We've got a bugaboo bee from baby 1 which we'll be using. DC1 will be 2.5 when this one arrives and is a pretty good walker anyway so will just get a buggy board.

FinallyGotAnIPhone · 11/11/2018 13:26

I had an Icandy Peach which I absolutely loved and used for the firs 9-12 months of my other babies before moving onto more lightweight pushchairs. However I gave it away so now I’m pramless and buggyless. As much as I loved the Peach I don’t love the £grand price tag so I’ll probably get a babyjogger again nearer the time as they’re easy to fold up.

Treaclepie19 · 11/11/2018 13:50

@SPR1107 I want the new version too :(
Tbh I want everything new 🙈

@Treaclepie19 we need quite a bit new surprisingly. What I really wanna is a mamas and papas play mat, they're cute! But also so expensive. Basically, I just want everything to come from there!

Shk38 · 11/11/2018 17:36

We're quite keen on the baby zen yo yo. It's our first and mainly coz it's light and folds up small. Anyone tried it yet?

FrazzyAndFrumpled · 11/11/2018 17:41

We’re keeping an eye out for double buggys as DS will only be 15m when this baby is born. So need something that will be good for a newborn and an older child... I’m thinking maybe the Mountain Buggy Duet.

How is everyone now? I’m 16+1 and starting to feel more and more anxious that I don’t know whether baby is ok in there. I’m still not sure if I’ve felt him/her moving around, can’t wait to be sure and feel it more frequently to give me reassurance. I’m seeing the Midwife tomorrow so hopefully will hear the heartbeat then. I’ve come down with another horrible cold, feel awful.

SheRaTheAllPowerful · 11/11/2018 18:00

Starrgazer I think it’s massiveky impressive that you are studying medicine :)
I imagine in that environment the idle gossip about you is just a deflection so people don’t have to worry about their own stress/worry of studying. I’m sure no one means to upset you. I think it’s human nature to discuss and gossip as much as people don’t like it x

Today's random pregnancy symptom.
An achy pain belly button. Like behind it.

I think its just stretching out as the uterus moves on up.

I love all the weird and wonderful things that happen.

Also got a cough that's driving me mad. Wanted a fresh lemon and honey. Dropped my lemon in the bin. Got mad. Other half is now traipsing to the shop to buy me a lemon.

SheRaTheAllPowerful · 11/11/2018 20:53

Sorry to laugh @MigMog but making your other half get you a lemon has made me chuckle Grin
I hope you feel better soon

MigMog · 11/11/2018 21:07

It's all good. He came back with 3 lemons. Now I've got my honey and lemon!

AlbaGirl8 · 12/11/2018 00:17

On prams, this is our first and DM is buying for us, so we’re very lucky. Have chosen M&P’s Occarro in Dark Navy. Pushchair and footmuff part look soooo cosy and it will be just about the right time for winter coming when they move to the pushchair Smile Also agree about M&P’s playmat - looks gorgeous but v. expensive! I bought a Christmas onesie for DC today...age 6-9months. What am I like?! Couldn’t resist! If we have a chunky monkey, I have a friend due 6 weeks after me so I’m sure her LO will fit it regardless! Haha!

italianwifey · 12/11/2018 10:54

@shk38 we were looking at the Babyzen Yoyo too - I like the fact that it folds up tiny and is light, we have a load of steps up to our house and live in London - plus my car at the moment is a mini convertible that I am praying I won’t have to sell, so if I can fit a tiny pram in the back that would be ideal!!

Footymum81 · 12/11/2018 12:27

@italianwifey @shk38 we looked at the yo-yo too. Our local John Lewis have one on display so we had a ‘play’ practising folding it etc. Think it’s only suitable from 6 months though. www.johnlewis.com/joie-pact-lite-stroller-lychee/p3320003
Is the one we’ve gone for, to us it seemed easier to fold and is also suitable from birth.

italianwifey · 12/11/2018 12:30

@footymum81 and @ shk38 I think they do a ‘newborn pack’ (great, extra bits to buy!) which is basically a carrycot attachment. They’re all so pricey! I might have a look at that one though footymum81, thanks!

jellybeann · 12/11/2018 13:07

We haven’t even thought about looking at prams yet! Although lovely MIL is potentially buying it, so I think we’re going to wait until we can have a proper talk with her about it!

Had our 20 week scan this morning, everything looks healthy and as it should be! So relieving as I am still not showing at all and haven’t felt any movement yet so was starting to get quite worried that maybe they weren’t growing properly. Baby was in a bit of an awkward position, but they said they were fairly confident it’s a little girl! Xx

italianwifey · 12/11/2018 13:20

Congrats @jellybeann ! I’m 18 + 4 today and still not feeling much at all, nothing definite. My scan isn’t until 21 +5 though!

FrazzyAndFrumpled · 12/11/2018 13:37

Lovely news jellybeann, congratulations!

My midwife came round this morning. We listened to the baby’s heartbeat and I definitely felt a kick while the doppler was pressing on my tummy Smile 16+2 today.

monkerina · 12/11/2018 14:17

Congrats @Jellybeann!!

DS and I played supermarket sweep in Sainsburys this morning as its a nectar point double up event thingy, he chose a little Paddington onesie to be baby's first outfit 😍 he's a bit obsessed with Paddington right now!

Ohnonotanotherusername · 12/11/2018 14:18

Brilliant news @jellybeann Smile

Annie264 · 12/11/2018 15:12

Congrats @jellybeann !

@italianwifey I'm the same. Get the odd grumblings but don't think anything has been movement. Such a long wait after 12 week scan isn't it!! Our 20 week is when 21+1 so know exactly what you mean!

MigMog · 12/11/2018 15:33

With you all. Hit 18weeks and nothing felt inside yet. I know it is still early and doesn't happen for some until 20+ weeks.

It is hard having nothing for that 6 weeks.

I am a lot bigger now. So that is reassuring st least and I did hear the heart beat 3 weeks ago. So broke it up a little.

Our 20week scan is when I'm 20+4, so just over 2 (very slow) weeks.

SPR1107 · 12/11/2018 16:08

Congratulations @jellybeann!

The wait in between appts/scans is the worst... but we're either halfway or very nearly halfway there now!

I've just got back from the doctors, been feeling rubbish for weeks but put it down to general pregnancy... I've got tonsillitis, borderline quincy! Been up since 2.30 being sick, they think morning sickness has caused it, but it's not causing more sickness because of the poison.

Such fun and games this pregnancy malarkey!

MigMog · 12/11/2018 16:24

@SPR1107 that's rubbish. Hope it clears pretty soon for you.

I came down with a chest infection last week and still coughing. Bugs plus prego are just knackering.

Buttons28 · 12/11/2018 18:14

Had my 16 week appointment today and got to hear the heartbeat. I'm so happy that the little one is still going strong as my symptoms have calmed down and I'm not really showing yet (stuck in that in between stage of my jeans can't do up but I can't get away with maternity jeans just yet). My 20 week scan is three weeks away. No sign of feeling any movement yet.

Thanks for all the replies about prams/buggies our researching has just begun and there are just so many!

17+1

luckyleeds · 12/11/2018 19:37

Hi everyone. Sorry, I think I've only posted here once so far. I always read though! Sorry to hear some of you are unwell. I've had a cough for ages too and worst of all is my pelvic floor is giving up already (second baby) so coughing is not helping AT ALL!! :(
I wanted to recommend this book I have bought. Wish I had had it with my first. Nothing to do with babies really, but is about looking after yourself and recovery after the birth. It really is a nice read with some tips on food, exercise, rest, visitors etc. Think it was under a tenner on amazon.

20 week scan on Thursday but still not feeling much movement even though I definitely have a bump!
Good luck with the pram searching, I hated that. So much choice. Think I'm going to try the sling and our normal buggy to begin with (dd will be nearly 2) and just see how it goes
