OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
gingermumi · 13/08/2007 21:09

Thanks for good wishes. Dh might be home in a couple of days, which is cool. Don't think i could cope with the travelling much longer. Have consultant app on wednesday, am hoping to find out more about fibroid. Have to go as have borrowed computer!

Redbush · 13/08/2007 21:20

Evening ladies, welcome rapunzelle.
Miniandme SO sorry to hear about your rough time - hopefully all a little better now - really not the kind of stress you need - you need these little ones to be totally laid back!

Bessie123 just a thought- here we tell our GP we're pregnant and then we get given the info to contact the midwife. It was actually up to me to tell her I was pregnant the GP doesn't automatically do - just thought perhaps that might be why you haven't heard?

pobletsmum · 13/08/2007 21:38

Welcome rapunzelle!

Miniandme - I can't believe what a terrible situation you're having to face. It's enough to deal with DC and pregnancy without the added stress of a crazy ex to worry about. How did you get on with the lawyer?

Bessie123 - in our area, you tell a nurse/GP you're pregnant then have to make an appointment to see a midwife at about 8 weeks (then they book you a scan at that appt). I wonder whether you should perhaps ring your surgery/health clinic and ask what the normal procedure is near you?

As for me, still suffering never-ending nausea. Every time I think it's starting to ease, it hits back with a vengeance. It's starting to get me down, and DH is gettng fed up with it already (doing lots in the house and with DS as well as trying to get on with 'house' projects that need to be finshed before the baby is born e.g. the baby currently doesn't have a bedroom!). Oh well. I'm lucky that this is the worst I have complain about...

Bessie123 · 13/08/2007 22:46

Redbush and Pobletsmum, the GP is supposed to contact the midwife in my area because it is shared care and the surgery takes on the coordinator role. But it doesn't matter now anyway because I heard that my area is particularly bad for first time mothers, so DP and I have decided to go elsewhere.

Gingermumi - you ok?

pobletsmum · 13/08/2007 23:01

sorry to hear that bessie. Hope you find a better service elsewhere.

miniandme · 14/08/2007 10:59

Egg im glad its not just me who is still totally exhausted,i saw the consultant last week nad he said while the dreaded symptoms pass usually at 13/14 weeks with twins it doesnt happen till about 20 wks so looks like we have another few to go yet.
Have rested the whole weekend and have felt both babies move again so am reassured the beans are ok after the accident.Saw my lawyer yesterday and she is sending a letter to ex stating that all contac t is being withdrawn between him and the kids due to the incident,i will also get a copy so will know when he has received his.Havent heard form him again since he was sat outside saturday but may do when he receives the solicitors letter, also had lawyer draw up legal guardianship of the kids to my fiance in case of anything happening to me ,stops ex being able to take them from our family.
Hope this is it calmed down now!so i can concentrate on the beans.
On the up side my kids all go back to school next week

lljkk · 14/08/2007 11:24

Welcome to new joiners.

Wow, you move fast mini&me (on the lawyer front).

I'm only carrying one and I feel like a complete zombie with fatigue, it's kind of getting me down, is it because I'm 4 years older than last time? Or just hitting 40? Just don't remember being so tired in previous pregnancies.

DH blames the 3 little terrors we already have running amok in the house.

Lucyand2 · 15/08/2007 10:42

Decided to change my name (from lucylou), was very bored of the old one!
I think I'm more tired now than I was in the first 12 weeks, I can barely roll myself out of bed in the mornings and my sleep at night is really disturbed. At least all the sickness has gone, yey!

VictorVictoria · 15/08/2007 11:55

Miniandme - v interested that you have felt babies move

I THINK I felt mine move yesterday - depsite my much lamented lack of bump. 15+$. can't remember feeling it this early last time. anyone else?

Egg · 15/08/2007 12:06

Sometimes I think I feel something and then I am not sure. Not felt anything I know for certain is a baby! I felt DS at 17.5 weeks last time and am 15.5 now. However have heard second and subsequent babies are sometimes felt earlier, and that twins are sometimes felt earlier, so am hoping for something definite soon to make me smile lots!

Talking of smiling, did you see Peter got a new heart??????

lljkk · 15/08/2007 12:58

Thanks for the tip-off Egg about misdee+Peter, I normally filter out chat so I didn't know it went ahead last night.
BUT... is there a post/update to say how the op went? Only asking because I don't see a post from misdee or her sisters to confirm he's out of theatre & it went okay (and even after that I know it's still holding breath for a few weeks).
Am being rather chickensh*t (superstitious?) but don't want to post a Q about status on one of their threads

Egg · 15/08/2007 13:19

No update that I can see. They said they should know by lunchtime today how the op went. I know it is all nervewracking about whether his body will accept or reject etc etc. I think Misdee posted sometime during the morning and everything was still all ok then, will check and report back. Can you imagine how they must be feeling today???? I am all shaky just thinking about it and don't even know Peter.

miniandme · 15/08/2007 14:50

I can feel both babies moving separately, one more to left and a lot stronger and the other lower down on the right a more gentler movement, think this may be the baby that has the anterior placenta.Got my 20 week scan date through today 19th spetember so will knwo then what flavour the beans are and can start serious shopping!! Cant wait !

scully · 16/08/2007 01:06

Don't know what is happening with me right now, had bleeding out of the blue yesterday lunchtime (I'm 12wks), so went off to the hospital to be checked out. It was a public holiday here yesterday so couldn't get a scan but going back this morning for one. Bleeding was red, not that heavy but continued overnight and still a little this morning. Didn't have this with my dd's, so trying not to stress or think of the worst case scenario. I have my nuchal fold scan next Monday and we were getting ready to tell people after that, wasn't expecting this at all.

scully · 16/08/2007 07:19

Back from the hospital and not good news I'm afraid. Had a scan and baby hadn't developed past 8-9wks and I should be 12wks, so going in for a d&c tomorrow. Very upsetting but at least we hadn't told anyone, especially not the dc yet.
Hope everything goes well with you all, enjoy the rest of your pregnancies.

leesmum · 16/08/2007 07:24

Oh scully im so sorry for you and your family

Slacker · 16/08/2007 07:26

Oh no, just logged on and this is the first thing I saw - you poor poor thing . Hope the D&C is straightforward, and when you're ready to try again, your next pregnancy goes well.

Look after yourself xx
