For DDs first outfit she actually wore the onesie I did the day I was born.

We got a lot of her clothes from mothercare and next. I also love children's salon, Debenhams and John Lewis.

You can also get some lovely prices from Morrisons and Sainsbury's.

Yakadee · 02/10/2018 20:12

I get a lot of stuff from sainsburys for my son. Always find them reasonable and great quality x

MakeLemonade · 02/10/2018 20:24

I like H&M kids, Zara and JoJo but also tend to buy online. Love alexandalexa.com - they have great sales and some nice brands (some ridiculous designer ones too though, skim past!) and bonnie mob is an independent brand I really like.

Tbh and this is just my opinion - ‘outfits’ are wasted on newborns. They’re most comfortable in sleepsuits and that’s easiest for you to change them - esp if you have a puker! But very soft wool knits are great if you can find them - luckily my mum is a superstar knitter!

Since2016 · 02/10/2018 20:29

Also depending on whether you like that sort of thing - frugi and maxamorra are cute!

Celebelly · 02/10/2018 20:37

I hadn't actually thought about a going home outfit. I was just going to use a generic sleepsuit or something! Eep! I get some bits in my Scottish baby box that I was planning to use for hospital wear.

@Since2016 - here is a photo of husband knitting a cardigan for baby (with cat!)

Hi all, new to this so first time posting. 20 week scan this Thursday and due on 18th feb with first baby Smile Have found out I am rhesus negative but don’t know much about that as just got letter in post and not seen MW yet. Anyone else the same ??

Celebelly · 02/10/2018 20:50

I'm rhesus neg too. Just means you need a jab at (I think) 28 weeks and then another after birth potentially. Also if you have any bleeding or knocks in that region, you should contact your midwife asap to get the anti-D injection too.

Notquiteagandt · 02/10/2018 21:04

@Since2016 huge frugi fan love their company ethos. Not a fan of anything thats not knitted or cotton on tiny babys the more natural the better for me personally.

Think I need to get my work head off and stop looking at things being overly critical.

An elderly neighbor asked to knit for me so I have picked the most softest merino wool in jewel colours and autumn tones to give to her. Cant wait to see what she comes up with!! Ive requested little pram suits and jumpers.

@powkin this is so lovely. So much love must be going into each piece 😍 what a fab guy!

twiglet · 02/10/2018 21:08

Hi Charoon I'm O- it's fine you just receive additional injections as Celebelly said.

Leonora94 · 02/10/2018 21:18

Having a girl! The scan was so amazing I had know idea they’d go into so much detail it was lush x

Since2016 · 02/10/2018 21:42

Agree @notquiteagandt and that’s amazing re your neighbour - hand knitted things are the best. I have the most gorgeous stuff my mum has made. @powkin that’s amazing!!! I can’t knit for toffee I’m most impressed.

NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking · 02/10/2018 21:57

My other half felt the baby for the first time this evening.. sooner than I thought he would but I’ve been getting some proper kicks this evening 😍

DragonFlew · 02/10/2018 22:00

I'm also rhesus negative and as the others have said it's just a dose of anti d at 28 weeks and then they test baby at birth (with blood from the cord). If baby is negative then that's fine but if baby is positive then you get a second dose of anti d so protect future pregnancies from.any antibodies your body may have created in response to an alternative rhesus factor within your body.

As also said, any trauma that may cause your blood and baby blood to mix could also require a dose of anti d - like a fall.

emalady · 02/10/2018 22:09

Place marking for now

twiglet · 03/10/2018 07:40

He was still kicking when DH got home so he was able to feel him for the first time. Only when he did really strong one's but DH was very happy and I was glad I wasn't imagining it!

emalady · 03/10/2018 07:49

I'm kinda jealous, I'm feeling her move more now but no chance of DH feeling her. Not helped by my tummy! I'm still feeling tired most of the time. Was hoping it would get better before the 3rd trimester!
Saw some very cute and practical vests in h&m with poppers down the side for easy removal, might wait and see if I can find similar second hand.

Alicejj8x · 03/10/2018 08:23

Ahh woken up to a blocked & very painful ear 😫 off to the doctors this morning but not to sure what they can / give me

Lookingforadvice123 · 03/10/2018 10:53

I'm waiting for my 20 week scan, on my own! NO spaces at my hospital, we were driving round for 30 mins and I had to just leave DH in the car and run in the end. Ridiculous. My hospital is huge with loads of spaces, not a single one available. We had no issues for my 12 week scan.

Lookingforadvice123 · 03/10/2018 10:53

I just hope he gets here before I'm called in Sad

Baby160P · 03/10/2018 11:13

@Lookingforadvice123 how annoying. Hopefully he can catch up. Good luck xx

lanalawr · 03/10/2018 11:44

Oh no @Lookingforadvice123 hope he gets a space soon and can join you. It's awful for parking there!

@Alicejj8x hope you manage to get some relief for your ear soon.

Thesnobbymiddleclassone · 03/10/2018 12:25

Have my scan on Monday. Any final gender guesses? We'll be finding out.

Due Feb 2019 - we’re halfway!
Lookingforadvice123 · 03/10/2018 12:55

Thanks all, scan went well phew all fine!!! So so happy. I got called in before he arrived! Luckily he only missed a couple of mins but it was horrible starting on my own.

Only thing (which I know isn't a problem) is I have an anterior placenta. Who else has one, I know there's a few? I've been feeling movements but I thought it might've been less than when I was pregnant with DS so that explains it. I hope it's easy to monitor.
