Anyone else up? Lost my plug at 2am and have been having pain/contractions since then, every 5-6 minutes 😬😬

No signs for me yet... just a lot of rolling around from this little man think he's too comfortable
And a few twinges & cramps but nothing regular xxx

We have another! Just hopping on quickly to say that baby arrived yesterday morning via elective section, weighing 8 and a half pounds (and here we all were thinking he would be small!). We are doing ok, he's very congested so on antibiotics but chest x rays ruled out anything too serious.

@Athers666 I am willing your baby to come out now!

@kaytees! Congratulations! So happy for you and I hope baby's congestion clears up asap. Hope you're ok also!
I'm still erm leaking a bit but seeing midwife today.

1 week exactly til my due date. Though I have read somewhere that apparently Tuesday is the most common day to give birth on and at an exact gestation of 39+4 so I am heading to the bookies to put money on me having this baby Xmas day.
Please someone tell me I’m crazy and that I’m looking far too deeply into this 😂

Am bleeding so I rang the day unit and they want me to come in. Wish me luck I'm terrified! Dh has left work and on his way.

My waters broke at 7:30 this morning! Have been checked over by midwives and am now home waiting for contractions to start otherwise going in to be induced tomorrow evening. I'm 39w2d so he will hopefully be a little early Christmas present!

Home now. They think the blood was just things getting going. Am 1cm so been sent home. Having painful contractions after the internal examination! I declined the sweep.

@Athers666 that’s good news. Let’s hope this is the start for you then. Are you timing your contractions. Why did you refuse the sweep? X

Oh when they were checking the cervix she said shall I do a sweep? And I sort of panicked and said no! Baby is ok and cervix is softening so I'll let nature do the work for now.

Oh I see. I’m just curious because I’ve heard some people say they’d rather it happen naturally and sweeps can sometimes come with risks. So I’m trying to make a decision about whether I would have one if offered it. X

Hey everyone!
I've been MIA for a few threads. Getting on with life and generally being a pregnant beast.
Today is my due date and no signs whatsoever. I had a sweep yesterday (very uncomfortable) but she told me cervix is high, hard and posterior. Not even 1cm dilated and babies head only 1/5 engaged. Looks like I'll be waiting a while yet!

Good to see some happy healthy babies coming thick and fast! X

Oohhh @Athers666 bleeding is scary but it sounds like things are definitely happening for you, I'm looking forward to updates!

I'm on day 2 of section recovery and it's painful but ok so far... hoping I'll be through the worst of it within a week!

So it turned out to be the real thing, took me by surprise! 18 hours later and somehow miraculously getting my water birth and little Ava Jean has arrived weighing 6lbs 12.

Thank you to everyone in this group, you have kept me sane for the last 9 months.

Good luck with all the Christmas babies, I'll keep watching out for new arrivals 💛❤️💙💕

Congratulations @athers666 and @roomarmoset! Loving all the babies arriving.

All good here, Elliot is 2 weeks old today and I’m absolutely head over heels in love with him, even if he’s a grizzly so and so sometimes! His older brother is warming up to him too which I’m very happy about!

Thought I’d just mention in case anyone hasn’t joined the Facebook group and wants to, just sent me a pm and I can add you.

Hope all the preggos are doing well, not long now!

Not having a good day today. Very sleep deprived as Matilda is having a growth spurt so cluster feeding all night, not wanting to sleep anywhere but on me.

Had a meltdown on DH earlier, had taken Matilda out for a walk as she was so unsettled and usually she goes straight off in the fresh air. Today it took 45 minutes, we got home and I left her in her pram while I attempted to eat and the minute the food touched the plate she cried. Tried giving her boob and she just wouldn't latch so we were both sobbing. In the end she took some formula but not before I was inconsolable about not being good enough.

In the end I handed her over to DH, fell apart and sobbed for half an hour and then he cuddled me back together (all the while she was all calm and lovely for her daddy!) He made me eat, put me in the shower and now I am about to have a nap once I'm dry.

@December2018 how’s the sweep go? Is anything happening?
@0lgaDaPolga oh my goodness he is absolutely gorgeous. Look at that perfect face. He looks so alert.
@emwithme I’m so sorry to hear that hun. How awful for you. That’s the thing about breastfeeding. I think it’s so normal to have off days like that and then to feel like a failure because of it. But your doing so well and it’s lovely that your DH is supportive like that. Big hugs to you x x
