@Roomarmoset
Yikes I've only just seen this. Thought I'd come in and check myself. Just incase.
That first year went super quick. I'd love to know how all the original people are doing on this thread.
Please update if you happen to come across this one day.

I'm not sure if anyone still checks this but I thought I would say hi and see if anyone is still around. How is everyone doing with their 1 year olds?! How quick did that year go 😱 xx

@raysan1 Hi Hun. Nice to hear from you. I can't believe Amber is assisted walking. That's crazy.
I still haven't had any time away from Brady except to do a couple of clients nails. I dont feel quite ready to leave him yet but then he is only 4 and a half months. Abit behind most of the other babies.
Brady still isn't in A very good routine. It's driving me nuts but we're off on holiday Tuesday so I suppose there's no point getting him Into a strict routine when it's going to be messed up x

Haha, they DO know... Amber won't look at me for a while after I've left her!
She's barely in 3-6 month clothes, at 5 months old. Maybe her compact frame is easier to balance?

Hope the lie in was amazing? Or did the internal clock go off and get you up anyway? X

@raysan1 hellooooo there stranger 😘 glad to hear from you, I can't believe amber is sitting and assisted walking... Oliver is lazy 😂 I bet she's big now!
Ahhh a spa day sounds amazing!! My mums got Oliver tonight so I can have a night off and a lie in tomorrow, I always pay for it though... he will be a little monkey tomorrow he likes to make me feel guilty haha! It's like he knows 😜

@December2019 it's awful isn't it. Sometimes Brady goes quiet in the living room whilst I'm in another room doing something and I have to rush in to check him. He's a really noisy boy, always gurgling, talking, screaming so it worries me when he goes quiet.
@Athers666 Brady had his 3rd lot of jabs today. And he's had abit of a temp since. I've got him dosed up on Calpol.

Brady attended his first birthday party on Monday for his 3 year old friend. Very exciting for me 😁
He is now rolling from belly to back during tummy time. I've got videos. It's the best.
And he can also sit up nicely with a little balance help from mummy (would obviously tumble like humpty Dumpty without me)
I've found that the last week or so he has really started to do more things and seems so grown up x

Wow @December2018 that must have given you a fright!
Casper had his jabs the other day and his temp shot up. It was horrible as it brought back memories of being in hospital recently and how much they were freaking about his temp.

@MagicalCreatures hey there! Yeah it was ok very quiet we just lazed around the house to be honest lol
Oliver is hilarious lately he's started making these VERY loud growling/shouting noises and has started screaming with excitement too 😂... it cracks me up!
And eating his feet... I was very lucky the other day though Oliver was on his mat playing so I went to make a drink, came back in the room and he had his whole sock in his mouth! I had to scoop it out I cried & cried I had to get my OH to come home from work, god knows what would have happened if I hadn't walked back in when I did probably would have choked 😩... that thought makes me sick

@MagicalCreatures Hi! Hope you and little dude are well! We had an ok Bank hol weekend, didn't do much other than a few walks around the local park but was nice. Casper is able to sit up now for a few seconds before falling to the side lol.

@pickettbowtruckles I'm in the same boat with Casper, nothing will comfort him other than breastfeeding when he gets grumpy etc. He refuses a dummy, just spits it out and no toy or Daddy cuddles or whatever will do! It's great to have that bond with him but also exhausting and it means I never get to have a break. I'm shattered but he's worth it of course!

MagicalCreatures · 29/04/2019 20:44

@PickettBowtruckles they put fear Into us about the babys not putting on enough weight don't they?
Gosh it sounds like you're having a tough time. I'm not sure what to suggest about the Comforter.
Brady just loves anything cuddly. He's got lots of cuddly toys which he snuggles up too and wraps his arms around during his (Rare) naps.
Terrible but I've been letting Brady nap on me the last couple of days just so he gets some sleep. Otherwise he's really ratty and worse at night.

And Little Baby Bum is my saviour too. Brady is obsessed. X

@December2018 glad it know it’s not just mine who avoids the napping! 🤦🏻‍♀️

@MagicalCreatures last weigh in she was 12lb 7oz, trying not to weigh her for a month or so now and loose the craziness about knowing her weight! Yep I think Callie is just a day before Brady as she was 16 weeks on Saturday.

4 month sleep regression seems to have hit this week. She was up every 2 hours last night, I feel like I’m going mad! It also doesn’t help that literally nothing comforts her except boob 🤦🏻‍♀️ I had a crap start to breastfeeding and although I’m really pleased we cracked it in the end I am really struggling that she will not accept any other form of comfort. She has no interest in any physical comforter like a dummy, taggy or toy but also won’t settle for cuddles from Daddy, or me unless there’s a boob involved! I just don’t know how to try and get her to find something else to comfort her, we try just cuddles but the crying ramps up and then I feel awful and end up giving in and letting her comfort feed. I have no issue with comfort feeding as a general rule, like after her jabs she was on the boob all day but I’d really like a break sometime! I tried to go out for an evening for the first time last week, I had to be called home by husband as she was going mad and wouldn’t settle, I could hear her screaming as I pulled up at home but 2 minutes on the boob and she was passed out asleep. I think I’ve left it too late for a dummy as I only started trying about 6 weeks and since then she will just screw up her face and cry! Send help... 😩

Same! Can't put him down or he freaks! I had to strap him in the buggy and peg laundry out just now and howled. Straight afterwards I picked him back up again and instant silence!

@MagicalCreatures haha! Yep I have a little devil hair pulling devil child on my hands too 😂
And is a little monkey! Never naps... only time he's a very good boy is when he's in his pram x

Little baby bum is my lifesaver at the moment 😂 I can put it on and guarantee I can make a brew and drink it while it's still warm 😊... result!

@December2018 really? Oh it's sooo hard. I wouldn't change him for the world. I just can't understand why all my friends babies sleep through the night and mine doesn't.
And why is he fighting his naps. He used to love his naps. Now his eggy all the time with a bad temper. Just like his dad 🙄
And at this moment he is pulling my hair like he knows I'm talking out him 😂
My child has become Satan x

@PickettBowtruckles how much does Callie weigh now. Brady will be 16 weeks on sunday. They're about the same aren't they.
Brady now weighs 13lb 2oz so still between the 25th and 9th centile lines. She was happy with that. As am I.

Yesterday he whinged all day. Will only nap for 20 minutes. Was a nightmare to put down. So far today, he's had a huge 10 minute screaming crying fit before finally passing out. I laid him down and he woke up. So he's now been asleep on me for the last hour as I've been too scared to move him. He needs it.
He still wakes up 2 times a night. We put him to bed around 8ish. Sometimes earlier. Sometimes he goes of nicely. Most of the time I have to go back in the room to sshh him coz he moans.
He then wakes about 4 hours after his last feed then 3 hours after that one. Then stirs from 4.30am every hour til he wakes up at about half 6.
Im exhausted!!!!!! Yet people tell me that's good. I tell them that everyone of my god damn friends babies have been sleeping through the night since they were 8 weeks. They say that's rare.
I say bullshit!!!!! 😂

@december2018 hiya I'm doing ok thanks! Casper slept well last night which is fab as the night before he was up all night and it was killer! He still isn't his usual self though so it's a bit rubbish still. He's improving slowly though I think.
How are you and Ollie?
