Similar yes - when she does nap she can do 2 hours!
I don’t know if she quite understands the implications of it but she says she has a baby in her belly too and seems excited about it! Does your ds?

Redken24 · 23/01/2019 12:50

@fraggle we are in the same boat then! I'm just worried about recovery got a 2yr old as well so just thinking how will manage lol

SPR1107 · 23/01/2019 13:17

He won't talk about it when people try and say anything to him, he isn't changed the subject, but when we're on our own, he asks me to open my belly so he can see the baby.. so I think he's a bit unsure

VixenAndCub · 25/01/2019 20:26

Hi! Finally found a thread that's still going :D

I'm 25, pregnant with my first baby and due 21st April (Easter baby!). Been having a lot of issues so I tend to come off as a worrier XD

I have a feeling the baby will be late unless I get a planned c-section so may have to shift over to the May 2019 babies if I'm unlucky XD.

Hope it's okay if I join you guys!

looktothewesternsky · 25/01/2019 20:52

Am measuring over 95th centile & having to have consultant appts, fortnightly scans and midwife appts; not fun at all! 29 weeks today - not long to go now all!

Tootyfrooty35 · 26/01/2019 04:06

Hi ☺️ 31 weeks here and generally doing well, I was in the fb group but I've not been on fb for months now so thought I'd check in here 👍
@SPR1107 what centile was your previous baby? My last was 98th, he was 11lb5 and born at home, no issues doneceonen do have bigger babies. I'm having growth scans this time, had a negative GTT too, but my consultant says he wouldn't worry about me having another higher centile bsby snd neither would I tbh. Depends on a few things though, happy to chat 🙂

Also the owner of a non napping two year old, and a four year old ❤️

Tootyfrooty35 · 26/01/2019 04:08

Born at home thst should say... Dodgy phone
😂

ChocolateChipMuffin2016 · 30/01/2019 10:41

I thought I should check in, it's been a while! I tried to join the FB group but failed, think it was me not doing something right!
I'm 29+4 today and starting to get a bit achy but generally feeling ok. I had a growth scan at 27+4 and my little bean was measuring on the 25th percentile. DS was on the 75th when he was born so this one might be small compared to their brother, but I know they're not super accurate and i have no concerns!
Anyone feel the nesting has stepped up a gear? I have always been a planner/organiser but my need to get stuff sorted has definitely stepped up in the last few weeks. Hoping to get the nursery finished by the middle of Feb so I can sort through all the bits we have in the loft. I would do it now but I have no where to put it!

hanny24 · 30/01/2019 15:27

@39Suzy @FinallyGotAnIPhone sorry just caught up with this thread and thought I'd reply to your past comments....

Partner did book LA. Have managed to get a dr note for airline (at the whopping cost of £15) must be organic vegan paper??

Anyhow, I have got insurance, read all the small print TWICE. Now just need to call them also. We depart 13th and return 18th..... HOPEFULLY they take pity on me and we get first class upgrade.... also we are Gold members with British Airways so that always helps! Fingers crossed or I'll be in for a fun 12 hours! nervous laugh* 😬😬😬

39Suzy · 30/01/2019 15:39

Have a great (and safe trip @hanny24 😊

Buttons28 · 06/02/2019 22:32

Hello, not sure if I've posted on this thread before, I'm on an April's baby's thread on the pregnancy board
Due 21st April with baby no.1. All seems to be going well and just waiting for these last few weeks to come and go. (Almost feels like waiting for your first scan again)
How is everyone doing?
The boards seem quite quiet as I presume most are on the Facebook group

AnxietyDream · 12/02/2019 19:31

Hi, I'd love to join the April facebook group, if anyone can point me in the right direction!

Voyley · 16/02/2019 18:54

Same here would love to join the April 2019 baby Facebook group - if anyone could point me in the right direction that would be great.

thanks

Gareth

Fraggleface · 05/03/2019 20:09

Anyone else not on fb and still here? Smile

35+3 here and in a lot of discomfort (dc2). Have to decide by Friday whether to go for elcs or vbac...

Buttons28 · 05/03/2019 21:43

Hi @Fraggleface there is an April thread in the pregnancy board 'First babies due in April' come and join us over there if you want x

ChocolateChipMuffin2016 · 06/03/2019 10:00

Hi @Fraggleface I'm still here, I tried to join the FB group but failed and think it's probably a bit late now (a bit like joining the party when it's almost over).
I'm 34+4 with DC2 and definitely starting to get uncomfortable now, more frequent fanny daggers (oh the fun!) and getting very tired. I've also been in and out of hospital as baby isn't growing apparently so been quite stressed. Definately not enjoying this pregnancy as much, my pregnancy with my DS was pretty much textbook.
So what are you thinking about the elcs vs vbac? I can't offer any advice as I haven't had a C-section but maybe listing the options/your thoughts on both might help you to make a decision?

5tarlight · 09/03/2019 22:38

Hiya I'm still here! 👋 Didn't fancy joining on FB, preferred the anonymity on here for talking symptoms, plus a group of 80 is a bit much for me to keep up with!
How're you guys doing? Am 34 weeks, just found I have GD so that's put paid to my cake-eating plans for the start of mat leave 😂 2 weeks left at work, how about you? Need to keep going with organising, car seat and hospital bag still to sort! We'll get there am sure.
Sorry to hear re growth chocolate, must be a worry but good they are keeping an eye on you. Opposite problem here, baby measuring big (hence the GD tests). Was hoping to be midwife led so having to be under consultant /high risk is frustrating for sure, but of course better to have the extra oversight just in case. I hear you on the uncomfortableness, I miss 2nd trimester where I felt pretty good all in all! Feel like am whinging all the time now, poor DH! Fraggle what have you decided?

Annie264 · 10/03/2019 18:17

@5tarlight I'm the same with the anonymity, not sure why!

Was also diagnosed with GD at around 29 weeks. I'm now 36, it was a struggle to get my head round to begin with but it seems "normal" now. Having said that, can't wait to tuck into a pot of Ben & Jerry's when the little one arrives!!

Our baby is measuring big owing to the GD, was 6lb3 at 32 weeks so we'll off the chart 😱 Next scan last week at 35 was 7lb 5 so still big but had slowed a little. Consulting has booked us for C Section on 26th but have another scan on 20th so things could change depending on results of that. Have you got a birth plan etc in place?

Also feeling generally uncomfortable and a bit fed up but finished work last week which was a big help! Glad to see there are still a few of us around on here!!

ChocolateChipMuffin2016 · 11/03/2019 11:07

Hello! Well baby grew on the line this week so my consultant was happy for a change and I haven't had to go in pretty much every day which has been nice! S/he is now 4lb10 (34+4). Also, after having a big panic that baby would be here already I have now got almost everything ready so our bags are pretty much packed and baby has somewhere to sleep, which were the things I had left to sort!

It's my last week at work (finish Wednesday), which I am bloody delighted about, cannot wait to try and relax a bit! I probably won't because I am terrible at just sitting, but at least I can if I want to - and nap! Oh, and I'll still have my toddler on Thurs/Fri (he'll stay with his CM 3 days a week till the end of March and then drops to 1 day from April 1st - I really hope baby might be here before then as I think I am going to struggle with him and being hugely pregnant!)

Bad news is I managed to put my back out on Friday (I think it was carrying the screaming toddler into the house!) so I'm feeling quite fragile right now, but I can still move and stuff so not all bad!

With regards to birth plan, I was all set to do it (or update the one I did for DS) and then with all the drama I decided that I might as well not bother as it wasn't going to plan anyway! But, now things have calmed down a bit I am going to do one, it's my first mat leave job.

Hope everyone is feeling ok!

FinallyGotAnIPhone · 14/03/2019 22:01

I’m here too not bothered about joining Facebook group. I’m 34 weeks and I’m going for a growth scan tomorrow ( because of my age - post 40). I’m absolutely knackered and fed up of going to the toilet 5 times a night.

39Suzy · 16/03/2019 08:55

@5tarlight i was diagnosed at 33w (so have a few in the FB group). Complete pain in the arse!!!

It takes 6 weeks for the diet to be effective so complete waste of time IMO. I am.on week 2 of monitoring and still.bot got yo grips with it, lost almost 4lb now (not overweight) which was dismissed by the MW last week at 2.5lb and i am so offended that the assumption was that i ate crap and did no exercise (neither is true). Really struggling with hunger and tiredness (lethargiclack of energy) when i have felt fine until.now. Anyway, end is nigh!
