Omg..ive just found out mine and OH's best friends are pregnant. My OH has just been talking to her OH and she's about 4 weeks ahead of me. Due at end July! Yey I have a maternity buddy!

Do u feel any better @Kcjoe? X

xLauraa · 28/12/2018 14:14

@Funkyemzie that's lovely!!!!! 😊

Whoopsies · 28/12/2018 14:51

Currently in the car on the 2 hour journey back to my parent's with my dad. He doesn't know about the pregnancy yet and I can't say anything as ds is in the car so I'm having to pretend I don't feel like I'm about to vomit all over his car!!

I did some research this morning and I've booked in for a package that does a scan when I'm 10+1 plus harmony blood test, then another scan plus results at 12+1. So only 2 weeks to wait til I get to see my little bean again. Think this will really help my anxiety. I figured if I wait til NHS 12 week scan and results are not really low risk it's then another 2 weeks to get harmony results while I'm driving myself crazy! And I want to keep checking he/she is alive and growing, esp after having a mmc before.

DH said he doesn't know if he wants to know the sex... I really do though 😁

Tartanwallpaper · 28/12/2018 15:36

Can I join please? Due first week of august baby number 3!

Funkyemzie · 28/12/2018 15:44

@orangefolly thats good then. Im really undecided about the additional scans.

I really want to know and so does OH but we will tell DD first before anyone else.

@Tartanwallpaper welcome to the thread and congrats! This is #2 for me with an 11 year gap!

Bakingabean · 28/12/2018 15:47

@Rachellev I bought myself a pair for £6 from amazon, at times I do think they work but today they really didn't! I've felt hideous all day so far.

I'm 9+2 now and seriously over feeling nauseous all the bloody time.

Tartanwallpaper · 28/12/2018 15:52

Funkyemzie thanks. My age gap is 7.5 and 5

orangefolly · 28/12/2018 15:54

Nausea sucks doesn't it! I have found that swimming and walking weirdly make me feel a bit less sick. Also fizzy water with a bit of juice in it. Hope you all feel a bit better soon.

newmumma2019 · 28/12/2018 16:06

How are you all keeping? Been quiet recently as in this 2 week wait until next scan. One week to go. Had first midwife appointment today. She seemed very positive so fingers crossed for positive news next Friday. Every day seems to be taking an age!

Mum dad and sister helped to cover Xmas drinking but nausea meant I was early to bed - assumed due to 'too much gin'. Haha

Hope you all had lovely Xmas with your families xx

marajade12 · 28/12/2018 16:13

My spotting has started again so have decided to get it checked out. Will be 8 weeks tomorrow. EPU scan is on Monday. Praying that everything is ok. Still have symptoms but not as bad as they were two weeks ago.

MrsH1990 · 28/12/2018 16:41

Good afternoon girls!
Glad peoples scans are going well!
My 6 week one was fab and got my private one booked for Sunday 😬 with having 2 Mmc I wanted to book a scan after 8 weeks as chances of miscarriage after hearing a heartbeat after 8 weeks goes right down! So being safe than sorry and to ease my anxiety....
Is anyone else being a moody bitch or is just me 🤣🙈Poor DH 🙊 also when I'm cold my nipples feel like they're constantly getting crippled 😩 does anyone else get this?
Xx

milly2000 · 28/12/2018 18:05

Evening ladies!!

Quick one!! Is it safe to have a Chinese takeaway? I really fancy one and as I've been off food for a while I don't want to miss my chance to eat!

starryeyed13 · 28/12/2018 18:12

@marajade12 hope all goes ok!

starryeyed13 · 28/12/2018 18:12

@milly2000 I don't see why not - just avoid any raw fish!

milly2000 · 28/12/2018 18:19

Thanks @starryeyed13 wasn't sure!

milly2000 · 28/12/2018 19:29

Also what's everyone's view on eating pineapple? Nothing I can see on the NHS website to avoid it?

Kcjoe · 28/12/2018 19:31

@Funkyemzie No I still feel rubbish 😂 I had a bath and put a bowl of hot water with eucalyptus in the bathroom whilst the bath was running. I popped into boots earlier and spoke to the pharmacist. They told me to stick to paracetamol and lozenges. I think I'll have a cup of lemon and honey in a bit.

All this talk of nausea is getting me worried. When I was pregnant with my son 8 years ago I had the nausea but no sickness. I start a new job on 7th Jan and I obviously don't want to tell them that I'm pregnant straight away. I'm worried the nausea may give it away when it comes! X

PinkLady89x · 28/12/2018 19:36

Hey ladies,
I can't believe this one seems to be sticking! I am 5 weeks today and took another test - not really sure why - and the first line on the first response test was sooo dark and made the other line look faint! Took another digital a week after the first one and it then said 2-3 weeks, so going up as is should be. So I'm happy with that.
After having a mmc last time at 5 weeks 6 days, didn't find it until early scan at 8 weeks (no signs at all of Mc), I still can't accept that I'm actually pregnant which I think is a sensible approach to maybe have until I see a heartbeat! I always said that I wouldn't believe it until I see it alive in future so I'm going to book an early scan for 6.5 weeks ish.
After my mmc and chemical last month, I read about taking aspirin and I decided I would start before conception. I'm still taking it each day because I'm worried now that if I stop, things will end badly again. Everywhere says it's safe but I can't help but worry! I'm also taking b6 because I read lots of research about it preventing miscarriages. This is alongside the pregnacare vitamins... hope I'm not over doing it but everything seems much better this time. Having said that, I'm having literally no symptoms 😅. I had backache and tiredness on and off but nothing else. Who knows, maybe it'll start soon!

Bakingabean · 28/12/2018 19:40

@MrsH1990. I too am being a moody bitch, I feel so bad for my DP as he's being so good about it.

And yes to the crippled nips. As soon as I get cold they're so painful! On the plus side for DP he thinks it's hilarious. So at least that's cancelling out my moodiness!

OctoberGirl91 · 28/12/2018 19:44

@PinkLady89x I'm also just over 5 weeks I got my 3+ on clearblue digital yesterday I lost my baby at 7+4 on 4th October. Did you ask GP about Aspirin? I asked and they said they don't recommend if because I've only one MC but could take it it I wanted too, I think I want to take it but worried it forgot to ask if it's safe, did you speak to anyone?

I have had 2 previous healthy DD and want to do anything I can to prevent another MC. Fx for sticky baby bean xx

EverythingNow · 28/12/2018 19:46

Glad things are going well @pinklady89 xx
