I'm hoping I haven't missed a December 2019 thread- apologies if I have.
I got my BFP at 10dpo this morning, giving me an estimated due date of 2nd December.
I know it's incredibly early-I'm very nervous about that at the moment!
Is there anyone else with a December 2019 due date yet?

Thanks @marshallnevergetspicked

A little bit of a better night, thanks.

The problem is I've got arthritic hips, and used to have to take co-dydramol to deal with the pain, but since becoming pregnant I haven't wanted to take it. My GP told me before TTC that paracetamol or co-dydramol wouldn't be a problem, but I'd rather not unless I really have to. I managed to half my dose at least before getting my BFP. However, since finding out I am pregnant last Sunday I've stopped taking co-dydramol completely and have taken a couple of paracetamol about half an hour before bed on a couple of nights. Otherwise I've not taken it, but seem to be waking up in pain a few hours later and it then takes nearly a couple of hours to get back to sleep. I'm seeing a different GP in just over a week and I'm hoping he can recommend some alternative therapies that are safe during pregnancy, suspect I'll have to do more physiotherapy too.

On a different note- is everyone else still POAS? I've seen what I think is good line progression, and did a digital one this morning. Got 2-3 weeks on the clear blue digital, which makes me 4-5weeks? Apps are all saying 3+5, so will be interesting to see what they say at the early scan later next month.

I do a weekly one for no reason than my own reassurance 😳

Welcome newcomers, and congratulations!

Blondielongie · 23/03/2019 08:40

I bought the cheap pack off amazon and have done one every day since. Tempted to buy the digital one that tells you how many weeks too!

Lozzlepop · 23/03/2019 08:52

Morning ladies, sorry my MN has been having a complete meltdown and last night I couldn’t post as it kept warning me it was a suspicious website!

@BostonFern yes to the bloating by the end of the day my jeans are really uncomfortable and last night I had to change into my pjs when I got home. Also find I am fluctuating between hot and cold a lot! Think I’m going to POAS this morning and then discuss with the OH about booking an early scan in.

@Blondielongie it’s almost mad to think they just take your word for it isn’t it 😂 I think I just need to ask them to book me an appointment so will do that on Monday!

BostonFern · 23/03/2019 09:40

@Lozzlepop I know what you mean about going hot an cold too-thought it was just because I had a cold.
The bloating is a problem too-my work trousers have felt really tight by lunchtime. Might have to rethink my work wardrobe and start going for leggings and loose tunics or dresses.

OP posts:
Lozzlepop · 23/03/2019 09:50

@BostonFern snap! Dresses could be a good idea- at least we are coming into springtime and it won’t look as odd to my workmates 😂😂

So I POAS again this morning, pleased to see the line was much darker so DP is very happy as he was on the fence due to the faintness of the last test! Calling the docs on Monday which makes it feel so much more real!

Notanotherthomas · 24/03/2019 14:44

Hi,
I hope you don’t all mind me joining. I got my BFP this morning, due date around 27th November if I go by last AF but could be later as I think I ovulated late this month.
I’ve just moved house to a new area yesterday, so got to register myself with a gp this week so I can see a midwife.
How is everyone feeling? I’ve not really had any symptoms yet, a few cramps a couple of days ago and boobs have been sore, but don’t seem to be today, hoping that’s not a bad sign!

Lozzlepop · 24/03/2019 15:02

@Notanotherthomas hello and welcome to the thread ☺️ Congratulations on your bfp, I am looking at a due date of Nov 27th too! I’m calling the doctors tomorrow to get the ball rolling. I’ve not had too many symptoms a few cramps and started to feel quite sick today but apart from that just tired really! Is this your first baby?

Blondielongie · 24/03/2019 16:04

Hi notanotherthomas I have cramps too. I seem to remember having them last time. And yes to being tired!!

BostonFern · 24/03/2019 18:08

Welcome @Notanotherthomas! Congratulations on your BFP.
I've been experiencing cramps and a weird stretching sensation. A bit of nausea, but the most common and annoying one is waking up in the early hours of the morning and struggling to get back to sleep!

OP posts:
Lozzlepop · 24/03/2019 18:54

@BostonFern yup I feel your pain, although because I gave up and got out of bed at 7am I was showered and had all the housework done by 10am lol every cloud and all that 👌🏻

Weathergirl1 · 24/03/2019 19:41

Hello @Notanotherthomas ! We're slowly picking up new members on here 🤗

I just did another One Step internet cheapy and the line is now nearly as dark as the control line. My main symptom so far is tender breasts. It started off below and round the outside side but they're now tender above too. Oh and my bowels have been playing up too... Just not really wanting to go so have been trying to eat more fibre.

I'm not sure on tiredness or not as I'm still exercising as normal and the nap I had this afternoon may be because I cycled for two hours (with a cake and coffee stop in the middle) this morning 🤔

We spoke to my parents yesterday so that I could have my DM as a support network. It was one of the most cringey conversations I've had in my life (even though they were completely ok about it all!) But at least that's out of the way now and actually I can ask her questions about how she was with me. My DF's been told we don't want to hear anything from him though because he's terrible at going off on one with Dr Google 🙄.

We won't be telling anyone else (including the ILs) until after we've got past the screening tests (if we get that far, obviously - seems a long way away at this point in time).

Notanotherthomas · 24/03/2019 21:02

@Lozzlepop this will be my 2nd baby, have a ds now nearly 3. Is this your first?

It’s strange I forget how I felt at this stage in my last pregnancy. One thing I do remember from my first 2 (ds + mc) was that I almost immediately went off tea, it just tasted off! Nothing like that this time though (yet)

Sorry to hear some of you are feeling sick already. Apart from on and off sore boobs and cramps I feel pretty normal, it’s a bit surreal. I’m sure I will be testing again tomorrow!

youngfreeandnotsingle · 26/03/2019 15:22

4 weeks for me, due around 2/3rd December! We got out BFP on Saturday, it's already going so slow!

We've booked an early scan for when I'm almost 7 and a half weeks which seems ages away, had slight nausea in a morning but mainly had headaches for the past week and feeling more bloated by the day. Woken up about an hour before my alarm goes off in a morning and can't keep my eyes open past 8pm on a night!

Kizzy8705 · 26/03/2019 16:39

Hey everyone congratulations
I’m apparently due the 2nd. Wasn’t planned and a big shock. I’m disabled and this pregnancy will make me worse and in a wheelchair for a while but I’m strong I can do this. Anyone else with a physical disability that will become worse ? I can’t get an emergency appointment till tomorrow as I’m a high risk pregnancy and I take strong co codamol.

I’m also freaking out about period time pains.

BostonFern · 26/03/2019 17:03

Hi @youngfreeandnotsingle and @Kizzy8705 👋🏻

@youngfreeandnotsingle you sound very much like me- I'm so tired by about 7pm, and feeling very bloated! We also have a scan in just over three weeks time. Nervous and excited all at once about that!

@Kizzy8705 I was on co-dydramol until I found out I was pregnant (my GP said it is safe in pregnancy though), I've had two hip surgeries and struggle a lot with my hips. I'm expecting it to get worse throughout pregnancy. I also have a heart condition, which I am currently not allowed to take medication for as the group of medication I need aren't considered safe in pregnancy. That, and my age (35 in a couple of weeks) means I'll be classed as a high-risk pregnancy.

I hope everyone has had a good day.
I was exhausted last night. Got home at 6pm and lay on the bed until 7.30pm! Feeling tired tonight but managed to leave work earlier than 'normal'.
My stomach is starting to feel quite firm with the bloating, and my breasts are feeling heavier. Waiting for the nausea to kick in properly, at the moment I only feel nauseous when I haven't eaten for a while.

OP posts:
Kizzy8705 · 26/03/2019 17:08

Is that similar to co-codamol? I’m registered disabled and can’t work so at least when my child’s at school I can sleep. I have a disorder where all my joints dislocate I also have a problem in my brain. I have a lot of support tho. See my period type pains might be my condition I don’t know. Still worrying me tho.

I also have major problems with hips and pelvis so I feel for you there

Picalilylou · 26/03/2019 17:25

Hello

I'd like to join you all. Had my bfp on Saturday, but have been watching lines progress not quite believing it since. Clearblue digital positive today can't be argued with.

I believe my due date will be 6 December, or 2nd if NHS base on standard 28 day cycle. I have pcos and we've been trying for a year for number two. Had a chemical/Early miscarriage last July, so this is great news, but also anxious in case things don't go well again. Have some mild cramping, but given my period not due for another 2 days I'm assuming it's implantation for now. Sore boobs also.

I'm trying not to tell family yet and see how things go over next few weeks, but I'm terrible with secrets, so thought it would be nice to join you all to be able to chat about it!

BostonFern · 26/03/2019 17:39

@Kizzy8705, yes it's paracetamol and dihydrocodeine (a modified form of codeine that many people find causes fewer side effects). It's good to hear you have support, it must still be an anxious time for you though-I know I'm anxious and my condition isn't as severe as yours.

Hi @Picalilylou 👋🏻 welcome, it'll be lovely to have another person to chat with!
We have told our parents, and I think I'll have to tell work very soon as I think I'll have to take it a bit slower in the classroom given my health conditions. I'm still very nervous about telling people, but I'm trying to tell myself that they are those that I'll want support from if things go wrong.

Kizzy8705 · 26/03/2019 17:45

I’ve told my mum and some close friends x

dalecooperscoffeecup · 27/03/2019 07:26

Bit of a weird crampy day yesterday. Thought I'd wait and have breakfast with the toddler but apparently that was too long to wait and I was sick. While I hope it's a good sign, I also hope it's not how every morning is going to be!

Weathergirl1 · 27/03/2019 08:52

Starting to feel a bit nauseous now I've got a watery mouth. Last night I felt really uncomfortable trying to get to sleep and kept waking up too. I'm already taking vitamin B6 so I'm wondering if that's been helping so far.

Kizzy8705 · 27/03/2019 08:54

I’ve had cramps for days, feeling bit nauseous this morning too. For some reason I’m not thirsty and need to remind myself to drink

marshallnevergetspicked · 27/03/2019 09:00

Hi again everyone, and welcome the newcomers since I last posted.

I'm still on the fence as to whether this pregnancy is going to be successful - I'm 5 weeks today based on LMP and no sign of spotting or bleeding, but have been quite crampy, and the soreness in my boobs has eased a lot in the last 24 hours. I've had a bad stomach upset in the night so hoping I can put the crampiness down to that at least. I had another positive test on Monday, but it wasn't a particularly strong line, hence my concerns and worry :( I'm too scared to do another.

I was planning to book a midwife appointment today for next week, but think I'll leave it until next week to arrange now, and my husband thinks we should definitely get a private scan at 7-8 weeks if still in this boat, if the midwife won't arrange one at the hospital owing to my recent history.

I did feel nauseous at work yesterday and found my ready salted crisp addiction from my pregnancy with DD is returning, so some positive feelings at least!!

marshallnevergetspicked · 27/03/2019 09:15

@BostonFern - sorry for not replying earlier, not just catching up on here! Yes absolutely go and see your GP about safe painkillers to take, sorry that you suffer with bad hips :(

Paracetamol is perfectly safe in pregnancy so you're fine to take usual safe amounts but I'm not sure of other treatments. I struggled with my hips at the end of my first pregnancy, support belts are worth looking into for a bit of extra comfort and support. Definitely try and get some physio to help to , they'll be able to suggest some good gentle exercises. I found keeping moving, but not over-doing it helped me in the end, although appreciate that would entirely different to your existing experiences. Good luck xx
