@Baby160P I've also been getting the random sharp jabby pains don't worry I don't think it's stress related mine is usually in bed! Think it's just a stretch time again.

Hope work improves!

AliceRR · 04/10/2018 15:20

@Baby160P I worry about stress affecting baby as I have a stressful job (and feel behind due to simply having not been as productive at work and having more time off than usual and just not working late like I used to) and DH and I can have quite the blazing row occasionally but I think they are quite resilient and well protected in there. I get the odd jabs now and then but not stress related. I’m a worrier so anything that happens (eg if I think I’ve hurt my bump or fallen or something) I would attribute the jabbing pain to. I think normal every day stress that we are all subject to at times won’t do any harm but we do need to try to keep stress at baby as much as possible.

Surprisedmom · 04/10/2018 17:54

@baby160p I have had some sharp pains occasionally over the last few days too and I haven’t been stressed out at all so i’m sure it’s just growing pains.

emalady · 04/10/2018 18:27

@baby160p I have also had some sharp pains often watching TV or relaxing so I wouldn't worry too much. That said stress isn't great for baby or you, any way of reducing pressure before Feb?

Baby160P · 04/10/2018 19:13

Thanks everyone, to be honest it feels like they're purposely piling on the pressure.

I've sent them a email today and finally stood up for myself but I feel pretty battered emotionally by them.

I worry they'll try and sack me for.... in my eyes no reason as I really do work my butt off for them!!

I write this as I'm still crying!!!

Yakadee · 04/10/2018 19:42

That's awful, not a nice position to be in at all. You must have rights. It's not when you need support not pressure!

Hope you feel better soon xxx

NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking · 04/10/2018 19:47

I have a high pressure job, with done very unprofessional people 😬

I’ve had these pains this pregnancy, and in previous when I was a SAHM. They’re normal 😊

They can’t fire you, and if they were stupid enough to do so, you’d have everything you needed for a successful tribunal.

Don’t stress.

Baby160P · 04/10/2018 19:53

I love this group for this very reason.

Thank you.

I even made sure I'm legally insured Incase it comes to being fired and I will have a case.

This is not what I need and the poor baby!!!

emalady · 04/10/2018 19:59

If you really are worried they might try and sack you I would have a chat with your union if you have one or citizen's advice. They can't sack you for being pregnant or

emalady · 04/10/2018 20:00

Oops posted too early... Pregnant or unwell because of it. Hope things get better. X

AliceRR · 04/10/2018 21:15

I meant we must keep stress at bay not at baby!! 🙈

@Baby160P Sorry to hear you’re having a hard time at work. Do you have a HR department or someone to speak to?

I am stressed with work but not because they are being unfair. My employer is quite good actually but I feel SO behind and I just don’t have the energy I would need to put in to get back on top of everything. I’m considering logging on now to do a bit of work to make myself feel better!!

Baby160P · 04/10/2018 21:34

Sorry to be a Debbie downer everyone!

Good to know.

Unfortunately no. I'm a nanny so just me myself and I!....... And 6 children!

It's not even the children!!

AliceRR · 04/10/2018 22:20

@Baby160P Oh yes I forgot you were a nanny

I’m now sitting in bed - didn’t log on to work 😬

twiglet · 05/10/2018 04:40

😔 I'm back to not sleeping for long periods again. Not even my night time cleaning is helping to make me tired!

I had about 2 weeks of improvement so was hoping it had resolved but nope been awake since 2am...

Thesnobbymiddleclassone · 05/10/2018 05:06

Constantly awake from 3am. It does my head in!

Alicejj8x · 05/10/2018 06:09

@Baby160P

Oh I really hope your ok! I can sympathise with you on the nanny front as we have the same job so it's hard when it's you and the kids and no break really!

Your employers sound like they have just for the hump
About you being pregnant and possibly the possibility of them having to look after the kids instead of someone else. Maybe that's just got to them! As I duno about your family but mine who are lovely defo put their work first! So much so they are getting a temp nanny to cover me which I can understand don't get me wrong but it maybe nice to take this time to spend some of it with the kids but hey lol

I really hope your ok xx

Alicejj8x · 05/10/2018 06:10

Yes to also being awake from stupid times!!

Got my scan today so I'm sure that's also contributing to my lack of sleep

Fredthespider · 05/10/2018 06:21

Good luck with your scan today @Alicejj8x

So sorry to hear about how stressed work is making you feel @Baby160P, I hope they come to their senses and support you instead of making life difficult x

Physio appointment for my pelvic pain today :)

Wames90 · 05/10/2018 07:40

@Alicejj8x I hope your scan goes well today 🤞🏼 What time is it?

@FredTheSpider I hope your physio goes well too! How often will you be getting the sessions? I’ve been struggling with pelvic pain but not sure it’s enough to be offered physio too. I did try pregnancy yoga yesterday and it seemed to ease it slightly!

NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking · 05/10/2018 08:07

Where do they get their giant peppers from?!

Due Feb 2019 - we’re halfway!
Yakadee · 05/10/2018 08:40

@NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking - Haha. Mine this week was this - random!

Due Feb 2019 - we’re halfway!
Baby160P · 05/10/2018 08:59

4am is my wake up call too!

@Alicejj8x yes I bet you sympathise too.
I agree about the going on maternity, how much can we get out of her before she goes scenario. Mine already have a temp advert too.

I love my job and I love the children but completely agree with you in the fact everyone I've worked for their job seems to be their baby and the kids aren't priority at all. Feels like they're more my priority. Sad things is my old family I had for 9 years and the kids text me regularly even as teenagers, my pretend kids for life!!!

I'd HATE it if this baby ever want to go to anyone else about their problems than talk to me. I don't know how they cut off like that.

#nannyrant

Baby160P · 05/10/2018 09:00

@Alicejj8x hope your scan goes well. Can't wait for ours xx

NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking · 05/10/2018 09:19

I’m already looking for a nanny/childminder for this bump!

It’s not that I don’t want my own kid, it’s that I have to work if I want to keep my house. Starting looking now as I want to find the right person for the job 🤷🏻‍♀️

Fredthespider · 05/10/2018 09:41

@Wames90 This is the first appointment for me, my trust runs monthly sessions that are drop in so I suppose I could go monthly. I did some googling of exercises and some of the lovely ladies here posted some of the leaflets of advice that they had received which has helped so I'm not as bad as I was a couple of weeks ago when I could barely move! I'd like to get a support belt though, I've still got 4 months left of baby getting bigger and don't want to be in a position where I can't see someone.
