I've still not been put off by smells! ... my boobs though ... SO HEAVY! Hubby's getting excited that they are growing 🤣

Dolleymix · 18/12/2018 18:50

Ha mine are the same....DP is under strict instructions...he can look but not touch!

dragonmummy17 · 18/12/2018 19:20

@MrsRyan15 I hope you survived the train journey. I've eaten 3 packs of mini cheddars today!
Congratulations to all new people. @DippyDiplodocus sorry to hear about your DS
@lmason17 glad you joined us! I lurked for weeks with the antenatal threads for DS and joining in was the best thing I did... I would have been lost many times without their support (and still would be!)
@orangefolly I can't stop eating! It helps for a little while then starts all over again!
Anyone got any good recommendations for healthy nausea busting snacks?

KMic · 18/12/2018 19:23

@dragonmummy17 not the person to ask ... been eating none stop crap all week!!

Blii · 18/12/2018 19:33

Hello newbies! I keep saying it but august is going to be so busy! Grin
I’m feeling really excited today, I felt fine this morning but I have been having mild nausea again, it’s definitely food related.

Does anyone else have a bump the size of a 9 month pregnant lady!? I know it’s not really a bump just bloating but I’ve been hiding my belly at work I literally look soooo pregnant!

Triskaidekaphilia · 18/12/2018 20:11

@orangefolly Yes, every time I've thrown up or nearly have its because I've not recently eaten. I have to eat all the time to keep it at bay, I'm worried I'm going to gain far too much weight! Good luck with your scan!

@ss3ajb me and DH planned to get some of the m&s giant pigs and put them in a baguette but I'll have to pick a day where meat doesn't make me feel bleh!

@KMic My boobs are huge too, and kind of pointier? My bras were loose before pregnancy as I'd lost weight but I'm bursting out of them already. My mum ordered me some beautiful bras as an early christmas present and I'm going to have to go and exchange them for bigger, more maternity friendly ones. Blush

@Blii mines gone down a little but on friday I did look like I had a decent size bump just from the bloating! Was considering using a belly band!

misssunshine86 · 18/12/2018 20:16

Hi @Everyone! So glad i found this thread. Really thought we would be a while NTNP as I have PCOS and doctor said problems would be likely...but here i am first try due 30 Aug (so very early). I know we are so lucky but I'm also so scared.

I am also main earner and have busier than ever month coming up in January right when sickness hits. I also have 2 Christmas parties(one only with 5 of us help) to fake drinking through. How do I do that!?

Is there a real life meet up group too - for when shit gets really real? I have no pregnant friends lol.

Lovely to meet you all - from a very anxious first timer. xx

KMic · 18/12/2018 21:14

Aww hey @misssunshine86 ... welcome! where do you live!?

No drinking is HARD ... few tips I have used so far ... 1 - realllllly watered down white wine spritzers ... 2 - chatting to the barman on the sly and only actually having none alcoholic cocktails without anyone knowing ... 3 'I'm on anti-biotics' for something wrank and no1 will ask questions!

QuackersMooo · 18/12/2018 21:28

Hi all iv been lurking but thought it time I say hi iv got really bad heartburn all ready I'm hoping this isn't the sign of things to come. Edd is currently 22nd.

lmason17 · 18/12/2018 21:29

To all of you talking about the nausea - mine hit massively today! Saw someone frying prawns on the TV and nearly had to leave the room ahah!

And yes, @Blii - I am strictly on leggings only at the moment. I'm so bloated not a single pair of jeans fits me!

Blueberry2018 · 18/12/2018 21:30

Hi guys. Joining thread- 6+ 2 rough due date Aug 11th 2019. First child but third pregnancy- had ectopic in August which didn't require surgery thank goodness. Then miscarriage at 5 wks in November. Decided to wait until Jan to try again but got pregnant after dd on 1 occasion mid nov!.... very shocked and unexpected but couldnt be happier. A little nervous but christmas is keeping me busy!

Birdtale · 18/12/2018 21:42

Is anyone else quite ill with cold/flu symptoms? I've had it for weeks now and I'm getting sick of it! I'm booked in for the flu jab on the 27th. Has anyone had this whilst pregnant and how did it make them feel?
Just feel constantly sick and added cough and cold is so frustrating!!

MrsRyan15 · 18/12/2018 21:43

Welcome to all the newbies, glad you have decided to join. It is a lovely group and very helpful particularly as a first timer!

@dragonmummy17 thankfully the train journey was fine, I was on my own so I could snack as much as I wanted without judgement. Tomorrow I have to do the return journey with my boss so will be more of a struggle hiding the nausea and not drawing attention to myself with the snacking!!

I really need to find some healthy nausea busting snacks!! I got a text from DH earlier asking how I was and if I had been eating healthy food and not just Greggs! Lol!

@Blii my bump (bloat) is ridiculous, I'm struggling to hide it and none of my trousers fit!! Thankfully just two days left of work then I can slob out in comfy clothes for a couple of weeks.

Blueberry2018 · 18/12/2018 21:59

@MrsRyan15 - a fellow teacher by any chance? Roll on half term, 3 days left for me!

@Birdtale- i had flu jab the other wk, just gave me a sore arm but no other effects.

Triskaidekaphilia · 18/12/2018 22:09

@MrsRyan15 the only healthy thing I can stomach is fruit. I guess some slightly healthier crackers may work?

dragonmummy17 · 18/12/2018 22:23

@Blueberry2018 I'm a fellow teacher. 2 days left for me (although I'm PT so I'm only 3 days a week)
@Blii I'm fine in the morning but its huge by night time. I'm having to undo my trousers when driving home from work (and then remember to do them up again!)

Moncwf · 18/12/2018 22:24

@blii I am not even 4 weeks yet and I look 4 months! I always get big bloat second half of my cycle though. Think I'll be showing much earlier with this one....

ss3ajb · 18/12/2018 23:30

I have felt sooooooo queasy tonight I can feel the sickness coming on..., glad to have more symptoms - not liking feeling so sick 🤣

RiseYeSunkenShips · 19/12/2018 03:46

Hi ladies, hope you don’t mind if I jump in! Been lurking since I found out I was pregnant, I will try and catch up as this thread moves fast! (Probably while I’m at work today as I can’t see myself being very productive on no sleep and my last day before Christmas Xmas Smile )

EDD is 14th August and this will be my second.(DD is 2 next month)

My first pregnancy was relatively easy going, other than usual morning sickness and GD. Since I found out I was pregnant this time I’ve caught hand foot and mouth off my toddler and just as that cleared up got a killer ear infection which paracetamol isn’t touching hence me being awake at this time!

Morning sickness has kicked in big time too, trying to focus on the fact this is a good sign and not feel too sorry for myself! Xmas Grin

Moncwf · 19/12/2018 06:49

@RiseYeSunkenShips ooh we'll have similar age gaps my ds was 2 a couple of weeks ago.
I feel for you with HFM, I caught it from my son last year. Never had such a sore throat! Must be rubbish having it with morning sickness!

1Bobbinwinder · 19/12/2018 06:53

Oh hi all!!
So I am jumping in - after a spot of lurking.
Currently 4+5 with baby no. 2. Thought we'd start trying after Christmas but...well.
I am feeling much less pregnant than the first time...so much so that im sort-of expecting my period any day! However I have woken up at 4 to pee and then been up for the day two days in a row now...and this morning theres definitely something going on with my boobs..

Anyone else feel really different this time round?

JenMumma · 19/12/2018 07:19

Hi every body and congratulations to those I haven't congratulated. Just wanted to say I'm eating my weight in crap, dry food and ferrying around two angry chest boulders. Great fun ! Hope everyone's feeling ok. I bought a comfort bra from Tesco for FOUR QUID and it's the bra of the gods !!! I feel like a 4 year old in it but so be it 🤷🏼‍♀️🙂🙂x x

ss3ajb · 19/12/2018 08:01

@JensMumma I need to check out this Tesco bra can barely squeeze mine into the current ones they have got huge already and so sore! going to town Friday to buy some new ones and stop the embarrassing quadruple boob I've got going on - been wearing scarves to hide it up 😂

ss3ajb · 19/12/2018 08:02

@orangefolly good luck today with the scan hoping all goes well for you xx

KBloom · 19/12/2018 08:46

Does anyone have advice on on to tell people? I am really struggling with hiding it from my friends, especially over Christmas and Near Years. I've cancelled a couple of parties but i can't keep avoiding everyone. I'm finding the lying really stressful.
