Hope no-one else has started a new thread, I couldn't find it if so.

Just wanted to send hugs of support to Holly. I hope it all goes well.

Will check in tomorrow if I can to update.

Good luck!

Young, first timers, pop out a 13 lb baby, put their heels on and go partying on vodka. Really? Is that what happens?

Am watching gillian mckeith ch 4 now. its not helping me!

bumperlicious · 26/06/2007 20:16

Haven't had time to catch up, and just off for a kip but just wanted to regale you with my day. We went to bf support group (great btw, possible overactive let down causing wind, almost latching on first time now - brilliant!) and I went with DD on my own so DH could wait in for the chair delivery. Was so panicky about 1st trip alone, let alone 1st drive for me. Found the community centre and went to park and I reversed into a fucking wall! First time out! No damage, DD barely flinched but I was horrified and cried ! So panicked, it was awful! All's well now though, but very achy from over active day!

bumperlicious · 26/06/2007 20:18

Foxy, re: hot cups of tea, I've bought a thermal camping mug! Brill for feeding, stays warm and has a lid in case you spill!

foxybrown · 26/06/2007 20:20

Top tip! And I have one! Genius!

Sorry to hear about your bump, Bumper. I would have cried too. Don't worry, its these things which get it all out

daisyboo · 26/06/2007 20:25

Give that girl a coconut....I never thought about those Bumper, and we have loads as dh keeps buying them from motorway service stations!!

glad to hear you sounding a bit chirpier, but sorry about your bump......still finding a use for the name I see

life gets so much easier when the feeding is going well. good that its getting better!

justbeme · 26/06/2007 20:27

Fantastic idea about the cup!!
"MIL" has just left - she asked me when I'm due tonight...............

daisyboo · 26/06/2007 20:28

LOL JBM......I'll put a fiver on 10:23

foxybrown · 26/06/2007 20:30

I've had one for about a year and have never used it. Am dead chuffed with that idea!

Probably more than is normal actually.

Anyway, I am predicting the imminent birth of my baby given I have had no labour pains today, and therefore it must be the calm before the storm.

Now I have said that outloud, it will probably be another two weeks.

Or is that a double-bluff?

Where am I going with this I wonder? am bored, bored, bored!

daisyboo · 26/06/2007 20:31

i'm very confused now Foxy

justbeme · 26/06/2007 20:36

MIL honestly didnt know what DATE I was due (she's taken no interest in this pregnancy at all)
So I said to her this Friday, and she said "oh". so when she left, I expected her to say - "Oh you might have it next time I see you" - but no........all I got was "bye then".

I told her how I had seen her other son in town - (we dont really speak) - I asked if he knew I was pregnant and she said she didnt know he's never mentioned it??!!

Familys eh?

foxybrown · 26/06/2007 20:36

its quite straighforward - if I say it outloud the opposite happens. see?

Nope, am just as confused. And still bored.

justbeme · 26/06/2007 20:40

Foxy - say "Im bored and fed up with all this" and then you'll be happy !!

daisyboo · 26/06/2007 20:42

even worse JBM....other peoples families.

My PILs came over today.....no reason other than so that MIL could cuddle babyboo. they were here for 10 mins, didn't take their coats off and refused a cup of tea . I think maybe dh asked them to drop by to make sure i was ok....

justbeme · 26/06/2007 20:46

Ohh I dont know, could be worse Daisy - they could have made themselves at home - outstayed their welcome and made you do all the running around - I wish my "MIL" only came round for 10 mins - I've just had to endure 2 and half hours of her and its painful!!

foxybrown · 26/06/2007 20:46

I'm not particularly fed up with pg, just bored generally.

This is the last time I'm going to do this, and its all going to change quite soon, isn't it?

I think I'm a bit scared!

How are you doing JBM? Families are weird. Do you think we'll be odd to our children and their partners?

That's a bit odd, not taking their coats off?

BIRTH ANNOUNCEMENT ***

Hello everyone

I know that I haven't been on in a while, but I have been lurking.

Anyway, back to the important stuff.

Connor Peter was born on Saturday morning at 07:42 weighing 9lbs 7ozs.

We are both doing well - I am just knackered after a 24 hour labour.

justbeme · 26/06/2007 20:51

I cant believe your scared Foxy - I thought you'd be a dab hand at all this and yours are so young, it must all be fresh in your mind - whereas my life is so easy and 12 yrs have passed - I AM getting scared - about the birth and how I'll cope. This is my DP 1st baby - He'll be 47 this year and I really think that he's not going to know whats hit him!!

justbeme · 26/06/2007 20:52

Congratulations Mucho!!! What a good weight!
Glad your ok.

foxybrown · 26/06/2007 20:56

Mucho congratulations Muchostinky! Great news, looking forward to all the details!

JBM, I guess you just don't know what you are going to get, do you? I've been so lucky so far, what if this one is a total nightmare?? What if there is something wrong with her which hasn't been picked up (am fretting about why there was such a large nuchal fold at 11 weeks)? What if I can't cope with 4?

I'm getting myself in a right old state. Please, JBM, slap me!

foxybrown · 26/06/2007 20:57

Anyway - moving on...
DKMA - where are you today? Not a peep out of you, are you birthing?

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 26/06/2007 20:59

Hi all

Congrats Muchostinky! and welcome Connor!!!

Guess what.................... Still no sign of me having this baby
Like you Foxy - I am so bored now

On the in-law front - when mine was asked if when the baby arrives - if she could visit when we are at home and not in the hospital (hoping not to be in there very long etc, plus MIL has very bad parkinsons disease, FIL has had a stroke) - she burst into tears and said she wants to see the baby within 24hrs of birth .

I suppose it's nice she gives a shit - but it's not the sort of thing we can promise cos we have no idea what the birth will be like or if the baby will be ok? I got in a strop about it cos it feels like she's making demands - she only cares about seeing the baby when it's newborn - not about seeing him when he / we are ready and ok? Why 24hrs - would it really matter if it's 48? I dunno much about babies but 1 day surely wont make a difference? Am I just being hormonal?

justbeme · 26/06/2007 20:59

Ohhh sorry was that too hard???

I do know what you mean though Foxy - Im nearly 39 and I ve had quite a few scans, they would've picked up Downs wouldnt they??

Oh god give me a slap if you like....................

daisyboo · 26/06/2007 21:01

Congratulations muchostinky, and welcome to Connor. He was a good weight. Hope you came off relatively unscathed!!

Do we get the gory details????

I'll update the stats since Holly isn't about!

justbeme · 26/06/2007 21:01

F!!!!
My God I've just had the most painful kicks again - I have to stand up sharpish to stop them. Im going to have to mention it to the MW tomorrow, Im sure its that Fibroid its hitting - never had this with my DD. Im surprised my waters dont break!

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 26/06/2007 21:02

Sorry I've not been about much today - I've been lurking on and off in between slipping into bordom induced coma states.
