Nice shiny new thread! @ForTheLoveOfDoughnuts I'd go with a full bladder just in case. You can always empty it. For my private cloacal I'll be 7 weeks and they've said I need a full bladder just in case but they'll probably do it trans-vaginally cos I'm a bit chubby round the gut 😂

whyohwhypart2 · 27/11/2018 18:39

Hello everyone

So today I told my manager at work. I have been sick as a dog the last week and slept on and off all day yesterday despite having had a full nights sleep! I was so worried how I'd cope today and actually felt really good getting it off my chest. My manager isn't the best and openly tells everyone she thinks kids are gross but company policy will protect me.

I can't keep warm at all, had to keep my jacket on all day and felt really silly but was constantly shivering

The dreams I'm having are insane! Really crazy dreams, and the nausea is pretty unbearable but what's killing me the most is the tiredness. Wow! I don't remember feeling THIS tired with DC, although it was 8 years ago so bound to be a bit different I guess.

Hope everyone else is keeping well Thanks

ReginaPhalange89 · 27/11/2018 18:42

I wonder what number of thread we'll be on come July 😂

Giraffe888 · 27/11/2018 18:44

Thanks for the reassurance ladies. I’ve had nothing other than that little bit when I wiped this morning. Symptoms still the same.

Fingers crossed my bloods come back ok x

crakpot1 · 27/11/2018 18:51

@DartmoorDoughnut there's an app you can download on your phone and you can access all your pregnancy notes there :)

DartmoorDoughnut · 27/11/2018 18:53

@crakpot1 oh that’s awesome! Already know I won’t get that in deepest darkest Devon as have been asked to pick up a pregnancy pack before booking in appt to start filling it in Grin

crakpot1 · 27/11/2018 19:03

@DartmoorDoughnut haha, it's crazy how different it is in different areas, I've not filled one thing in! X

NoParticularPattern · 27/11/2018 19:04

Just checking in to the new thread thanks Frazzle.

Still nothing to report. Possibly feel a tiny bit sick and boobs maybe more sensitive than normal but clearly I’m looking for symptoms at this point!!!

ReginaPhalange89 · 27/11/2018 19:09

Aw I think they've changed to an app here too, I'll miss not having my notes in my wee folder lol

Jxtina86 · 27/11/2018 19:17

Evening ladies! Hope everyone is okay.

Had my booking in appt today. All good although still confusion on dates and LMP. Going off what the midwife is basing on puts me at 9weeks but I think I'm more like 7-8. But won't know for sure till scan. Did bloods but have to go back again next week for another at supposedly 10 weeks (imagine if I am the dates I think I am, those will have to be done again though?!)

Saw someone else mention notes on the app too? I've got the same which I quite like - makes it easier doesn't it and no need to lug around a pack all the time. Midwife made me laugh as she could tell I was a first timer as my folder was so thin compared to all the others she had on her desk!

smerlin · 27/11/2018 19:22

Mine was full bladder for urine test on arrival then empty for internal scan

Softkitty28 · 27/11/2018 19:25

Thought I would check in as it’s been a while and I can’t keep up! I’m in Northern Ireland and things seem to work a bit differently here, so thought I would share what I’ve been up to in case anyone finds it useful. I am 8 weeks tomorrow and saw my GP last week, The appointment lasted around 30mins and he checked my bmi, blood pressure, family history, dates etc and gave me lots of info about the do’s and donts. I also had my flu jab. He then referred me on to the hospital where I will have my booking in appt and 12 week scan on the same day - they said to allow 3 hours for the appointment! I got my appointment date today and it will be on 28th December when I’m 12+2. We have decided not to have private scan before then as I fear it will end up causing me more worry if dates don’t match etc. Symptoms definitely getting stronger, very nauseous but not being sick thankfully.

So saddened to read some of the news on the previous thread. Saying prayers for everyone xx

SnailorSwift · 27/11/2018 19:30

@Softkitty28 I'm in NI too!

I had an appointment with the community midwife at 6 weeks but basically equivalent to what you had with GP. Will have my booking and scan at the same tome too I assume as that's what happened with DS.

My bloods were supposed to be done at midwife appointment they were requested but I wasn't told to book the nurse! So had them done today when I was with the nurse to have my slapped cheek immunity check done.

blueeyedviking · 27/11/2018 19:40

Wow you guys have been busy today. Great to see so much support and lovely to read up on during my commute home.

Sorry for TMI, but does anyone have more vaginal fluid when pregnant? Midwife said it was normal so not to worry but its so annoying as always assume something is wrong.... Stressful.

I have a lot of nausea but ginger biscuits have really helped. I have one when i feel its coming and that seems to be managing it...

RooKangaroo · 27/11/2018 19:43

Ooh, I love the idea of an app rather than the massive folders and paperwork.

I've already been told to carry my folder round at all tiles with me, and they don't even know it's a viable pregnancy yet! I think I'm leaving it at home, at least until after my 12-week scan.

RooKangaroo · 27/11/2018 19:44

@blueeyedviking, yeah I have a fair amount of discharge. Made bright yellow by the Pregnacare vitamins. So glamourous!

Softkitty28 · 27/11/2018 20:01

Ah nice to meet a fellow NI mumsnetter @SnailorSwift It’s my first pregnancy so I had no idea what to expect with the various appointments etc!

@RooKangaroo I’m relieved to hear I’m not the only one having this pregnacare side affect!Blush

StargazyDrifter · 27/11/2018 20:06

Thanks for the new thread, Frazzle.

Left work at lunchtime because I was feeling so sick and nauseous and there was just so much on - meetings with external people, tedious year ahead type forecast meetings, everyone wanting something or other, noise, people eating. 😂Boss (male, the one who would give Laburna's toddler a run for his money) wasn't too helpful and used my 'um need to go and work at home please' to start a conversation about whether I want a bigger project next year or keep the same one I have now. I was a bit grumpy with him and told him after 3 losses in the last 11 months this is a seriously tricky time, let alone a sicky time, and can we defer by 3 weeks until my 12w scan. Nothing rides on it in terms of the actual projects. He looked a bit surprised. Honestly, who promotes these people?! Similar to Kentishgal this is someone who is on all sorts of committees and do-gooding work things.

Symptom-wise, I'm wondering if it's stating to affect my judgment a bit. I just don't care about half the stuff I have on at work and feel a bit resentful. I'm usually the keenest bean in bean town.

Good luck with all the scans tomorrow and itsallgreek hope you get that flat!

BettySwoll0cks · 27/11/2018 20:20

the keenest bean in bean town is an expression that's never featured on any annual report of mine 😂

StargazyDrifter · 27/11/2018 20:27

Nor mine after this year! 😂

Trouble2cats · 27/11/2018 20:39

I'm so tired. I went to bed at 8:30 last night, I just want to sleep all the time! Sadly, I have so much work.
I'm amazed at how well everyone is coping! I can barely keep up with this thread.
Just want you to all feel very hugged tonight. What a wonderful bunch of people you all are!

allthegoodnamesalreadytaken · 27/11/2018 20:40

checking in! can't believe we're on 4 already.

I'm feeling absolutely awful so have decided to just not have dinner and lie in bed feeling sorry for myself hoping the sickness will pass. At home with toddler for the rest of the week and seriously thinking being at work might be a bit easier!

Cant remember who mentioned it upthread but i've been having loads of discharge too. Have to bring spare underwear to work to change into half way through the day sometimes

Good luck to everyone having scans tomorrow.

Kentishgal · 27/11/2018 20:40

Haven't even thought about being the keenest bean in bean town since before I had my daughter! And even then it was debatable.

Kentishgal · 27/11/2018 20:45

I swayed between feeling really sick and really hungry today - so when I was hungry I just ate so much - all carbs. I seriously don't know what I'll wear to work tomorrow - my belly is huge - it's usually flat but at the moment I look about 6 months pregnant! Unfortunately I think it's all bread though 😏. I'm basically having a bread baby.

bama4 · 27/11/2018 20:55

Hi all, mind if I join?
Caught up with the last thread, sorry to hear of all the losses and tough times some are having !
I will be 6 weeks tomorrow based on LMP. This is my first and I am absolutely terrified of something going wrong. Am booked in for an early scan at 8 and a bit weeks, counting down the days I just want to see a heartbeat!
Symptom wise I have felt sick since I got my BFP but haven't been sick yet. Sore boobs and sooooo tired!
Hope you don't mind me hopping in on thread 4 Blush
