My due date has been brought forward to the 3rd August- so I can plan for an ELCS in early July. That's only 6 months away! Shock

Ninunina · 27/12/2018 21:35

That's great news @EverythingNow . We seem to be measuring the same.

Kcjoe · 27/12/2018 21:48

@dragonmummy17 oh no. Sorry to hear that. Hopefully you are now taking time away from this thread and taking time for yourself x

starryeyed13 · 27/12/2018 23:55

@dragonmummy17 so sorry for your loss hun

starryeyed13 · 28/12/2018 00:00

@ss3ajb oh goodness! Well done for managing to avoid spewing on the shop assistant 😂 hope you feel better!

starryeyed13 · 28/12/2018 00:03

@ScotsBaby2 I have exactly the same due date as you and other than feeling tired and sore boobs I have no other symptoms at the moment. Don't know whether to be relieved or worried! Everyone is so different!

mightypinkdms · 28/12/2018 04:09

Ugh, am really suffering with nausea. I had it with my previous two as well, but this time it feels ramped up. Waking up at three to be sick, then feeling sick all day, then being sick early evening 😔 anyone else waking up in the early hours to be sick??

ScotsBaby2 · 28/12/2018 05:01

@starryeyed13 I'm going with all ok. It's a very different pregnancy to last time but that doesn't mean something is wrong. I'm going to try and make it to 12 weeks. My boobs aren't even sore. I wonder if they are just desensitised due to breastfeeding.

Anyone else waking in the night and struggling to get back to sleep?

Bakingabean · 28/12/2018 06:40

@ScotsBaby2 - I am! If (when) I wake up to go to the loo then I never get back to sleep. I've started having to wake up at midnight to go so that I can sleep till 5:30 before needing to go again. If I wake up at 3/4 then I don't get back to sleep even though I'm exhausted. Infuriating!

@starryeyed13 not waking up to be sick but my nausea is worse first thing (until I drink tea) and then in the evenings. And actually mid afternoon. So basically all the time! Ug

Blueberry2018 · 28/12/2018 07:25

@Ninunina and @EverythingNow Fantastic news with both scans!

@ScotsBaby2 I am constantly waking early in middle of night around 1am for wee then awake till about 2ish then awake again at 4am! So annoying.

Ninunina · 28/12/2018 07:51

@starryeyed13 I was worried about my lack of nausea too. I was so sick with my other two, but this time I am only getting waves of nausea occasionally and have only been sick twice. Each pregnancy is so different.

Instead of nausea I seem to be burping quite a bit (glam!) My stomach is extremely bloated too. I'm blaming the progesterone tablets I'm taking.

UnicornDust17 · 28/12/2018 08:06

@Whoopsies good luck for your scan today x

Blueberry2018 · 28/12/2018 09:04

@Whoopsies good luck today!!

EverythingNow · 28/12/2018 09:05

Good luck @whoopsies

Ninunina · 28/12/2018 09:19

Best of luck with the scan @Whoopsies

UnicornDust17 · 28/12/2018 09:38

Just had my follow up scan. So far so good. Measuring 8+6 which matches my dates exactly at the moment, EDD 3rd Aug.

Booking in appointment tomorrow and 12 week scan booked for 22nd.

Feeling a little bit less stressed, and may even buy a pair of maternity jeans now...

Still feels like a long way to go.... Midwife said further past 8 weeks you get the better..

EverythingNow · 28/12/2018 09:43

Great news @unicorndust17! I bought some maternity jeans after my scan yesterday too!

Loupenny25 · 28/12/2018 09:53

Hello all!

I've been lurking in the shadows but I'm now after some advice, approximate DD August 18th, FTM for some background!

I'm wondering who you can go to for help/reassurance at this stage in the process? I have my booking in appt. on 10th Jan which I self referred for but the past few days I have been having a strong pain on my left hand side intermittently. It's not like severe-rolling-around-call-an-ambulance but enough to take your breath away.

The internet says to talk to your midwife or health care provider... but I don't have one yet! Getting an appt. soon at my GPs is about as likely as me winning a gold medal in the olympics. My local hospital has a midwife 24 hour help line but it specifically says for pregnancies past 14 weeks. What are we chopped liver Wink ? Should I ring them anyway or there is a direct number for my other local hospitals EPAU.

I don't like to cause a big fuss over what's probably nothing but wondered if anyone has any experience of the best port of call this early on?

orangefolly · 28/12/2018 10:08

@Loupenny25 it's probably nothing to worry about (gas or something) but worth getting checked out. Suggest you ring EPAU and see whst they say.

I'm thinking about booking in for the Harmony test for when I hit 10 weeks. Anyone else doing that? Would be reassuring to have the scan and I'm 37 so prob not a bad idea on age grounds...

EverythingNow · 28/12/2018 10:10

Ring your GP and ask for a telephone appointment? I find they usually ask you to come in. Or say it's urgent, generally drs receptionist are really good if you're pregnant or calling about a small child.

EverythingNow · 28/12/2018 10:13

@orangefolly, I was considering it - I'm 39. But the Dr at the private clinic yesterday said that she recommended me having the NT and blood test on the NHS first and then potentially NIPT. Given she could have advised us to and we would have booked it with her, we are going to take her advice.

EverythingNow · 28/12/2018 10:14

Might change my mind depending on my MW advice tho!

UnicornDust17 · 28/12/2018 10:22

@Loupenny25 call the EPU and they'll be able to advise you, good luck!

@orangefolly I am also considering it, as I'm 42 , but need to do a bit more research first.

Blueberry2018 · 28/12/2018 10:24

@Loupenny25 I would go through 111 if you cant get a gp appointment, they can refer you to epau. Although epau wont see u unless your 6 wks+.

Loupenny25 · 28/12/2018 10:28

Thank you for your responses, will give them a ring.

I'm always so concerned about wasting Dr/NHS time!
