Great news @wombatron !

@Michelle0507 I've got on off tummy pain and back ache. Hope it eases off soon

Am 9+4 today and feeling so so knackered. Almost constant background nausea, dry month and dehydrated feeling like a hangover but the nausea stops me wanting to drink much.

Very grateful to be feeling this way - I'm pretty anxious most days 😕 three years of TTC and three rounds of IVF has left me pretty anxious!

Got my booking in letter and scan appointments through for mid January. It's a bit of a wait so I might get another private scan for reassurance.

Hope you've got your feet up ladies and feeling festive Xmas Smile

Michelle0507 · 23/12/2018 19:11

It feels quite gassy atm I had a takeaway pizza for tea and it seemed to make it worse. I was hungry and didn't want to cook but it probably wasn't the best option. Did anything ease it @blueeyedviking?

blueeyedviking · 23/12/2018 20:19

Thanks @wombatron Smile

@Michelle0507 I still have it on and off, but I found that laying down was helpful. I know any pain is scary but it's very common. Hope you manage to get some sleep tonight.

RoseBud2016 · 23/12/2018 20:21

Hi all,

Is there room for one more?
I’ve been lurking for about 5 weeks but have been too anxious to join in case I jinxed it (stupid, I know!)

However today we had a scan which showed one healthy baby with a heart rate of 167bpm and a fully working placenta, measuring 1 day ahead of my lmp at 9 weeks exactly!

So, so relieved and happy!

It took us 2.5 yrs, 3 rounds of IVF, an MC and an MMC before we conceived our 16 month old Daughter, but this is a very happy surprise (we were planning a round of IVF for a sibling in Jan!)

@Regina I hope you’ve managed to have a nice day despite your partner being a total dick. He has some serious apologising to do IMO. Don’t let him get off too lightly!

@Wombatron Huge congratulations! I had exactly the same fears as you today. X

@Blue Fab news! X

ReginaPhalange89 · 23/12/2018 20:30

Those are so cute @twinkleday!

Welcome @RoseBud2016! That's great news , what a happy surprise ! And thank you , we still managed to have a good day ! We made up after he sobered up and apologised. Turned out he was actually telling the truth and just extremely drunk, ended up back at one of the guys from works place. Still wasn't happy about the lack of communication and leaving me to worry All night !

We still went along to my parents and announced our news to them and my brothers :) they're all happy but think we're bonkers for #3 haha.

wombatron · 23/12/2018 20:34

@ReginaPhalange89 glad he's sorted himself out and it all went to plan!

Welcome @RoseBud2016 - nice to have another due towards the end of the July month!

Trying2bemum · 23/12/2018 20:49

Congratulations @RoseBud2016 Smile

We tried for three years and went through three cycles of IVF to conceive this one - our first - so I can totally sympathise. It's a brutal process and extremely stressful.

It's lovely to hear you've conceived naturally this time - this gives me hope!

TwinkleDay · 23/12/2018 20:50

@ReginaPhalange89 so happy he has apologised, he definitely has won dick of the year award though along with #offyoufuckclaire 😂 x

ememem84 · 23/12/2018 21:13

Busy day here. I almost told my grandma today. But didn’t. As she’d tell everyone she knows...

The people who need to know know and we’ll tell everyone else after the 12 week scan.

BirthdayKake · 23/12/2018 22:13

Aww Twinkle those are adorable!! (PS my birthday is 28th June and I LOVE it!)

Welcome RoseBud :)

TwinkleDay · 24/12/2018 06:13

@BirthdayKake aww june is a lovely time to have a birthday, mine is the 4th, mums is the 3rd and her dad was 2nd so if baby would like to be 3 and a bit weeks early (providing they are all well and healthy) then that would make a greate tick tack toe.

In other news today I have my rescan at hospital and then to do the grand reveal to my folk.. I haven’t slept much but have eaten 4 rich tea biscuits through the night lol

BirthdayKake · 24/12/2018 08:41

Eek good luck Twinkle! What a perfect time of year to tell people :)

Capybaras · 24/12/2018 09:34

Good luck everyone with scans today!

Capybaras · 24/12/2018 09:35

Having a bit of pain this morning - nothing severe and only in my lower left belly when I change position or when I was lifting my arms to wash my hair in the shower. Is this round ligament pain? Had a good scan the other day and it's not cramping and no signs of blood. Hoping someone can reassure me a little!

Capybaras · 24/12/2018 09:35

To clarify it's a bit of a pulling pain if that makes sense?

TwinkleDay · 24/12/2018 09:43

@Capybaras hello yes I get this too I don’t think we are supposed to stretch or twist anymore so I have had random twinges too when I maybe move in a weird way

Capybaras · 24/12/2018 09:47

Thanks for reassuring me @TwinkleDay I've googled and it seems like it is. It's just that 'oh shit thought' with every twinge. Who knew pregnancy would be so anxiety inducing!
Doesn't help that it's the busiest time of year and I just want to be hibernating on the sofa rather than traipsing round all the family and friends! Can't wait for the 27th when that can begin!

BirthdayKake · 24/12/2018 09:50

Capy I had this quite strong the other night and it did make me a bit anxious, but my bump seemed to have popped out the next day so I'm hoping it was just a sign of things growing nicely!

Anyone else have a scan on or around January 2nd?

Michelle0507 · 24/12/2018 10:02

Excuse my French but I'm fkin shitting myself for today's scan! Been awake since around 5am feel so sick with worry.

TwinkleDay · 24/12/2018 10:41

@Michelle0507 bless you what time is your scan mine is 15.10

Michelle0507 · 24/12/2018 10:59

It's 1pm.

I'm about to loose my shit with the other half Weds he was meant to change the cat liter he still hasn't it smells in the kitchen so I don't want to feed the cats. I asked him to and he's still in bed he takes the pee with stuff like this. But if a friend asks him to do something he's straight there. Argh!

Capybaras · 24/12/2018 11:01

Oh that's interesting to know @BirthdayKake will be cool if I pop Christmas Day!
My official nhs scan is the 4th jan! Will this be your first scan?

Good luck for your scans @TwinkleDay @Michelle0507 got everything crossed for you both!

Squ1ggle · 24/12/2018 11:14

Another one with a scan today here. Exactly 12 weeks today according to lmp. My private scan at 9.5 put me back 1 day so we'll see if that's still the case. Also shit scared something has gone wrong in the meantime so didn't sleep a wink last night. Roll on 2pm when I'll know for sure.

Hope all scans go well today

Also went to get weighed at slimming world this morning (lost 7st before conceiving but haven't been to get weighed in quite a while) and I've put on 6.5lbs I keep swinging between 'Oh I thought it might have been worse' and 'Oh crap that's a lot to have put on'

RoseBud2016 · 24/12/2018 11:23

Thanks for the welcome all Smile

@Capybaras Definitely normal to get lots of pulling sensations and sharp little pains when you move suddenly. I had it with my Daughter and I’m having it with this pregnancy too. It’s a shock when it first happens, but its definitely just a sign of ligaments loosening up and stretching. Bump is growing Smile

Good luck to all those with scans today. So nerve wracking, I know.

My 12 week scan is on 17th Jan when I think I’ll be 12+3 or +4 x

RoseBud2016 · 24/12/2018 11:27

@Trying2bemum I remember the hell of IVF well. It will stay with me forever so can totally relate to how you feel.
My clinic joked that a lot of women plan to come back for a sibling but then fall pregnant naturally. I was like, fat chance of that happening when DH and I are both diagnosed as infertile. And what would you know... it only went and bloody happened. Still can’t quite believe it! I’m still breastfeeding too!
Crazy! X
