I'm completely off sex too, haven't done it since I conceived Blush combination of DH being sure he'll 'poke the baby' (don't flatter yourself love!), anxiety, not feeling sexy and not being together- have been in the spare room since August due to DH's horrendous snoring meaning that I don't sleep.

@footymum DS is only booked in to do 2 short mornings (3 hours) a week, am hoping he'll find it more fun than playing on his own at home while I feed and change baby! Will talk to preschool though and see what they think, thanks x

Rosalind22 · 30/10/2018 19:16

Super quick question - has anyone else gone from their 12 week scan to their 16 week appointment without any scans or checks in between?

I know it sounds silly but this evening I've suddenly starting worrying that by next Thursday when I have my 16 week appointment it will have been 4 weeks since I have seen baby and what if they aren't okay in there anymore?!

I know I am just over worrying!

jellybeann · 30/10/2018 19:52

@Rosalind22 a four week gap seems to be quite normal, following the 16 week appt my next two are the 20 week scan, and then seeing the midwife at 24 weeks! I thought the same though, was getting concerned as it had been a while, and thought she would try to find the heartbeat at the 16 week appt and be unable to, but all was fine!

This might sound crazy, but I’m quite fed up of not looking pregnant! I am hardly showing at all, I just look like I’ve eaten a big meal. Half of me is glad - I still fit into my jeans and don’t have a bump getting in the way/feeling all heavy, but I don’t feel pregnant because I’m 18 weeks and don’t look it at all! Also had to ask for a seat on the train this morning, as I had three bags and lots of paperwork, and the lady I asked looked at me like I was crazy when I said I was four months pregnant!

starrrgazer · 30/10/2018 19:58

Am currently in the middle of a 5 week gap from a 15 week appointment to my 20 week scan! It's frustrating but normal so I'm just telling myself it's great I don't have any health issues that require frequent appointments!

Tbh our sex life is better than ever! I am def suffering from low body confidence as it's a kind of in between period where I also don't look very pregnant but not like myself either but other than that, have been enjoying it a few times a week! No bleeding or any cause for concern so will keep on!

Hi everyone, my first time posting, it’s great reading through all your comments here to know i’m not the only one wondering all these things! I’ve read this entire chain 😂 has answered loads of things for me so will keep watching

Due 27th April with baby number 1 😊 xx

Footymum81 · 30/10/2018 20:30

@jellybeann be careful what you wish for! I was saying the same 2weeks ago and am now out of my old jeans into maternity ones and definitely look pregnant!

Stressful day here, my DGM (99 next month) came ho e from hospital, DM, DH and I were there to help her settle in, she came back in a right state, really not herself. DM panicked, carer came and was concerned, ambulance called etc. Assessed her and decided she was ok at which point she perked up, made us get her comb so she could do her hair, and asked for a bacon sandwich! Then fell asleep in her chair while we were making it. All ok now, nan tucked up in bed and we’re all home.

SheRaTheAllPowerful · 31/10/2018 14:43

Maternity clothes, had anyone ordered much?
I have one pair of jeans, a t shirt and a jumper, but think I need some more. I might steal my husbands coat for the winter even if it’s massive and I look stupid, at least I’ll be warm :)

Treaclepie19 · 31/10/2018 15:15

I've got some jeans. Ordered some leggings and a coat too... I'll need some more but it'll have to wait until next month.

I've had jeans for a while and have just bought some leggings as well. 1st ante natal yoga class tonight and realised that my usual exercise clothes no longer fit - so had to panic buy something at lunchtime.

Braverthanweare · 31/10/2018 15:50

I've ordered some vests tops as my tops keep riding up, I've got my jeans and some dresses from last time, but want some nice jumper dresses that don't cost the earth

SheRaTheAllPowerful · 31/10/2018 16:02

Some nice bits on ASOS outlet

sodababy2 · 31/10/2018 16:08

I've got jeans etc from before but I was pregnant during summer last time so very much in need of some warm maternity clothes! H&M were quite good last time and I also brought some good work dresses from seraphine - quite expensive but good quality and they often have voucher codes.

My last pair of stretchy normal jeans are now a bit tight 😣 so gradually making the transition to mat ones (and stretchy leggings!).
New Look and Top Shop do lovely mat jeans. H and M is good for dresses and tops and New Look also has good cheap tops and workwear. I have a lot from ladt time but have picked up a few bits. I bought a coat from Jojo meman bebe at the weekend with a detachable panel (to make it bigger for bump). 70quid but i think it will be a good investment as it goes over a baby carrier too.

monkerina · 01/11/2018 06:41

I have a few pairs of jeans and a couple of tops from last time, but turns out my bum was bigger so only one pair fit so far (nice problem to have!) I liked H&M's over bump jeans best, then bought tops, cami and coat a size or two bigger from Primark. DS was a February baby so not too far out season-wise. Would love a nice jumper dress or two this time around but can't find anything yet, do shout if you find any!

Buttons28 · 01/11/2018 09:11

I think I'm going to have to go shopping for some maternity jeans this weekend. Looking online I can't seem to find much in petite. Any suggestions of where to look?
Also looking at jeans there are two styles - over bump and under bump. Is one more comfortable than the other?

newrubylane · 01/11/2018 09:23

Hi all. I'm looking particularly bumpy this morning, which makes me :)

I ordered some maternity jeans from gap last week, in the same size as my current Gap jeggings, and they were about 2 sizes too big all over. So frustrating. I know I'm going to put some weight on, but seriously...! My skinnies have been out since about week 7. I could get into them but it wasn't comfy at all. Jeggings I can still get into but I don't think that'll last much longer. Leggings and tights currently ok, so I'm mainly living in those. I've had recommendations for H&M and ASOS maternity jeans, if it helps.

All the winter stuff I've been buying since I found out I was pregnant has been mainly non-maternity (barring a top and a jumper from H&M, neither of which look at all maternity-like), but purchased with pregnancy in mind, so big roomy jumpers, non-waisted stretchy dresses, and cardis and jackets for layering. I'm hoping I'll only need maternity jeans and few basic maternity tops to get me most of the way!

Fraggleface · 01/11/2018 09:54

ASOS do petite maternity jeans. I’ve just bought some and they’re tighter on the leg than I’m usually comfortable with but I think as I get bigger they’ll have a decent chance of staying up.
DD1 was born in October so I have nothing suitable for a winter pregnancy. Definitely going to have to buy a coat.

MigMog · 01/11/2018 09:57

Were off to London today. Meeting some good mates, I've been looking forward to seeing them in ages.

Big low point. I've had a headache for a day and a half. I've been avoiding any tablets but I might have to take some paracetamol.

Anyone been getting bad headaches with their pregnancy?

SheRaTheAllPowerful · 01/11/2018 10:07

Terrible headaches, just been trying to my water intake apparently it’s very common in pregnancy :( I hope you feel better.
I bought H&M maternity jeans the fit was perfect for me, and I’ve bought. Few bits on ASOS last night.

Treaclepie19 · 01/11/2018 10:10

Headaches here too :( Especially this morning which may be to do with flu jab yesterday?
I've had to have paracetamol for it once or twice MigMog

39Suzy · 01/11/2018 10:12

@buttons28 i find overbump stay up better as i have found most come up generous on your normal size and slip down!!! And the belt loops are sometimes too small for an actual belt 😂.
Overbump may be a bit big until 4 to 5 months but are better for not slipping down and give a smoother shape until tighter tops i think. As we will be pregnant in winter i guess the extra layer wont hurt either!
Jojo maman bebe do a bump band which i found handy last time for keeping up my under bump jeans (basically a big elastic band which can act as a 'belt').

I think Newlook and Topshop do petite lengths x

39Suzy · 01/11/2018 10:15

@migmog i have had a few headaches this time. I have been assured you can take paracetamol safely so dont suffer x

17 weeks here. Constant period type cramp ever since my first missed period back in August ish. Round ligament pain is new the last week or so, but only an occasional twang/pull.

I've got an awful headache here too - might succumb to the paracetemol today.

Anyone found a nice maternity coat? My usual coat is duffle style - the toggles still do up but the zip won't anymore. I think I need to bite the bullet and get a maternity one.
