Hi Ladies, I've been reading these July threads for about 3 weeks but was too scared to post. I'm 30 trying for our first baby MMC in May & CP in Sept, pregnant again anxiety through the roof rang my GP at 6w and she got me a scan at EPAU the next day - what a star! That was 13th Nov said I was just 6w and saw a HB measured 1.3mm which seemed to small for my liking. Offered rescan which was today saw the baby now 19.7mm they said 8w5d then when I saw the Nurse she said 8w3d sounds daft but when you've had an MC it's a worry she couldn't tell me why it'd changed.
Symptoms have been on and off so I've been worried spending most of my days in bed - I just want to feel well but super grateful I've got this far.

It's lovely to see how supportive you all are I've always been over on the misscriage thread and it's so supportive over there also.x

ReginaPhalange89 · 30/11/2018 14:31

@hayleyfx fingers crossed for good news for you !

ReginaPhalange89 · 30/11/2018 14:34

Does anyone else still not have any symptoms?
I'm 5+4 and starting to worry . I've no sickness yet, no sore boobs, nothing really ! I've had the odd crampy pains but that's it. I wouldn't say I feel particularly tired compared to usual either. I know I should be grateful and enjoy it while it lasts but I'm feeling so blah. I haven't told anyone yet so don't feel like it's real. Not due to have my booking in appt for another 2 weeks either!

RooKangaroo · 30/11/2018 14:47

@ReginaPhalange89, symptoms don't tend to kick in (if we get them) until six weeks. We all spend the TWW symptom-spotting, but healthcare experts would tell us that pregnancy symptoms take longer to kick in.

I was all fine until 4-5 days ago, and then suddenly nausea kicked in. I think I'm now 6+4/6+5, even though by LMP I'm 7+4.

ReginaPhalange89 · 30/11/2018 14:50

Thank you @rookangaroo. It's hard isn't it ! It feels so long since bfp to feeling anything! I think you're right though , think it was 6 weeks ish with my previous pregnancies. I just want it to feel real !

I'm getting really impatient to tell people now, but we want to try and wait til Christmas to make it extra special. We told our families really early last time so it feels wierd not telling them yet !

TwinkleDay · 30/11/2018 16:13

@AIDE2424, @Kentishgal and @Belmo Congratulations! Amazing news!

I had my book in appointment today, the lady was really friendly and DP came with me, just need to wait to be referred and they said they will send me through scan date in the post, does that sound about right? They should need to get a wiggle on as 12 weeks is only 15 days away :)

I had a lovely lunch out afterwards. Went to the loo on the way out and found ‘unsightlys’ in two of the cubicles and very nearly almost had my two courses come back again. 🤮 Scabs.

hayleyfx · 30/11/2018 16:36

@Chinks123 thank you. I’m pretty worried about that, it’s not possible for me to be less than like 5 and a half weeks. So I’m prepared for bad news. Thanks for the info x

Still waiting to hear my hcg level. Feeling pretty deflated. I’m sure this pregnancy is over.

blueeyedviking · 30/11/2018 16:37

Yeah that's what happened to me @Twinkleday - I got my scan letter a few days after my appointment. Mine is when I'm 12 weeks.

TwinkleDay · 30/11/2018 16:40

Thanks, was an information over load. They also advised me to go from just folic acid to vitamin d.

Is there any particular brand you guys use, been looking up pregnacare but don’t know if it’s just a gimmick or I’m better off with just Holland and barret own brand. I don’t fancy side effects.

Kentishgal · 30/11/2018 16:49

Twinkleday I took pregnacare max (with the omega 3 capsule too) last time and taking it again this time. I take it with dinner though as think it can make you nauseous otherwise (or more nauseous!). Someone recommended lamberts to me though (Google lamberts multivits) so might try them next month.

GiGi18 · 30/11/2018 17:03

@TwinkleDay boots do their own version of Pregnacare at a fraction of the price, box is next to it. I take that. X

Jxtina86 · 30/11/2018 17:15

@TwinkleDay I'm taking Pregnacare. I take it after breakfast (as it says to take on a full stomach) and haven't noticed any side effects. I got it off Amazon - think it was a better price than in the shops but can't remember exactly!

So at my booking in, I asked about flu jab. Midwife said I can go to my GP or pharmacy. Rang my GP the next day and the receptionist couldn't find any notes on my pregnancy. Said I had self-refered (as told by another receptionist!) and she was like 'oh that will be why.'

So in order to get my flu jab, I've got to first see the GP (So they can enter it on the system...) and then appt straight after with the nurse for the jab. Just feels like the self-refer was more hassle than it's worth! I thought it would speed this up but apparently they don't get any notes from the antenatal clinic?! Surely that's not right... anyone else had the same?!

Jxtina86 · 30/11/2018 17:16

Gosh sorry for the word wall - despite putting in paragraphs the app just ignores them!

TwinkleDay · 30/11/2018 17:32

Thanks guys, just the normal pregnacare then it max... trouble is I’ve gone off fish so I’m not having that at the moment.

Errr @Jxtina86 that’s odd I just rang them up (already had a gp appointment which was also a waste of time about 4 weeks ago) and said ‘can I have a jab because I’m p- I’m pregnant’ felt weird saying it out loud 😂 and they got me in 4 hours later no proof needed :/

Jxtina86 · 30/11/2018 17:41

@TwinkleDay I'm wondering if the notes will be sent across eventually. Going to ring up next week and double-check. I don't want to take up a GP appt that someone else could use in an emergency! The first appt I could get was 13th Dec - the day of my scan too...!

hayleyfx · 30/11/2018 17:45

Hcg level is 2555. Which apparently is considered normal for a pregnancy of 6 weeks gestation however my scan is inconsistent with that. Next bloods on Sunday, possibly scan again on Monday. Feeling fed up. Looks like I’m having my 5th miscarriage 😔 no bleeding or pain yet. Just need to get through this weekend without overthinking too much.

MakeAWhish · 30/11/2018 18:05

I'm a cheap skate and don't buy pregnacare. I just take folic acid and vitamin d x

BirthdayKake · 30/11/2018 18:10

No Pregnacare here either, four lovely DC.

Oh hayley :( I am thinking positive thoughts for you xx

Thanks for the flu jab reminder!

TwinkleDay · 30/11/2018 19:06

Makes you think years ago before vitamins people did just fine and cooked so why do we need it all I suppose.

@hayleyfx fingers crossed for you, waiting is the worst bit. But Sunday isn’t too far away x

Twistering · 30/11/2018 19:16

@Hayley sending huge positive vibes. Shittiest waiting game ever.

I’m just on own brand preggo vitamins. Having been tttc for 4+ years I have spent an eye watering amount on Pregnacare conception and Clearblue ovulation sticks!l

SnailorSwift · 30/11/2018 19:24

You've all just reminded me I need to take my vitamins 😂

TwinkleDay · 30/11/2018 19:36

@twistering I can imagine all of that can be really pricey over 4 years.

We bought 20 ov sticks and 1 pack of tests so only spent about £30 so far. But did spend plenty on steak and spinach for OH sperm count 😂

hayleyfx · 30/11/2018 19:55

Thanks everyone ❤️ Feeling pretty rubbish but guess I’ve got to cling onto that tiny bit of hope. 🤞

Kentishgal · 30/11/2018 20:35

Hayleyfx hoping for some good news for you. I agree re the vits and think any brand is probably fine - I'm now just superstitious over doing the same as I did last pregnancy which I know is silly but if it gives me some comfort then I'll stick to it! I know people never used to take vits and ate what they wanted without worrying, but then miscarriage and birth defect rates were higher - besides, I'll believe any old hype when it comes to health! Marketing depts dream!

StargazyDrifter · 30/11/2018 20:35

hayleyfx Horrible to be in this limbo, especially when there have been previous losses. Have also been there. ☹️ I genuinely don't think it's the end of the road just yet though. Your measurements AND hCG levels are also consistent with 5w. Have a look at the attached chart for hCH - your test fits both 5w and 6w, the variances are huge. All your test can definitely tell you today is you're not 4w, confirming what you said. The measurements also fit with 5w. They also provide a baseline. So all we need to see is an increase on Sunday. Fingers crossed! It's pretty early days in terms of seeing things on a scan, definitely. And the other good news here is that presumably all of this is in the right place and therefore not ectopic, which is great because not only is that a definite loss but it can damage your fertility for later, if you lose a tube. Which you won't. All that said, when 100% of your experience tells you there's only one outcome, it's hard not to get sad. But do please keep reminding yourself there's no definitive evidence of bad news at all - and we don't worry but things twice on this thread. Today, you are pregnant. 😊
