@curly I had brown spotting Friday to Tue, called the midwives and they said it sounded normal and if got any worse (it didnt) to phone back. I had sex Fri tho so I think that might have caused it.

Hopefully its all fine for us both - do you have your dating scan soon? Ive got mine Thursday.

Napssavelives · 01/12/2018 04:33

@curlypasta can yuu book a private scan for some reassurance?

SassehMonsta · 01/12/2018 06:47

Naps, that sounds like a great evening! We had brand on toast with added extras (mushrooms, sausages, tofu mayo, hash browns) and I ate too much. Went to bed very full and in pain.

Curly, I hope it was just overdoing it, and glad that nothing else has come of it - brown blood is old blood!

I must be feeling more like me, as DD and I made mince pies yesterday afternoon, and then I ate her some saltdough. I even managed to empty and refill the dishwasher. I'm currently shocked as it's almost 7am and DD hasn't woken up yet. Hurrah!!

OH and I'm 14+1 today so officially in the 2nd trimester now. Wahey! Tomorrow we visit my in-laws who we haven't seen since Sept, when I told MiL we were expecting. Sadly it's 2 hr drive there and then the same back - on the way I'm taking DH and BiL but on the way back it's just me and DD as they are going to a gig and staying over on the boat. We will be taking the kindle with Frozen downloaded again methinks to keep her quiet on the way home!

No more blood overnight so I’m back to being happy and nonchalant again (honest Confused) but my scans Thursday (and consultant) so I’m genuinely happy to wait til then. I’m on rest coz of my stupid blood pressure anyway so I can’t get wound up or I’ll have to be admitted again and hospital isn’t fun. But thankyou everyone- sometimes it’s hard to be rational!

Napssavelives · 01/12/2018 08:24

I may actually hate my husband this morning . I could kill him.

PaulHollywoodsSexGut · 01/12/2018 08:30

@curlypasta phew. It’s a good sign if it stays brown - keep the faith

@napssavelives is this a casual “he put the washing on the line last night and didn’t take it in” or something more serious?

I have a cold (diddums) but feeling pretty floored as I’m not eating properly atm. Yesterday’s full day was

  • bowl of cereal
  • a mince pie
  • a bacon sandwich
  • a biscuit
  • quarter of a tube of Pringles
  • an apple

That’s not enough. No wonder I feel pants.

13w today though. This time next week I’ll be in the second tri. That makes me very happy indeed.

Napssavelives · 01/12/2018 08:49

@PaulHollywoodsSexGut nah just hormone rage. He’s just fucking me off. Away with overnight Thursday Friday . Gets home bang on bedtime and winds the kids up last night. Then gets up this morning and disappears at 8 to go to the gym leaving me to get the kids showered and dressed as we are test driving a car at 10. I’m grumpy because I’m still too ill to do any exercise and I have insomnia and I’m anxious about the scan and the other kids and pushing my buttons. Like I said hormonal rage

PaulHollywoodsSexGut · 01/12/2018 08:51

Ah no @napssavelives

That’s justifiable rage, not hormonal

Napssavelives · 01/12/2018 08:53

That should say away with work!

Napssavelives · 01/12/2018 08:54

I’d dump the kids on him but we have lunch at a friends later then we are putting up the Xmas tree. I’m going to make some mulled apples juice and try trick my brain in thinking it’s cider. Then have a kids party and another test drive tomorrow. At least Tuesday and scan day will be here soon!

Fabuluce · 01/12/2018 11:30

Totally justifiable rage. I'm similar this morning. Insomnia for 2.5 hours plus an argument with DH and a cold has made me v grumpy. We've got dinner for 8 at hours tonight plus a murder mystery theme and in the middle of the night he decides to tell me he plans on being at the hospital all day with his mum and dad, not sure when back (Dad had major surgery on Thursday - he's been there for the last 2 days all day). At no point when I've been talking about everything WE needed to do has he felt the need to tell me I'd be doing it on my own with a toddler in tow. Of course I'm sympathetic to him and his family but maybe a heads up would have been nice before I bought all the food? We could have just ordered take out for goodness sake!

In other news I'm constipated, stuck on the f-ing big trying to poo and boulder with no luck. Not even the squatty potty technique is working. Aaaaargh.

Napssavelives · 01/12/2018 12:13

Oh no! Prunes? Lactulose?

Those on baby # 3 what you doing about cars? We test drive a touran today and tomorrow am smax

annihall · 01/12/2018 12:55

@Napssavelives I made some mulled apple juice the other day and tricked my whole family into thinking it was cider!
We haven't told them yet about the baby and to stop them from getting suspicious because I haven't been drinking the last few family occasions I just told everyone it was cider.. no one seemed to question it haha

curlypasta · 01/12/2018 12:55

Lovely creamy discharge back to normal now Grin and I know that’s tmi but I don’t care.

@napssaveslives we just bought a Citroen Picasso c4 it’s beautiful. Actually got 7 seats but three across the back are all isofix.
Having a quiet kinda day today, kids are knackered it feels like end of term already!

MauisLeftNipple · 01/12/2018 13:12

Naps we have an Alhambra. We thought it offered the most space in the very back row. We love it.

Fabuluce · 01/12/2018 13:22

All sorted with DH. We've cuddled and got over our issues. Thank goodness we argue well generally! Eating plenty of satsumas and heading for the lactulose. 🤞🏻. I'm also cooking Indian food for dinner tonight so hoping that will do the trick! Amazingly, given that my DH is vegan there isn't a chickpea or lentil in sight. What an error!

coastergirl · 01/12/2018 13:53

I'm feeling sorry for myself today. Just so, so drained. My little boy is being a horror. He's going to his dad's at 6 and could have gone sooner but I just miss him as soon as he's gone. He's hard work though and I have no energy. Woe is me.

Bimbabo · 01/12/2018 14:59

My scan went well. One day out with my dates so now 11 June rather than 12. Not that it’ll make much difference.

Scan took a while cause it seems I’m growing Tigger. Kept jumping about and doing flips. So beautiful to see so I wasn’t that bothered it took more time.

My hubby and I both work at the same hospital so our Consultant is going to do future scans and told us just to phone him if we had any worries/questions. Felt like a VIP!

Hope everyone has a good weekend and hugs to all that need it. I’ve got my works Christmas night out tonight and could see it far enough 😴

beardotdo · 01/12/2018 17:55

@Napssavelives Debating cars here too. Currently the Citroen C4 Picasso is winning. Haven’t taken any for a test drive yet so may change my mind!

R4ch4el · 01/12/2018 17:57

Congrats on your scan @Bimbabo! So cute that baby was jumping around. It’s funny to think of them moving around in there.

Went out to attempt some shopping today, only out for a couple of hours and I’m so exhausted! I was trying to buy some maternity tights as mine are really digging into my stomach but couldn’t get them anywhere! Anyone got ideas?

toasterstrudle · 01/12/2018 18:32

I had tights from Mothercare Rachel, they were good but needed a fair bit of a bump for them! What about getting a size up in regular tights for now?

Great news about the scan @Bimbabo !

I've got the opposite problem, I'm thinner than I've ever been just now (which is still in healthy range of bmi as I'm 9st4 and 5'7). Lost so much weight - really hoping the hg will ease soon. Hard not to worry about baby but scans suggest they're ok so fingers crossed!

MadeInCornwallx3 · 01/12/2018 19:22

Great scan news @Bimbabo !

Another one who needs a new car. I need to get two toddler seats/ high back boosters and a baby seat on isofix across the second row.

Looking at the VW Touran. Definitely interested to hear anyone else's knowledge!

lstef · 01/12/2018 22:30

Relieved to find that my car should have isofix as standard - have no idea how to find it or how it works but the manual should tell me.

Nausea is back for the foreseeable, starting earlier (mornings always ok), and feeling worse, I've had enough. I'm gonna ask for meds Monday - managing to eat ok ish but nowhere near prob what I should be. Eating thru nausea is so hard! I already struggle to put on weight (dont hate me hehe!) - my body just hovers around 9st4 at 5"8 - heaviest Ive ever been is 9st10. I hope bean has enough or can take enough of whats available to keep growing!

I am 12 weeks tomorrow. Another week almost done, goodness how this drags.

Hi to everyone else!

Napssavelives · 02/12/2018 02:29

@MadeInCornwallx3 we liked the touran, not that much longer than our car , doesn’t feel too big so should be able to park it, visability was really good too and eldest ds had enough room and was happy in the back in his High back booster.
