Wow this thread is moving quickly! 6+3 now and got my scan with the nhs booked for exactly 12 weeks. Booking in is at 10 weeks.
Not sure about the hospital though and might change to the hospital I gave birth in last time (we have moved since). The old hospital had better pain relief options!

Nausea has knocked me sideways. Couldn't even pack the dishwasher earlier as it smelt of garlic and I have some leftover soup that needs throwing out but have to ask my husband to do it as I can't face it.

I'm exhausted too but thankfully I had booked annual leave this week. Not due back into work till next Friday!

I'm having an awful time getting my 1 year old to sleep at the moment and he has been in our bed by 4am every night this week
I think I've cracked it though....I put the dog bed in his room so he isn't waking up alone 👌👌

@KMic I had light-headedness last pregnancy and the midwife said it was completely normal. It's quite scary though eh?

newmumma2019 · 20/12/2018 21:46

Thanks @dragonmummy17 and @Triskaidekaphilia will let you all know how it goes!!!

Funkyemzie · 20/12/2018 21:47

Evening everyone!

Got my BFP yesterday at 11dpo and the line was as dark as the control line so was quite shocked really and not sure if that means anything as my last one was really faint at 11dpo and my first pregnancy was just in between the 2.

This is my 3rd pregnancy this year so I'm really hoping for 3rd time lucky sticky bean!

According to fertility friend I'm due 30th August. I've been having stretching cramps today when I stand up etc but also I've had diarrhoea which I normally get like clockwork before af comes, due to drop in progesterone. Has anyone had this before at all? Got 1-2 weeks on CB digital, ill be 4 weeks tomorrow.

I can't even tell you all how literally petrified I am atm but I'm definately staying in the positive mindset.

Sorry that was a whole lot of waffle! Grin

The FRER was done yesterday with a really dark line at 11dpo. The CB was done tonight 12dpo.

UnicornDust17 · 20/12/2018 22:04

@dragonmummy17 I had to tell my boss as I've had a few unexpected days off and got called back to the hospital yesterday literally 10 minutes after I got into work. 🙄
I hope you're OK?

ScotsBaby2 · 20/12/2018 22:15

I did this at 6 weeks. I took a picture of the packet as I can never remember what the little numbers mean on the test.
By your test you are 3-4 weeks pregnant (1-2 post conception)

@KMic I fainted in my first pregnancy as my blood pressure was so so low all through that pregnancy.

My midwife has also told me that they can phone and book a scan at my booking appointment so it shouldn't be an issue getting one. They want to have it between 12 and 14 weeks to take measurements.

Funkyemzie · 20/12/2018 22:29

@ScotsBaby2 thank you for that, pretty much spot on then!

I have an 11 year old and had pre-eclampsia with her and i fainted alot too but that was opposite end of the spectrum as my bp was ridiculously high but I have literally forgotten everything else about pregnancy Xmas Grin

Went to the docs yesterday and he said that in a rule of odds, its more likely that I will go on to have 6 successful full term pregnancies in a row now after my 2 MC's this year.

Definately focusing on that point!

@Unicorndust17 are you alright?

stylix1981 · 20/12/2018 22:40

@dragonmummy17 i have had to tell my manager at one place of work as i work in outpatients and we have an assessment unit where there is possible interaction with radioactive patients and i had to tell hr at my other job as i work security at events and i hold a badge that allows me to be put in the firing line lol

Triskaidekaphilia · 20/12/2018 22:59

Welcome @Funkyemzie I really hope this one sticks for you! I had a lot of cramps early on too and mostly been constipated but occasionally diarrhoea too (and I also normally get it right before AF) so it's probably nothing bad :)

Blueberry2018 · 21/12/2018 07:05

@newmumma2019 good luck at your scan tomorrow!

dragonmummy17 · 21/12/2018 07:31

@UnicornDust17 I hope everything was ok at the hospital? I'm fine just a nightmare day yesterday!!
@Funkyemzie welcome. I hope this one is a sticky bean

KMic · 21/12/2018 07:34

Morning all! Last day at work for me for a while!! Roll on 5pm! I haven't told my manager yet, but plan to tell her on my first day back in January - I'll be 8 and a half weeks by then and I'll need time off for the booking in apt etc so will need her to know. So far only my parents know. We will probs tell Hubbys mum at Christmas. He has a little girl - 10 - who is desperate for us to have one. we won't be telling her until after the first scan though!

Woke up to a bit of nausea, but no light headedness - yet! Have good days everyone! Xx

UnicornDust17 · 21/12/2018 07:40

@Funkyemzie welcome and congratulations!! Thank you for asking.

@dragonmummy17 The reoccurring miscarriage clinic had the results of my blood tests back so I'm now on a shed load of medication to try and prevent a MC this time around. Confused

No guarantee it will work either.... But the progesterone seems to have stopped the bleeding which is a good thing...

@Ninunina are you on any other medication?

I have another scan next week, booking in appointment and they are booking me another scan at 9 weeks if next weeks one is all OK.

UnicornDust17 · 21/12/2018 07:44

@newmumma2019 good luck with your scan today x

Twitwooo · 21/12/2018 08:00

Hello ladies , joining ....

Currently 4+1 edd 29 aug, dc#2.

Not looking forward to traveling nearly all day this weekend to see dhs family for Xmas ! Xmas Confused

Hope you're all well

Funkyemzie · 21/12/2018 08:27

Aww thanks everyone for the welcome. Today I am still pregnant!

I really really hope the meds work for you @UnicornDust17, so glad the bleeding has stopped now!

@Triskaidekaphilia thank you for those words, that's reassuring!

Good luck for the scan today @newmumma2019!

Last day at work today for 11 days so I'm going to enjoy Christmas and relax!

clairelee17 · 21/12/2018 09:42

@newmumma2019 I could have written what you wrote last night! I had to check that it wasn't me who wrote it! I also have a big Irish family and they'll be wondering why I'm not drinking over Christmas. Plus I also had a mc in September, and I had an early scan booked for this morning. I cancelled it as my hubby couldn't go in the end so will have to reschedule. I'll be 8 weeks on Christmas Day and really want to tell our parents this weekend, but don't want to put them through that again if I had another mc. But I'll need their support if I do. It's a tough one. Really wishing you the best for your scan :)

Ninunina · 21/12/2018 11:52

@UnicornDust17 I'm also on this thyroid medication. I want to quiz the consultant when I see him next week to see exactly why he prescribed it, because my thyroid hasn't been tested, but when I read the pack it says it can be used to prevent neural tube defects, so I guess that is why he prescribed it. Other than that, I am taking the progesterone, folic acid & vit D.

luceeee · 21/12/2018 12:52

@dragonmummy17 Feeling the same thing with work. I plan to tell them when I've passed the 12 week mark and all my tests are good.

dragonmummy17 · 21/12/2018 13:07

@UnicornDust17 glad they are taking care of you... fingers crossed for the medicines working.

avacadooo · 21/12/2018 14:29

I spoke way to soon about the cyclizine working, spent all day yesterday curled in a ball and all night throwing up, it was so bad I slept by the toilet and now I'm exhausted.
I can't deal with this 😫

Blueberry2018 · 21/12/2018 16:50

@avacadooo sorry to hear your dealing with so much sickness atm. I have been sick 3 times but its mostly all day nausea atm and no appetite!

Triskaidekaphilia · 21/12/2018 18:33

@UnicornDust17 glad the bleedings stopped, fingers crossed the medication works and all goes well for you.

Welcome @Twitwooo!

@avacadooo I've heard it takes a while for cyclizine to build up in your system? So hang in there, sorry you're struggling. I'm going to ask GP if she'll prescribe some on Monday because today I've been really bad again, can't eat through it, can't move, the minute I get up I have to run to the toilet.

Twitwooo · 21/12/2018 19:11

@Triskaidekaphilia thanks!

@avacadooo yes I was on that stuff for about two and a half weeks before I was brave enough to eat without it with my dd. I seem to remember it did take between a day or two for it to come into effect. More like a slow feeling of being able to actually process food rather than a magical moment type thing
