@December2018 look at all his hair! He looks mega pleased with himself sitting up like that.

@MagicalCreatures I'm so sorry to hear you're having a rubbish time. I hope you can get some space to think and clear your head soon xx

Hey everyone. Loving the photos! Unfortunately Casper has dropped over a centile in weight so I am having to have regular appointments to key an eye on it as they're freaking out. He's such a titch! Drs tomorrow for another weigh in so we'll see how he's getting on. So worried. In himself though he's doing well and lots of smiles etc and sleeping much better at night. Although he hardly naps all day which is killer. Have to lug him about all day and it just gets so exhausting!

Athers he’s gorgeous, looks so interested in the world! Why are they worrying if he’s dropped a centile? Has he dropped centiles before? There shouldn’t be concerns unless he actually crosses 2 lines eg from above 91st to 50th. Anyway, try not to stress - lots of babies just need to find their line, and he looks like he’s thriving in that pic.

MagicalCreatures I’m sorry your H is being so awful. I think definitely go to your Mum’s and use the space to consider what you want and need from him. And then see if he is willing to give it. I found it really upsetting that he walked out on you in tears.. to go the gym of all places?! But it may just be that he’s having a very hard time adjusting to parenthood? (Not that it excuses his behaviour)

Here is Amber last week. looking all grown up! x

Glad it is not just me with OH not being here, making more work for me and then telling me how to look after the baby!!! He will look after her if I beg, though, and he is good with her, so … small mercies?

Wanted to share this - if you have Asda dummies, please read www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3027370/Asda-forced-recall-dummies-choking-risk-newborns-second-time-two-years.html

Hang on, i take that back... i am NOT glad that others have dickhead difficult partners too. It's such a difficult time and they are totally disrespectful of our workload and needs Sad

Roomarmoset · 20/02/2019 19:49

Has anyone taken their little ones for their 8 week jabs yet? Took Ava this morning and she has been fine up until about half 4, since then she's been screaming like she's being murdered and wouldn't take a bottle.

I've just managed to get her to take a bottle but she's still very unsettled and every time she wakes she screams 😢

She's had calpol and doesn't have a fever. Feel so helpless 😫

December2018 · 20/02/2019 19:56

@Roomarmoset ohhh nooo! That sounds awful!

Oliver has his tomorrow at 11:20 I'm dreading it 😢

Roomarmoset · 20/02/2019 20:01

@December2018 I'm sure he'll be fine I think we're just unlucky! She's taken a bottle now and has settled in my arms. Think the calpol has knocked her out!

December2018 · 20/02/2019 20:46

@Roomarmoset I think what frightens me most is just seeing him in pain
I'll end up just hiding in the corner of the room crying 😂... I'm taking my mum to hold my hand tho

Aww I'm glad she's settled now, horrible seeing them so unsettled isn't it

Roomarmoset · 20/02/2019 20:48

@December2018 my mum came with me but she cried so I had to keep it together 😂 good luck tomorrow, I'm sure you'll be fine but I'm here if you need moral support!

Athers666 · 20/02/2019 21:23

Where do they inject them...is it arm or leg? Poor little dudes. Casper's are coming up soon. He is gaining weight but has dropped almost 2 lines so we have been referred to paediatrics at the hospital. Gutted! But she also said she wasn't hugely worried and he's likely just a petite chap...he's smiling and holding his head up etc so seems developmentally fine. Never had this with DD she was a podge at this age!

Roomarmoset · 20/02/2019 21:38

@Athers666 the nurse did one in the right thigh and the doctor did two in the left thigh - all at the same time 😱 it was all very quick, I thought Ava was wuiet but it turned out she was just taking a huge intake of breathe and let out an almighty scream! After a quick cuddle she was fine and smiling again.

She's just gone down in her Moses basket, she's a very sleepy little sausage.

I'm sure they're just taking precautions with Casper, they said Ava wasn't purring enough weight on but she seems to feed all the time!

Athers666 · 20/02/2019 21:43

Oh bless her doing a big gasp before her scream!

December2018 · 20/02/2019 23:19

@Roomarmoset ohhh the poor little doll!
At least it was over quick for her... and it's done now
I don't think I'm going to sleep a wink tonight, I'm a worrier anyway but this is on another level... I mean needles are big for us grown ups so can you imagine what it's like for a baby... they must feel massive (shudders)...

But at the same time... I'd rather Oliver have these injections and be in pain for a little time rather than get nasty diseases

I think I'll feel the pain more than him to be honest 😂

December2018 · 20/02/2019 23:26

@Athers666 at least Casper is gaining weight tho, every baby is different arnt they and he sounds like he's thriving, yeah he's just probably a smaller build and that's just the way he's meant to be... either way he's bloody gorgeous!
And as long as he's hitting all of his developmental milestones his weight is just a number on a Piece of paper

Athers666 · 21/02/2019 05:37

Oliver good luck with your jabs today poppet!
I'm up at 5am due to Casper waking us all up doing a very loud noisy poo!🤣🤣

December2018 · 21/02/2019 06:47

@Athers666 Ive been awake early too, Oliver has got a cold and a little cough... to my delight I've woke up with the same
I feel like I've been hit by a train... god knows how this little fella feels

Roomarmoset · 21/02/2019 17:02

@December2018 how did Oliver get on?

December2018 · 21/02/2019 17:10

@Roomarmoset wellll...
I rang the doctors this morning and told them he is quite poorly and to see if he was still ok to have it done, she said that I should cancel it and re book it for when he's better.. he is really bad tho bless him

MagicalCreatures · 21/02/2019 22:18

Thanks for the kind and supportive words girls.
I actually came clean with him at the weekend about how I felt. I told him I’d rather do this alone then be with him if he continues this way (he was bad at the weekend again) I think it shocked him. And at first he didn’t really talk to me and was in denial over his behaviour. But I think a few people have told him he was in the wrong and he’s been grovelling abit since. It’s awful that it took that, but I think some men just never really grow up or understand.

Brady’s weight gain has slowed abit too. He’s dropped from the 25th centile line to slightly above the 9th line so we’ve got another check up in a month just to keep an eye on it.
He’s been feeding and snacking every 2 hours through the night on 1 ounces at a time and I think that has something to do with it. At the moment I can’t get him to take any more then 3 ounces through the day. It’s really hard work. Not sure if it has something to do with the Nutramigen formula that he’s on or what.

I hope all these gorgeous little babies are recovering after their jabs.
Brady has his on the 6th March. Really not looking forward to it.

@raysan1 Amber is so beautiful. What a sweet little face she has. X

Thanks @magicalcreatures... she takes after me obvs! Grin. Brady has the sweetest face, what a treasure xxx
With all that night feeding, you must all be exhausted! We had that for 2 nights and i was like a different person.

Well done on having the talk. I had it early on and apparently 'this is what you wanted'. Can't wait till amber in her own room so i don't have to listen to whinging when hubby wakes at night. I never went as far as telling him I'd rather do it without him (only some days and especially when he says something mean) but i did ask him to stay at his mam's for a couple of nights to make it easier for me and reduce my stress

To everyone still to have 8 week injections, try (ha!) to get plenty of sleep before and don't do it when you have big plans, just in case.

Roomarmoset · 22/02/2019 10:56

@December2018 how is Oliver today?

@MagicalCreatures Ava went through the two hour feeds, I think she's a couple of weeks ahead of Brady so I can say it does get better. She gave us 5 hours to start with last night 👍🏻
I'm glad you've spoken to your husband, sometimes they just need a reality check.

I somehow managed to put my phone in the washing machine this morning 😫 I couldn't find it and realised the last place I had it was on top of the washing basket when I brought it downstairs! Unfortunately I'd already started the cycle and it's now currently in a bowl of rice in the kitchen 🤞🏻

Starting to get anxious about leaving Ava tomorrow, it's going to be so weird waking up and her not being there 😫

December2018 · 22/02/2019 11:29

@Roomarmoset he's ok I put a tissue with a few drops of olbas oil on it in his crib with him last night and it's taken the sniffles away, he's still got a cough tho but it's not as bad as yesterday, his little temperature has gone but I gave him some calpol this morning

My mum had Oliver last Saturday night while we had a "night off" a local band was playing so we went to watch them, I couldn't settle at all, I even cried when I got home 😂 my mum only lives directly behind me (I can literally see her bedroom from my bedroom) but it was sooooo hard!

My OH is taking Oliver to see his brother tomorrow on a family day (he's in the army) and I'm dreading him going lol I know I'll cry

December2018 · 22/02/2019 11:33

@MagicalCreatures I'm so glad you have told him how you feel! They just don't realise sometimes how much their stupid words & actions can affect us, specially when we're still dealing with hormones, and I'm really struggling with self confidence at the min, I feel really frumpy and misshapen and my OH is going the gym all the time looking & feeling great about himself... I think I get a bit jealous if I'm honest
