@twinkleday I don’t think it’s closing down, it’s just been turned into an outlet shop so they have prams, furniture, clothing etc. We’ve been 3 times now, once it was rubbish and twice really good x

HchyScott · 01/04/2019 09:35

We are going to see Russell Kane on 31st May with my best friend who is due on 8th June. Looks like she will be induced at 37 weeks though so she’s still hoping to make it lol!! We booked it before we both found out we were pregnant!

Onestep2 · 01/04/2019 10:51

Im due to see rita ora when im 35 weeks and have tickets to see pink when im 38 weeks. both are standing tickets lol

Still planning to go and see both - obv if things change il decide not to go nearer the time :)

HchyScott · 01/04/2019 11:05

@Onestep2 you are brave lol I’ve got spice girls tickets for when I’m 37 weeks and I’m just not going to risk it. Plus I’m already suffering with swollen legs ankles and feet so god knows what I’ll be like then lol!

BirthdayKake · 01/04/2019 11:22

Ooh same here with the Spice Girl tickets! Plus it's two nights in London which is four hours away from home. I really don't want to go but I think I'm going to have to!

BirthdayKake · 01/04/2019 11:23

@HchyScott are you going to sell your tickets then??

1Rose19 · 01/04/2019 11:30

Hello ladies
Am also due 13th of july and am abit worried with my first DC my belly was really big and high but she was only on the 49th percentile line and yesterday i had a lady telling me i am very small for 25+2 am worried about the baby :(

HchyScott · 01/04/2019 11:51

@BirthdayKake yeah I am going to sell mine. Was going with my sister and best friend so hopefully they’ll know someone who wants it. It’s only a 40 min train journey from us to get to Wembley but it know how much walking is involved and how busy it gets. I’m gutted, I’m a die hard fan but I just think I’d be too uncomfortable.

RooKangaroo · 01/04/2019 12:00

I have Spice Girls tickets too! Think I'll be around 35-36 weeks then, but they're seats so hope I'll be ok. Really want to go.

Hi @1Rose19, sorry to hear your concerns. Who told you you are small for your gestation? Was it a midwife/doctor, or a friend/family?

What were your measurements like at the 20-week scan? Was everything within range (i.e. whether 1st percentile, or 99th percentile, were they within that range and not below it)?

OP posts:
BirthdayKake · 01/04/2019 12:38

Hi Rose. Ignore randomers. My baby was well below the 49th centile at the 20 week scan xx

@HchyScott I'll be around 35 weeks like Roo and also have seated tickets (Roo, are we at the same concert?!) So I'm going to try my best to get through it Confused

RooKangaroo · 01/04/2019 13:00

@BirthdayKake - think I'm around 15 or 16 June at Wembley!

HchyScott · 01/04/2019 13:04

@BirthdayKake @rookangaroo we’ve got seats too on Thursday 14th. If I change my mind we will have to Meet! X

HchyScott · 01/04/2019 13:06

@BirthdayKake @rookangaroo ah, have just looked at the calendar and the Thursday is the 13th... I’m sure it was a Thursday night but possibly Friday then lol!

Jxtina86 · 01/04/2019 13:39

Another spice girls ticket holder here! I'm going on the 15th June with my SIL and I'll be 36 weeks. Planning to still go but agreed that if I'm feeling awful nearer the time we would sell the tickets. DH gets club Wembley access through work so they're comifier seats so hoping will be okay!

Chinks123 · 01/04/2019 14:41

@1Rose19 I wouldn’t worry about people’s comments; bump size isn’t always an indicator of how big baby is, as some women can have a small baby but a lot of waters.

My baby is big and on the 90th percentile for most of his measurements at my 20 week scan. Dd was big so I’m not worried, and midwives weren’t worried either. As long as the baby fits on the charts and all measurements (head, femur, belly) are growing as similar rates they said it’s okay.

Onestep2 · 01/04/2019 15:08

@HchyScott it will depend on how feel at the time obv but i have it in my head that im going just now! i have form for being stubborn though haha

off topic but have a quick question.

DH for work has a white transit van are you allowed car seats in vans? (thinking waaayyyy ahead about drop offs and things from when im back to work lol)

BirthdayKake · 01/04/2019 17:32

@RooKangaroo and @Jxtina86 that's when I'm going - will see you there! Hoping I will be okay; it's my 30th birthday in June so this is my big present!

Jxtina86 · 01/04/2019 18:43

@BirthdayKake snap, this was my Christmas present!

I've had a letter from the local children's service today with details of a pre-birth health visitor appt later this month. Has anyone else had the same or have any previous experience of this? Not sure what to expect?!

Yukka · 01/04/2019 19:24

@onestep2 we ave a van too you need to check what seats are compatible and if it only has front seats that you can turn off the passenger airbag and don’t put baby in the middle ( if 3 seater front seat) If it has rear seats then very similar to a car.

Capybaras · 01/04/2019 20:57

My boohoo order arrived today and sending it all back. Ordered a size up but all of it was tight on my bump already so no point in keeping things I've pretty much already grown out of!
We have tickets for fleetwood max in June but having to sell them as I think it'll be pushing it (4 hour ish drive away, plus concert!). Gutted!

Chinks123 · 01/04/2019 21:43

I’m supposed to be going away down south for a couple of nights the week before I’m due, around a 4 hour drive, for a family event.

Everything’s booked and I’ve just said I’ll see how I feel at the time. I can’t promise baby won’t be early/ there’ll be complications etc. but everyone’s saying “are you coming for definite?” I don’t know?! Dd came when she was due but there’s no guarantee this one will, and I think by 39 weeks I’ll just want to be at home (and have the baby out!)

RooKangaroo · 01/04/2019 21:52

39 weeks, @Chinks123?? Christ that's close. Don't the stats show that most babies come between 39-41 weeks, either side of the due date?

Plus, it's surely not going to be very comfortable for you, both in the car and generally having to socialise and be up to doing things!

Chinks123 · 01/04/2019 21:57

I know @RooKangaroo, dp has tried gently telling people that he doesn’t think we’ll make it but they seem to be taking it quite personally. I can’t help when the baby is due Confused They then said oh he can come on his own...I don’t want my birth partner 5 hours away for 2 days.

Dd came exactly on her due date, I can’t remember what they say about second babies being earlier or later usually.

(They also said “there’s a swimming pool you’ll enjoy it!” Highly doubt i want to be in my costume in a pool, unless it’s the birthing pool!)

Yukka · 01/04/2019 22:06

@chinks123 can’t believe people are trying to convince you to go, or dp on its own. 4 hours away... you’d need to have everything with you just in case. I think it would make me a bit stressed being that close!

Chinks123 · 01/04/2019 22:12

Well they suggested taking his car seat @Yukka! I think, once again, I need to be a bit firmer. Dp has already said he wouldn’t feel comfortable leaving me so that won’t happen, but yes I was abit miffed they suggested it.
