're nicely delivered and safe away from baby blues! I should be quite cross with her.

Dumbledorf · 22/07/2007 05:55

Morning all, anyone else up?

Oh, what a surprise, I am still pregnant, a week over now........

Can't believe some people have read the bloomin HP book already!

No news at all from here, except bump looks to have dropped and yesterday I had (TMI warning triangle) what I think was the mucus plug come out. Bit odd considering I had a show on Thurs after the sweep -thought it was supposed to be the other way round-but there you go. Also having lots of "is everything ready?" kind of feelings, but that may be anxiety.

Am getting my head round the idea that this may well be a hospital birth and have actually packed properly for that now rather than just the essentials. Not really that bothered now, would prefer hb but would be happy just to meet the baby now- wherever!!

Having said that, if I can just hang on a bit longer, until tomorrow we'll be back to the original plan!

Rambling a bit, clearly now!

Good luck for today everyone.

Dumbledorf · 22/07/2007 05:57

Morning Dumledorf I'm about!

JennsterBlastEndedSkrewtSlayer · 22/07/2007 06:51

What horrid weather. It's pouring down here again.

Just had my crumpets and about to drink my tea. Been getting strong pains since 2 and they are getting stronger. Can't imagine going for another walk though in this weather.

Myfairone · 22/07/2007 09:03

Typhoonsmum - We have the same due date but like you I'm trying all I can to get things moving! I'm not very patient at the best of times!

Well I went to bed feeling like 'this is it' but after a surprisingly good nights sleep (considering!) I feel like I'm back to that nothing happening feeling again.

Jennster - The strong pains sound promising. Hope your not too uncomfortable.

Dumbledorf - Thanks for the link. Keeping it all crossed that you get the birth you want. I'm sure it will all work out for the best in the end.

Tutter - Congratulations!

So what we all up to today then? I don't feel like doing anything but my stupid DH froze the chicken I had bought for Sunday lunch so looks like I have to battle the supermarket!!! grrrrr...

JennsterBlastEndedSkrewtSlayer · 22/07/2007 09:09

Well I had planned on giving birth today, but all contractions have calmed down and aren't anywhere near as painful now so am off to church and then for another long walk. After putting everybody on alert yesterday and then nothing happening, I'm going to keep my mouth shut. Hope everybody else is more comfortable.
