That’s great news MagicalCreatures. Cluster feeding is VERY normal. My little guy is 6 weeks now and nearly 12lb but he still cluster feeds between 7 and 10pm and around 5 and 7am. And his feeds are completely irregular all day long! I don’t really expect much regularity at all until 12 weeks, they are newborns til then really.

December2018 · 26/01/2019 19:26

@MagicalCreatures I have to say your sounding like your finding your groove 😘
How have things been today? How you feeling?

I'm struggling with the colic really bad today
Oliver is now on dr browns bottles because Tommie tippee ones he just spits out!
I've been giving him gripe water & dentinox which is doing sod all lol
Although he is farting like a trooper so at least he's getting some wind up I suppose

Alright ladies I wanna see these gorgeous babies I'm getting withdrawals lol
I'll go first....

Adorable photos 😊 Ava is having grouchy phases, we've just started her on dentinox so we'll see how that goes. She did her first proper smile today 😁💕 melted my heart x

@December2018 Oh my look at all that hair 😍💙

December2018 · 26/01/2019 20:09

@Athers666 omg look at him!!! 😍😍
He's wide awake there isn't he at 3am... the witching hour in this house is 4am 😂
He's beautiful hun! I just want to cuddle him!

December2018 · 26/01/2019 20:12

@Roomarmoset Ava is gorgeous... I'm only getting windy smiles off Ollie so far I can't wait until he gives me a real cheeky one

Dentinox took the edge off for Oliver so it helped a little bit... and it made his breath smell like coconuts 😂 I was sniffing him for ages

Ava is just so squishy and beautiful! 😍😍
It's amazing that a couple of weeks ago we where all talking about labour and heartburn and lack of sleep! It only seems like yesterday I was propping myself up to sleep and peeing my pants 😂

Athers666 · 26/01/2019 21:09

Aw, what a great smile from Ava! Hope Cas starts to do that soon!

MagicalCreatures · 26/01/2019 21:21

@mrsmaggiemistletoe Im pleased to hear it is normal. But I’d much rather there be a routine. Saying that we can usually predict down to 20 minutes when he will scream for his next feed.
@December2018 Thankyou. Things have been ok today. Usual really. He woke at 12am 3am and 6am for feeds. Then 8am for another bit then screamed most the morning again. So we went out for a walk. This kid is crafty though. Whenever we have visitors, he just sleeps. As soon as they leave, he screams again. He knows I tell ya!!!! He bloody knows!!!!! 😂
You sound exactly like me. We’re on the dentinox. He farts like a trooper but barely burps. Struggling with the colic and my cousin today was telling us about the dr browns bottles they have coz the tommie tippee were rubbish. They love them and said they’ve worked a treat.

These babies are just gorgeous by the way. You can tell they all have their own little personalities already.

@MagicalCreatures look at him!!!! 😍😍😍 he's just gorgeous he's so cheeky

Yay to farty babies!

Oliver has been constipated last night, he didn't sleep allllll night he drifted off at about 6 this morning and slept for an hour, so I currently have a very grumbly over tired little human on my hands today lol
Gonna try calpol today and see if that eases his suffering.... doctors tomorrow I think!

December2018 · 27/01/2019 10:35

Ohhh yess and I totally agree with them being crafty when visitors turn up... I've invited my sister over for a brew today... I just want a bit of peace if I'm honest... how bad is that 😱
He will be good as gold when they turn up 😂

Athers666 · 29/01/2019 08:26

How is everyone? We are doing ok but he still sleeps badly, although I've given up getting upset and just trying to accept it for now which has helped loads!

December2018 · 29/01/2019 08:51

@Athers666 hey there!
Oliver isn't sleeping very well either, very colicky and constipated, he gets himself so worked up he's inconsolable and just cries, even tho I know he's hungry (sucking his hands) won't take his bottle
Gripe water & dentinox isn't working either, I'm exhausted lol

Athers666 · 29/01/2019 10:11

Oh bless Oliver! I hope he feels better soon. So frustrating when they get worked up and you can't make it better for them isn't it?!
It's so weird now reading back the thread about all our pregnancy worries, and now we have a whole new set of things to panic about! Man, I keep fantatsising about curling up with DH and sleeping for 8 hours solid. Argh, I wish!

December2018 · 29/01/2019 12:15

It's just awful when you can't soothe them, I thought he was in pain last night and something was really wrong, but he's fine thank god! Just throwing a wobbler!
Ohh yeah! Sleep would be amazing lol
I was saying to my OH yesterday i sort of miss our life before just chilling watching Netflix eating Doritos lol
But when Oliver throws me one of his cheeky smiles I wouldn't swap my life now for the world lol
He's sleeping now so I'm shoving a yoghurt in my face and trying to fold washing at the same time 😂

December2018 · 29/01/2019 12:17

How's Casper? Still wide awake at 3am... there funny these little humans arnt they 😂😍
And how are you in yourself? You ok?

Athers666 · 29/01/2019 17:21

@December2018 Casper and I are good thanks! He's still sleeping like poo but I'm somehow surviving lol. He's started to smile now which is amazing x

MagicalCreatures · 29/01/2019 18:17

@Athers666 @December2018 oh I ant wait for Brady’s first proper smile. He does loads but they must just be wind. How did you know when Oliver and Casper smiled properly for the first time. Is it different to a windy one?
We registered him today. Went into town, managed a nice lunch in a diner and a trip to primark. Got myself 3 new tops. All with Brady in tow. WIN!!!!
I bought a cheap baby carrier from Argos too to put him in in the morning whilst I’m doing some chores. That’s his worst time for screaming. This morning he screamed for 3 hours between his 6am feed and 9am feed. Couldn’t put him down. Just tried him in it though and he cried. FML!!!!!
Yesterday I tried to race home from the shop with my sister before he was due his next feed. That will teach me!!!!
He screamed so hard that he was bright red in the face and had proper tears. I had to pull over and feed him in the car. My sister couldn’t believe it.
Even the midwife told me this child would be ‘the boss’. That was from meeting him just the once at my discharge appt. she couldn’t have been more right.
Love him though 😍

Aw @MagicalCreatures Brady sounds like such a character! So cute. These babies love bossing us about it would seem.
I'm not sure how I could tell that Casper was smiling and not windy, I was giving him a gentle tummy tickle and he just sort of did it. But, Casper being Casper went back screaming five minutes later of course 😂

AGirlinLondon · 29/01/2019 20:13

I have pulled over a few times to feed too 😂 what else can you do?

We got five hours straight sleep last night, followed by another three hours after a speedy feed. I swear it’s just because he is getting bigger and more able to hold the milk.

Is anyone else absolutely starving hungry all the time?! Honestly I am ashamed of what I eat every day!!

Athers666 · 29/01/2019 20:35

Five hours! Not jealous at all! 😣😣😣

mrsmaggiemistletoe · 29/01/2019 22:13

YES the breastfeeding hunger! I can put away a scary amount of food. DH is off sugar for January so it’s all on me to finish up the Christmas chocs and biccies.

And yes to pulling over to feed, many many many times. I’ve even fed while the car was moving (obvs not with me driving) but that’s not really safe or recommended!

Athers666 · 29/01/2019 22:52

Same! Keep eating crisps and kitkats at 3am! The only way I can stay awake lol. I need to stop the night snacking but I can't.

Oliver loves this, stops him fussing instantly 😂 I'll do anything for a couple of mins to myself haha!

Yesss to the eating! And I'm not even breastfeeding, I'm having curry for breakfast 🤣

Athers666 · 30/01/2019 11:18

Ooh I'm so going to show that to Casper! Hope he likes it. What does Oliver watch it on? X
