I have been getting movements too. 16+2, started about a week ago. Little bits at first, now stronger but definite kicks and flips! Not every day, but its still very early!!

kayakingmum · 27/12/2018 21:38

Wow there's a lot of us. I'm due 22nd June :)

kayakingmum · 27/12/2018 21:41

I think my bump has grown as well this week - but it could be the effects of Christmas. Not sure lol

Bigonesmallone3 · 28/12/2018 00:11

I'm the 22nd of June too and my belly popped late last week, it's my third and I look pregnant now!

Fabuluce · 28/12/2018 08:12

I'm due on 9th and all of a sudden I'm starting to look properly prefers rather than a bit chunky on the waist! It's still significantly bigger in the evening than the morning though.

PaulHollywoodsSexGut · 28/12/2018 08:55

@CrazyCowLady

Your explanation of what could cause the breathing issue (coming out of a pool backward) is the first explanation I’ve had that makes sense and isn’t brushed away as “he was a CS baby - they don’t get the squeeze”. Thank you.

Wrote to Supervisor of Midwives/Midwife Director/King of the Midwives (whatever her title is) yesterday to request a 45min appointment. As I put “VBA2C” in the title hopefully that might shit them into action and I’ll get an appointment soonish.

coastergirl · 28/12/2018 10:14

Please can someone remind me who to message about the Facebook group? Finally on a laptop!

WeeBean · 28/12/2018 10:53

Oh yes would also like to join the Facebook group but can't remember who to message.

I'm just home from the doctor, been getting tingling/pins and needles, pain and numbness in my upper left thigh and wanted to get it checked out (especially with family history of MS), doctor wasn't too concerned and said it was normal in pregnancy but she let me listen to the heartbeat!! It was the first time I've heard it, lovely wee surprise! 😍

Downside to having to be up and out early is I've thrown up 4 times though 🙄

CrazyCowLady · 28/12/2018 11:43

@PaulHollywoodsSexGut - Glad it made sense. Also thought about PALS (Patient Advice and Liaison Service) which is usually used after an event for complaints (in my experience) but might be useful to get things moving with another consultant appt. Fingers crossed the King of Midwives (great term Grin) can sort something out for you too. Let us know how you get on.

I've def got a bump now. At least half of it is bloating as can only feel baby up to my belly button but things have moved upwards and outwards!! And agree with @Fabuluce about being bigger in the evenings. Although this morning it is huge, so god know what it will be like by 9pm tonight!!

Hope everyone is having fun in this weird in-between bit of Christmas and NY.

MadeInCornwallx3 · 28/12/2018 12:14

Hi guys - I can add you to the FB group I think 😊

DIYMumma · 28/12/2018 13:29

Hi ladies,

Can I join the group on here and Facebook you seem like a lovely bunch?

I'm 16 +1, this will be my second child, my first is 18 months old.

I had my 12 week scan last week only to find out I was 3 weeks further than I thought (still not over that little bit of news). I feel like I'm huge this time round, but I didn't get fully back into shape after my daughter, plus I'm not exercising twice a week for an hour (or that's what I'm trying myself).

Congratulations all x

CrazyCowLady · 28/12/2018 15:02

@PaulHollywoodsSexGut - Sorry, I keep thinking how terrible the consultant was with you and its really bothering me!! Have also remembered that the Royal Collage of Obs and Gynae (RCOG) have guidelines on VBAC. It is for VBA1C, not 2, but does mention it. If you are interested, here they are: www.rcog.org.uk/globalassets/documents/guidelines/gtg_45.pdf

Your trust will also have VBAC guidelines, which will probably mention VBA2C/ choices after 2 sections.

I will leave you alone now!! Good luck!

allfurcoatnoknickers · 28/12/2018 15:03

@Fabuluce jealous. I'm due just after you, and I still just look like I've overdone it on the tacos Angry can't wait to get an actual bump so I look pregnant rather than greedy.

WeeBean · 28/12/2018 15:12

@MadeinCornwallx3 thanks! Do we just need to PM you for a link? I'm no good with tech stuff 🙈

Blondcat · 28/12/2018 15:47

Just been for my 16w mw appointment today. No offer to listen to heart beat and didn't ask think it would just stress me more if they couldn't find it.

MadeInCornwallx3 · 28/12/2018 16:28

@WeeBean Just PM me your email address, the one that you use for FB and I can add you. X

CrazyCowLady · 28/12/2018 16:50

@Blondcat I got offered but declined, partly for that reason. Although midwife told me her manager keeps telling her off for listening in at 16 weeks as its against the guidelines...! I think it depends on individual midwives and the trust.

Anyone got leaky boobs?! My nipples are constantly tingling, with dried bits of colostrum on them when I get changed. I can squeeze milk out too Hmm Boobs are going to be huge when milk comes in, aren't they?!

lstef · 28/12/2018 17:29

I had mw appt today and she offered me to listen to heartbeats - well she said she couldn't guarantee that she'd find both (i.e that it wasnt just the same twin we were hearing) it was nice to hear them but still feels surreal! she also found the whoosh of me supplying them - in time with my pulse. She found it pretty quickly. I don't feel nervous, just glad we got to listen. Cant wait for next scan!

rollerskaterdata · 28/12/2018 21:16

@CrazyCowLady my nipples also seem to have what I can only describe as dried colostrum on them, and my boobs are ginormous! I'm already busty anyway but even I'm surprised by how big they've gotten already. I'm also only 18+1 and seem to have a huge bump already. Honestly I'm a little bit afraid by how big I'm going to be by the end...trying very hard (and failing) to not gain too much weight

toomanyflatwhites · 28/12/2018 22:41

Uuuuuuuurrrr this is totally off topic but I have to put it down somewhere...DP has been such an arse AGAIN this evening, this has been going on for weeks. He goes through phases like this when he is stressed about something and this time I think it's related to all the stresses associated with having DC2, needing to move/improve at home, needing a major pay rise to pay for that and nursery etc but I know it's still not acceptable. He has been a champion dick this evening and just stormed off to bed and demanded I switch off what we were watching on tv and all the lights (stupid open-plan flat) and I'm so bloody angry I'm crying in the bathroom. Am sure hormones make me react differently but on the other hand it's definitely him being the feckin idiot. Sorry - just had to get it off my chest...

coastergirl · 29/12/2018 08:08

@toomanyflatwhites I have no advice but hope you are ok.

I have a private sex scan this morning, and I'm so nervous! Way more than the 12 weeks one for some reason. I know it sounds daft but I'm really scared it might be a girl. They scare me! Good job we are finding out so early so I have time to get my head around it!

PaulHollywoodsSexGut · 29/12/2018 08:14

@toomanyflatwhites

First that’s basically unacceptable behaviour. He doesn’t get to tell you when to go to bed etc. But if as you suspect there’s something to do with DC2 coming in the summer this needs to be fleshed out before then.

If it really is stress related to that you need to come up with a plan - together - to stop the flashponts happening and he needs to stop the tempers and share what he’s feeling with you before it gets to that stage.

Has he always been short tempered like this and have you guys made it up yet?

toomanyflatwhites · 29/12/2018 09:10

Thanks @coastergirl and hope it goes ok today - I had quite a strong preference and found out at 12 weeks after our harmony test and got the opposite - still processing it tbh.
And yes @PaulHollywoodsSexGut you are spot on with your advice, I know all of this logically and he has always been a bit like this, sometimes it is occasional but sometimes it'll be a phase that goes on and on (as it has been this time) where I start to think I can't stand it any more. He won't communicate about it either so it's really hard to find a solution as it's basically like talking to a brick wall.
I read a book when I came to bed and could tell he couldn't sleep but we didn't speak - but then DD slept all night and only woke up late this morning so we all slept in. He said he was just falling asleep and that's why he got shitty so no real apology - so frustrating.

coastergirl · 29/12/2018 09:43

It's a boy! Very very happy.

rollerskaterdata · 29/12/2018 09:45

@toomanyflatwhites I'm sorry to hear you and your DH aren't getting along at the moment, I hope you resolve it soon. Relationships require teamwork and right now, you're the team member most in need and he needs to support you 100%. My DH and I have had our moments this pregnancy, physically he's doing a spot on job but emotionally I'm feeling a bit neglected at times - sometimes I need to talk and he's so busy doing housework he's not really paying attention or giving me the time of day. Ive told him how I feel and now he pauses what he's doing so we can talk, we just keep communicating and I think for men pregnancy can be just as stressful but in a different way, opening up and talking to each other is key. I know it sucks though so big hugs. I'm not a crier generally but my track record so far is bursting into tears 4 times in one day!

@coastergirl how exciting! What time is your scan? Do let us know how you get on. I had a private sexing scan at 16 weeks a couple of weeks ago and changed my mind very last minute about wanting to know!! They wrote baby's sex down on a piece of paper and put it in an envelope for us in case we change our minds and decide to find out. I'm still undecided so the envelope is still sitting in my house unopened!
