@Moncwf I was 4 days late and baby was 3.77kg and 53cm. Little 75 centile chunk.

newmumma2019 · 30/12/2018 17:10

Thanks @PinkLady89x we shall see but I've had two now and very little growth. Nice to know that the intervention isn't too drawn out if medical management chosen.

Thanks for your help and advice ladies it means so much xxx

canonlyhopexo · 30/12/2018 17:24

@newmumma2019 💖 will be thinking of you pet. Hope you've got a good support system IRL x

orangefolly · 30/12/2018 17:36

@newmumma2019 I'm so sorry to hear that - it's such hard news to take on and the waiting is really hard. I have been through this, in the summer this year. It took two weeks of repeat scans to confirm and then I opted for surgical management because I didn't want to wait any more. Do PM me if you want to talk or know anything about it - my thoughts are with you.

orangefolly · 30/12/2018 17:38

@QueenofFox yes I am Whittington too. I self referred but haven't heard anything back from them yet.

Blueberry2018 · 30/12/2018 18:12

@newmumma2019 sorry to hear your sad news :-(

Funkyemzie · 30/12/2018 18:24

@newmumma2019 what terrible news sweetie. It is awful to have to wait but it's just to see if it's grown at all. I'm keeping literally everything crossed it's just dates mixed up. Xxx

Ninunina · 30/12/2018 18:42

So sorry to hear the sad news @newmumma2019 Sad

clairelee17 · 30/12/2018 19:13

So sorry to hear that @newmumma2019 what a terrible wait you have :-(

clairelee17 · 30/12/2018 19:33

As the sad stories of unsuccessful pregnancies start to come through, is anyone else starting to panic/get anxious? Mine are rising daily. After a miscarriage in September at 9 weeks (happened very quickly over 2 days which I had no idea of what was happening), I'm just ridiculously nervous as I reach the 9 week mark this week. I hear poor @newmumma2019's story, and this is why I was torn between an early scan or just leaving it for mother nature.

Is anyone else extremely tired? I know it's a common symptom in early pregnancy, and I'm not sure if it's just because it's Christmas, but I have been having 2-3 hour sleeps every day. I just can't get through the day without sleep. I feel so bloated and exhausted that making an effort with my appearance is the biggest problem right now. We're hosting NYE at our house tomorrow, no one knows of our pregnancy, but firstly the bloat is getting harder to cover up, and also, getting through the evening without wanting to sleep is going to prove difficult! I'm sure my mum is wondering why I'm sleeping so much!

OctoberGirl91 · 30/12/2018 19:38

My anxiety is also so bad as well @clairelee17 I had a MC in October at 7+4 and I'm coming up to 6 weeks Tuesday as it comes closer I am so nervous and scared I hate going toilet and dread wiping over analysing cramping and pain! I am tired this has rammed up a little this past few days and tender boobs and nausea is present in an afternoon. So I feel you and also everyone experiencing loss at moment such an awful thing to go through.

xx

OctoberGirl91 · 30/12/2018 19:39

So sorry for your loss @newmumma2019 take care of yourself 💕

clairelee17 · 30/12/2018 19:43

I'm the same @OctoberGirl91. Very sore boobs, but I don't have full blown nausea, it's more queasiness and retching with not a lot coming up. Haven't been fully sick yet, although I have a slight feeling. I just have no motivation to pull myself together and look presentable! I just hope all this exhaustion is worth it and works out...

Blueberry2018 · 30/12/2018 19:55

@clairelee17 I could have written your post. I was only saying to my husband earlier that sad stories are coming through and its making me more and more nervous. I am 8wks today and have my midwife app weds. Torn between early scan and waiting to 12wkS. Ive also had 2 mc, both pregnancies were very different to this one so hoping this one works out. Do you think you will have an early scan? Im going to ask midwife weds if she can book me a 9wk and 12wk scan but expecting answer to be no....

Moncwf · 30/12/2018 19:59

Sorry to those feeling anxious. I know I do, and did last time too. I find it helps to think of it this way; you're more likely to carry to term than have a miscarriage (and my understanding is odds of recurrent miscarriage are actually even lower) and sorry if that is upsetting to anyone who has suffered loss.

I have had a think about it and I think I might self refer for help with anxiety. I think in some areas there are specialist services for pregnancy. There's a lot to worry about even once you get past the early stage, if it's interfering with your day to day life it's probably worth seeking some help.

RaindropsRoses · 30/12/2018 20:02

Those who have had early scans how far were you? We are going to book one but I cant decide whether to do it sooner or wait til after 8w. They do it from 6 here. Thing is last time I had one around 6w and still ended up having another at 9w too as it was still so long til the nhs one!

RaindropsRoses · 30/12/2018 20:06

And I still dont have any symptoms except the nausea which I know I should be thankful for but just makes me anxious. I'm still breastfeeding ds and have hward all these stories about how painful it is early pregnancy but it's not. No sore boobs, bloating or anything yet. You just can't win really. Sending positive vibes to everyone else struggling with the anxiety.

KMic · 30/12/2018 20:13

Evening everyone! Been a bit slack on the group today.

@mightypinkdms I'm in Norfolk too!! I wonder if we actually know each other!! It's a small place after all 😂😂

@ScotsBaby2 did you manage to create a fb group? How do we join? Are you sure if won't come up on anyone's news feed etc?

I'll be 8 weeks tomorrow. We have told all close family now and will leave it at that until I've had my first scan. Have my first midwife apt booked for 7th Jan, not having any private scans etc, my nausea, massively sore breasts and extreme tiredness are enough to convince me it's all going in the right direction. The nausea is becoming a bit of a problem for me to be honest - still no sickness, but I'm not generally a sicky person anyway. Hope I'm not being too chill about it all 🙈 ... I have had some spotting ... very light - almost like brown discharge a couple of days this week. I'm not too concerned as have read it's common. Is anyone else's spotting the same / worse than that?

So lovely that there are so many of us in the group now! Hard to keep up with it all though 🙈 xx

clairelee17 · 30/12/2018 20:14

@Blueberry2018 I'm 9 weeks on Wednesday and happen to have my booking in appointment that day anyway. I'm going to stress how anxious I am and see if they can do an earlier one. I also got to the same point on my previous miscarriage....I had my booking in appointment on 9 week mark as well and they booked my scan then - the earliest appointment was the 12 week mark anyway (I started to bleed that night so never made it to 12 weeks). But I wonder if they would be able to fit me in for an earlier scan. All I can do is ask. I did ponder over having an early scan at 7-8 weeks and even booked an appointment, but something inside made me call and cancel it. I think the thought of a seeing a heartbeat so early would have finished me if something unfortunate was to happen. Hope that makes sense!

Big love and positive wishes to all you fabulous ladies going through this at the moment....it's mentally and physically exhausting!

ScotsBaby2 · 30/12/2018 20:26

Hi @KMic I've set one up. If you pm me your email address I can add you in. It definitely won't show up anywhere. People can't find it through searching or see who is in it. Just the people who are in it can see.

Ninunina · 30/12/2018 20:30

@ScotsBaby2 how do I send a private message? I'm using the Mumsnet mobile app

Blueberry2018 · 30/12/2018 20:40

@clairelee17 That makes sense. Same here, didn't wana go back through stress of early scan and being told dates are out to then find iv mc. Like you said, all we can do is ask 😊

ScotsBaby2 · 30/12/2018 20:43

@Ninunina you need to open Mumsnet on a browser and then you can pm.

starryeyed13 · 30/12/2018 20:44

@newmumma2019 - so sorry to hear this lovely. The waiting must be just awful. Take care of yourself and will keep fingers crossed that all is well.

UnicornDust17 · 30/12/2018 20:46

Yes @newmumma2019 I had a similar situation last year. Im so sorry you are going through this. I opted to wait for nature to take its course. It didn't unfortunately, my body didn't want to let go of the pregnancy. So I opted for medical management and was kept in overnight. If you have any questions feel free to message me x
