@hayleyfx thinking of you sweetheart ❤️❤️❤️

TwinkleDay · 02/12/2018 18:59

Aww I have just found out that my DP sister has got engaged! Lovely news, she’s older than us and we are seeing them New Years with our news. His family are going to not know what to do with all this news! Hopefully! Little twinkle ✨ xxx

I’m so nervous, I feel like booking a private scan for Wednesday. Even though I had one Friday and I saw baby pip was in the right place.

I have a scan on the 14th and another on the 16th but they feel ages away I just wanna see the heartbeat and I’ll relax ( I hope 🤞🏻)

TheScaredyKat · 02/12/2018 19:10

@hayleyfx so sorry to hear that. Please keep us updated, sending you lots and lots of luck and love x x

ReginaPhalange89 · 02/12/2018 19:33

Oh I'm so sorry @hayleyfx. Sending love and hugs!

Hi, another latecomer. Our third is due sometime in mid July and I reckon i’m 7+2. Bit of a surprise and trying to not get excited or plan until we’ve had the 12 week scan as I’m 42 and this pregnancy feels very different to previous ones. Am feeling a bit pukey though with DD1&2 I was barely able to function and had horrendous nausea and food aversions along with bloating. This time I’m just tired, mild nausea and stomach is totally flat. This time I’m just taking folic acid and vit d rather than pregnacare and wonder if that’s why the nausea is less?!
Look forward to hearing about how you’re all getting in x

Meg1389 · 02/12/2018 20:56

I’m pregnant with my first and I swear it looks like I’m getting a little bump but is it far too soon really to be getting one? Unless it’s just food/ bloating!

Also my boobs just seem to grow and grow I was going to try and hold off getting a new bra until 12 weeks but just wondering if anyone else has had to go sooner? Didn’t want to spend money this early on if they are just going to get bigger but I’m starting to burst out of them! Any advise about bra buying will be appreciated!

In terms of Nausea, it tends to hit me around 4/5pm and I take an anti sickness tablet around 3 in prep for this. Works with my 9-5 job I suppose! It’s my first full week back at work this week I’m going to be shattered!

Midwife appointment Tuesday. Feeling excited and nervous and not sure what to expect?

StargazyDrifter · 02/12/2018 23:01

Meg I'm 8+4 and have had to buy a bigger bra. Made a huge difference.

Onestep2 I came across an old wives' tale today that heartburn in pregnancy = full head of hair on newborn. I think it was you that had the heartburn? 😉

StargazyDrifter · 02/12/2018 23:03

Welcome DrEv too! Sorry hit 'post' too soon. Interesting about Pregnacare, seems to be a lot of debate online. Thinking of switching in case it might help. I'll try anything at this stage, even a placebo.

mummytowilliam · 02/12/2018 23:28

hellllo new here Smile

according to all calculations im due the 3rd of July, anyone else ?

this is my second child but my first one is 7 so its all new again haha

Morning all. Still awaiting my scan on Thursday to see if things have grown and if everything is ok. Symptoms have tailed off but know that doesn't necessarily mean anything.
However, that's not the reason I am posting this morning. You have all sent me into a mile panic about holidays!! @stargazydrifter I also have a trip to the Caribbean booked and it literally had not crossed my mind about zika virus. At all! So I have googled this morning and it is present where I am booked to go.
I am meant to be flying in less than 2 weeks time.....so of course I need to wait until the scan on Thursday to see if things are ok first.
I had already been through the worst case scenario in my mind of how I would need a d and c early next week if it doesn't go well so I am ok for Friday next week.

Of course I want desperately for everything to be ok but if it is do we cancel? The sensible answer is yes but we have paid a fortune for our holiday and it's a significant amount of money to lose.
I have just tweeted BA and the holiday company to see how they can help. Maybe we can get credits or to be rerouted elsewhere. It's a cruise so we can't go elsewhere with them now as the rest of the world is too cold and rough for cruises! Maybe some credit for the future.
Arrrgghhh.
Anyway apologies for such a long message about something quite selfish!!

BirthdayKake · 03/12/2018 06:49

edid I'm afraid I would cancel if I was you :( really hope they can help you!

Kentishgal · 03/12/2018 06:49

Edidxb worth getting a doctor's note and then checking your travel insurance or otherwise sending the cruise company a copy of your doctor's note. Even if your travel insurance company won't cover it, a lot of the bigger travel companies will often give you credit etc. Which cruise company is it?

Hayleyfx so sorry to hear this but hoping for a positive outcome.

BirthdayKake · 03/12/2018 06:50

Oohh I've also heard of the heartburn thing! I've had four babies and the only pregnancy I had some heartburn in was the baby with lots of dark hair.

StargazyDrifter · 03/12/2018 07:14

edidxb It's such a tricky one. There are things you can do to protect yourself if you do end up going - long sleves/leggings, huge amounts of repellent, lots of air con at night... Our trip would have involved staying with friends and I didn't want to impose by always closing doors and turning their air con up out of worry. Plus the risk itself. Although plenty of people do go, and you can get a blood test on returning from somewhere like that - though not sure how long this takes to debvelop/treatment. As Kentishgal says, I'd have a look at your insurance. Very personal choice and, in our case, it wasn't clear cut at all but we dithered a lot. Bottom line was that we wanted to take no risks at all.

StargazyDrifter · 03/12/2018 07:16

BirthdayKake that's very interesting about your DCs! Especially as I sit here fighting heartburn...

AnnaBegins · 03/12/2018 07:41

Blimey I haven't posted in a few days and I'm so sorry to hear all the bad news, lots of love to all.

Just my 2 cents on pregnacare, it made me bleed lightly last time, seems fairly common from a quick Google so I switched to boots own and the bleeding stopped. This time I'm taking vit c, iron, and folic acid but only every other day as my DS had a bad tongue tie and tongue tie has become more prevalent since taking folic became more common. Obviously folic acid is amazing stuff and the risks of not taking it are much worse.

BirthdayKake · 03/12/2018 08:22

Oohh maybe then Star! Although I only had it in the third trimester... But I'm just not a heartburny person. More constant nausea and sickness :(

Hope you're ok hayley?

vixy1988 · 03/12/2018 08:29

I'm 6 weeks and 3 days, have just wiped and had some brownish dishcharge. Is this normal

Kentishgal · 03/12/2018 08:32

Vixy1988 I had exactly the same at the same point and my scan was fine last week. Hospital told me it's probably just leftover implantation bleed.

OneStep2 · 03/12/2018 08:40

@stargazyDrifter -- yes it was me who was on death bed with heartburn and acid reflux though thankfully the tablets the doctor gave me have kicked in so feeling a lot better..... so much so that i was able to stuff my face ALL weekend :)

Last attempt at posting scan pic as didnt seem to be working on my phone and im on laptop. lol
