Hi everyone just popping on to say I had a miscarriage on Christmas Day so I'm leaving this thread. Good luck to everyone... I hope you are all celebrating next Christmas with your new babies.

Oh no @dragonmummy17 I'm so sorry to hear that. And what awful timing too (although it would always be awful). My thoughts are with you. Wishing you all the best for healing from this x

Has anyone else had regular spotting? I have had spotting - ranging from bright red to brown for about 3 weeks now. I went for a scan on 10 dec when I was expecting to be 6/7 weeks and measured too early at 5 weeks. Got scanned again at 20 dec and measured 6 weeks and had a heart beat. I’m still spotting though. So the combination of spotting daily and measuring 2/3 weeks behind on scan that’s not letting me relax. I know seeing the heartbeat should be a positive thing but it hasn’t calmed my anxiety. They said to me on last scan that if the spotting is still ongoing after 2 weeks I can call the EPU back and be examined and rescanned. I just cannot relax xx

@dragonmummy17 Truly truly gutted for you. You take care of yourself.

@charlottebs1988 Just try to keep positive, theres nothing else you can do to be honest x

@dragonmummy17 I’m so sorry to hear that, thoughts with you at this difficult time 💐 x

@charlottesweb1988 I’ve had spotting for about a week now, I’m 7w 5d, I had this a lot in my last pregnancy and have been diagnosed with cervical erosion since. I haven’t had a scan yet as the spotting is tapering off now and I’ve not had any cramping. The spotting was always a very small amount after wiping after Bm ( sorry tmi!) I’m thinking about a private scan in new year as I can’t wait another 4 weeks, 12 week scan is on 23rd jan which is ages away. Dh is not too keen on having a private scan though.

How is everyone doing tonight? I'm just gone 8 weeks and feeling extremely tired, bloated with sore boobs. Slight queasiness which comes and goes. I've only retched and gagged once but nothing came up. I feel like I have a lack of symptoms although the ones I have are pretty common and enough for me!

Funkyemzie · 27/12/2018 20:03

@dragonmummy17, oh darling, I'm so sorry! Hope you are resting and taking it easy. Big hugs to you and your family! Xxx

Ninunina · 27/12/2018 20:29

Just reporting in after my scan. All seemed well and baby is measuring at 8+5 weeks and there was a nice strong heart beat. The blood that was around the uterus is now gone, and my consultant seems happy that my cervix seems to be ok so far, so no plans for a stitch yet.
@EverythingNow how was your scan.

ScotsBaby2 · 27/12/2018 20:51

@Ninunina that's an excellent update! What does that mean for your due date?

ss3ajb · 27/12/2018 20:51

@dragonmummy am so very sorry to hear your news - my thoughts are with you xx

UnicornDust17 · 27/12/2018 20:55

Great news @Ninunina!

ss3ajb · 27/12/2018 20:57

I had my first nearly throw up in public moment yesterday, was in the queue for boots Boxing Day sale and all of a sudden had a huge wave of nausea and had to leave DH and run to nearest bathroom. Was not actually sick in the end but for a horrible moment I thought the checkout assistant was going to be covered in it! 🤣

EverythingNow · 27/12/2018 21:01

Great thanks @ninunina! Glad you had good news too. All good, baby measuring 8+5 so a couple of days ahead of my dates but will wait til 12wk scan to confirm dates.

The sonograpger also had no problem scanning abdominally.
