Thanks ladies. I cant stop looking at the photos. all makes it more real. AND makes the spewing worth it.

@AIDE2424 well i thought i was 9+1 yesterday and due 6th july but baby measuring ahead of schedule at 9+5 so new estimated due date is 3rd July :)

hayleyfx · 03/12/2018 09:49

Thanks everyone for all the support ❤️ Sadly I’m leaving this thread now. Was bleeding heavily yesterday and passed what I think was the pregnancy sac. Hcg levels went from 2555 to 1100 so it was 100% confirmed miscarriage. I’m doing okay. Time to give my body a break I think - 5 pregnancies in 1 year is probably taking it’s toll. Looking into recurrent miscarriage testing so hopefully next year brings some answers.
Thank you all for the support you’ve given me. I wish you all very healthy and happy pregnancies. All the best for the future xxx

BirthdayKake · 03/12/2018 10:00

What a gorgeous picture onestep. A good couple of weeks until I'm at that stage. Hope it hurries up.

hayley I'm thinking of you. Five losses sounds devastating. I hope you have good news next year xxx

reeny19 · 03/12/2018 10:29

@hayleyfx oh bless you it sounds like you’ve had such a rough year. I wish you all the best.

So yesterday I said I had no symptoms.... well last night I ended up with a migraine and sickness. I’m prone to migraines and got DH to look up whether I could take my usual migraine meds and he forbid them! So had a restless stressful night, worrying that I’d wake up with a migraine and struggle at work today.

This morning I felt so rough when I woke up I called in sick, went back to sleep. Now I feel mildly sick and have a slight headache which, if I overdo it today, will progress into another migraine. I’m scared to eat much incase I throw up again. Help! Is this normal? How do you cope? I’m only 6w + 1. I can’t take sick days like this I have to go to work! Sad

Right now I feel like I shouldn’t book any holidays as I just have no idea how I’m going to feel.

Self-referred online today. But now what? I haven’t actually spoken to any Dr or midwife yet. Will they just contact me now?

blueeyedviking · 03/12/2018 11:43

@Hayley so sorry to hear your news. What a horrible year. Take care of yourself.

@reeny19 Sounds normal to me. Can you work from home at all? Some people on this thread have told their boss etc so that sometimes help.

@onestep - great photo!

I had a weekend with no nausea but so lightheaded and weak. Spent most of it on the sofa. Back at work and the nausea is back in full force..ginger isn't even helping. No idea how to get through today. Noone here knows yet. I work in a very male dominated industry and I'm up for a promotion so it's all a bit weird timing. Especially as we may be moving in March for my husband's job! Confused

SnailorSwift · 03/12/2018 11:47

Sorry I've not been about much over the weekend.

Welcome to the new women who popped in over the weekend!

@hayleyfx I'm so sorry to read your news. Take care of yourself 💕 will be thinking of you.

I got some unwelcome news today that my bloods came back showing I have no immunity to parvovirus unfortunately. So as it's been in my school and I've potentially been exposed I need to have bloods repeated every 3/4 weeks to ensure that I haven't caught the virus. Trying to be level headed about it but it is a worry. Hopefully worrying over nothing!

cathyj87 · 03/12/2018 11:52

@reeny19 I had my first migraine in here last wed :( I used to get them on the pill and haven't had one since they took me off (I get an aura with mine) so had to get my mum to pick me up from work and take me to her house to sleep! This is my first full day back and I've had to turn the full office lights off 'coz I can feel another one brewing :s I rang the MW and she said to take paracetamol but nothing else. My work all knows so are being lovely but if the lights here are kicking them off this could get awkward!

Kentishgal · 03/12/2018 12:12

reeny19 and cathyj87 that's horrible. Last pregnancy I got them from about week 6 to 16 (and then they completely went and didn't even get a headache for remainder of pregnancy) but, without wishing to be pessimistic, they got worse and worse and I was so violently sick with them, I remember saying to my husband I don't think I can carry on. But midwife said nothing other than paracetamol, which wouldn't touch them. She did however recommend reflexology (albeit that was a week 16 and they'd stopped) and said she'd heard a lot if success stories for pregnancy migraines - so I think if I do get them this time round I'm definitely giving reflexology a try or perhaps something like acupuncture. It's just horrible.

cathyj87 · 03/12/2018 12:37

Thanks for the tip @Kentishgal, I'll keep that in mind! The guys need the lights on after lunch so I'll see how I feel, it seems to have shifted for now so fingers crossed

edidxb · 03/12/2018 12:48

So sorry to hear that @hayleyfx - what a year you have had. I hope the rest of the year that is left treats you well.

those migranes sound awful. I get the occasional migrane myself and know how debilitating they can be.

Good luck to everyone with their nausea today. Mine is back today, but only mildly - not enough to stop me doing anything. I am very lucky as I have just had a 4 day weekend due to a National Day here - I am back to work tomorrow :-(

I have contacted BA who are amazing and will refund the whole cost of the flights! Just waiting to hear from the cruise company now - Seabourn. But I won't do anything until I have had the scan on Thursday anyway. If it doesn't go well, I'll be going to the Caribbean. If it does go well, I won't be and that would just be amazing!

Delilah7 · 03/12/2018 13:05

Right ladies tell me your thoughts.
Been off work all week except last Monday - back today. On anti sickness tablets and have the Hyperemesis thing... I have to take each day as it comes. Been sick this morning twice however went in to work. Had a meeting to be told ' we can't work day from day we need a plan so you either be signed off or come in'. ' some people are tougher than others and you are emotional'. Should I just say fuck you and sign off anyways 😂😂I want to work but with them not being as understanding I think it's gonna be difficult.

Hope you're all ok? Xxx

reeny19 · 03/12/2018 13:31

@cathyj87 you’re doing so well to cope at work! Since I’ve experienced migraines since my early 20s I know what my triggers are and can usually avoid them. I also know that paracetamol is a waste of time - the only thing that touches it is ibuprofen-lysine. Which we can’t have!!! My triggers include working too hard, eating too late in the day and having too much sugar too early in the day.
Sugar, yep I can avoid that.
Eating too late in the day and working too hard.... that’s going to be a problem. If I’m feeling sick I won’t be able to eat enough and forcing myself to get up and go to work when I’m feeling low on energy is going to trigger them.
Another trigger is not fully recovering from one one day and waking up with a faint one the next day. More likely if I can’t medicate, why i was so restless last night worrying about it still being there in the morning.
I am sick a lot with migraines too, last night was so confusing I didn’t know if it was migraine sickness or pregnancy sickness. But also knew that being sick and losing fluids would trigger a migraine! Such a vicious cycle. Sad

@delilah7 I googled hyperemesis earlier and my god, it sounds absolutely awful. If I had it (please god don’t let me get it) I know I would be incapacitated. I don’t think it’s a case of just being emotional - I read that some women are sick up to 50 times a day with it. You can’t work if you’re sick that frequently! Sign yourself off if you can, screw it. How early did your sickness start btw? And where do you get these anti-sickness tablets from? I’ve self referred online but have no appointments booked and a bit in the dark about it all really.

reeny19 · 03/12/2018 13:43

@blueeyedviking yeah from what I’ve read I think it’s to be expected as well. Especially when I’m already prone to getting migraines. I’m so screwed, lol.

Well done for being at work, I work at a similarly male-dominated place too and no one knows yet. Although my boss also happens to be my dad, so I think he’ll be more sympathetic (although he usually laughs at me when I’m ill)! It’s going to have to come out soon though, if i keep feeling ill I’ll have to explain that it’s going to be an ongoing thing.

I can’t work from home unfortunately, wish I could. But I might be able to do half days, or start a bit later when I’m feeling strong enough that I know I’m safe from migraines for the day. DH works from home (well jel) but it’s nice as I have someone to look after me when I’m off and he also gets some company too. Looking on the bright side I guess!

Delilah7 · 03/12/2018 13:49

@reeny19 it's awful. Don't get me wrong I'm not 50 times a day. But I have been every hour before and it's awful! So horrendous. It started at the end of 6 weeks. Started with real bad nausea first, my doctor soon enough gave me them! She tested my wee too and could see i was really starving from anti somethings being in my wee. I so wanna work but I just can't plan I'll be ok! It's ridiculous. X

StargazyDrifter · 03/12/2018 14:14

Sorry to read about all the migraines. They are truly horrid, I also get aura ones and have been waiting for them to show up this pregnancy... touch wood nothing so far. Hang in there.

reeny have you tried sunglasses? I sometimes do this instead of turning off the lights/TV. A bit eccentric but can work! 😎

edidxb how lovely of BA! Everything crossed for you on Thursday.

SnailorSwift that's really tough and stressful. Everything crossed for you and, always, you and bean first. 💜

hayleyfx so very sorry about your news. Please do pop back as and when, it's been a pleasure having you here! Do give yourself all the time to heal, and then a bit more. And absolutely don't underestimate the cumulative effect of those sadly lost pregnancies. I'm on my 4th this year and it took my GP to really make me appreciate what a big thing that is - huge hormone ups and downs, physical exhaustion and also the understandable depression/sense of loss. It helped me to wallow for a bit and, during a particularly dark patch in September, I would make a three point list each morning of stuff I'd do just for me, whether I was at work or out or whatever. That helped re-focus a little. A bit later, volunteering and giving something back helped too. Also wine. Big hugs to you. 😊🍷🍫🍰

Feeling a bit better today after a horrid weekend of nausea and tiredness and a few tears of frustration. Got the all clear on my smear test - whoever said they always ring, good or bad, was right. That really put my mind at rest over the weekend. Also all clear on MW blood test. Nearly 9w and daring to think into the second trimester.

reeny19 · 03/12/2018 14:18

@delilah7 oh goodness. If you weren’t taking the meds would it still be every hour?
I get really bad hangovers (haven’t had one for 3 years as I refuse to drink now because of them) but when I did get them, I’d be sick about 50 times a day, usually every time I moved. I imagine hyperemisis to be similar which is why I say screw work you literally cannot function when it’s that bad.

Did you feel any sickness symptoms at 6 weeks or earlier? I’m really, really hoping I don’t get it as I don’t see how I could work. And I want to work.

reeny19 · 03/12/2018 14:23

@stargazydrifter ha I could try sunglasses when using a computer at work! It isn’t usually a trigger for me, but when I am in full blown migraine mode I do have to shut down all the lights so maybe it will make a difference.
I only ever had one ocular migraine that was triggered by lights. I lost half of my vision but there was no pain or sickness. It was weird but so fascinating to experience.

cathyj87 · 03/12/2018 14:37

My mum gets ocular migraine that she actually enjoys! Makes me jealous. I get an aura like a hundred tiny camera flashes going off, it's the only warning I get, I don't know of any specific trigger other than hormones so I'm usually sitting trying to read something and thinking "why can't I read this?!" Before I twig why. I'm going to start bringing my sunglasses in to the office, it's not fair to make everyone else sit in the dark! Having said that it seems to have saved me from one today thankfully!

Delilah7 · 03/12/2018 14:39

@reeny19 no idea tbh.... I get so scared to eat now it's awful! 6 weeks and a few days nausea started!

reeny19 · 03/12/2018 14:45

@cathyj87 I totally get that - I would choose an ocular migraine any day instead of my usual painful, debilitating, vomit inducing ones! Yours do sound hormone related, are yours painful?

@delilah7 oh no that’ll be me in a few days! I read on the nhs website risk factors for sickness and I ticked a few of those boxes, so it’s a real worry for me. Sooo hope I don’t get it. Have you made any decisions re work yet? Maybe decide at the end of this week?

Delilah7 · 03/12/2018 14:47

@reeny19 I want to work but I just don't know if I can. Which sucks ass.

Kentishgal · 03/12/2018 14:51

Yep mine are hormone related too - every month just before my period. They did improve to start with after having my daughter but came back. I think it's pretty normal for them to go after first trimester though. So lets all keep our fingers crossed for sickness / migraine / tiredness free second trimester!!

cathyj87 · 03/12/2018 14:56

@reeny19 yup about 30 minutes after the aura starts it kicks I want to drive a giant nail through my head to relieve it. The only thing I can do is try to sleep it off in a dark room, I usually manage to prop my head up so my thumb is pressed in to my temple. It's usually mostly cleared within a few hours, I just feel a bit delicate and dozy the day after

SnailorSwift · 03/12/2018 15:04

@Delilah7 given work aren't very supportive I'd be inclined to just get signed off for a couple of weeks if possible. They should be supporting you to be there if/when you can but sounds tricky!

Thanks @StargazyDrifter it is really stressful. My manager is supportive and I've been able to change my work routine to reduce risks of being in contact with any kids in the same classes as those we know were infectious. But really could have done without the worry!

Delilah7 · 03/12/2018 15:08

@SnailorSwift it is just unfair. It's not a bug it won't just go! C
