June 2019 - The Early Birds

SassehMonsta · 19/09/2018 16:22

Hello there,

A new thread for those who are due in June 2019. The Early bird catches the worm! Or, in my case, the sickness.

Feel free to introduce yourselves and make yourself at home.

I'm Sarah, 28, and currently super-early into my pregnancy at 3+1. This will be my second child, and I have in the past, and currently still do, suffer from HG (severe morning sickness).

So come one, come all, let us start our journey with sticky thoughts! Welcome, to the June 19 bus!

@SockQueen Thankfully no more over night, so really hoping it was just a one off! Fingers crossed!

Stormwhale · 14/10/2018 08:16

@kimbishop86 - glad the bleeding has settled down, hopefully it was just a blip and you won't have any more.

Feeling rough here. I had a viral thing earlier in the week, and it has now come back with a vengeance. I have lost my voice and I'm snotty and feeling rubbish. Hoping it clears off soon as I am struggling a bit with dd and feeling so tired anyway.

mumtobe245 · 14/10/2018 08:36

Hi everyone. Can I join please?
I got my BFP 3 days ago with expected due date on 18 June 2019. This will be our first baby so both DH and I are super nervous and have no clue what to expect during the pregnancy. I find reading this thread very helpful so far as it's nice to know there are people who are experiencing the same things. Fingers crossed we will all get to the 12 week mark safe and healthy x!

Kimbishop86 · 14/10/2018 08:36

@Stormwhale Yes I hope so!

Sorry you’re feeling ill, never ideal when you have a little one to look after as well! Hopefully you can get an early night and feel better for the week!

Katexx123 · 14/10/2018 09:39

Hi, I’m 3 weeks 5 days and we’re due in June 2019!
This is my first pregnancy, we have been trying for 18 months so very excited, nervous, overwhelmed!! Xx

jacquejacque · 14/10/2018 11:51

I've got an event at work next week and my boss has emailed to ask my team to help set up and dismantle, including carrying fairly heavy items up and down stairs and lifting tables etc into position. I'll only be 6 weeks at that point and due to two previous early MCs am obviously a bit nervous. Any ideas on what I can do without giving the game away this early? Confused

SockQueen · 14/10/2018 12:02

Heavy lifting itself is not likely to harm the baby - more likely to injure you as your ligaments and joints soften, but even so at this early stage you're probably ok. So you probably would be ok, otherwise just feign a back injury?

jacquejacque · 14/10/2018 12:23

Thank you @SockQueen that's reassuring - I'd read something about it being harmful but didn't remember the details so I'm pleased it's potentially fine. Made me really nervous as I'd rather not tell work this early!

GreenDill · 14/10/2018 13:57

@jacquejacque I’d personally feign a pulled muscle in the back or something along those lines x

I’m only 4+4 today and feels like it’s been ages since I got my BFP ..only 4 days agoBlush . How’s everyone feeling today?

toomanyflatwhites · 14/10/2018 15:18

Another one signing in for the first time after lurking for the past week or more - hi June mums to be! I got my BFP on Wednesday which I think gives me an EDD of 17th June-ish but my cycle was a bit wacky this month so could be later. This will (hopefully) be DC2 for us, DD is 2.5 but I had a chemical in August so not counting my chickens yet.
I didn't think I had symptoms yet but I think the tiredness may be kicking in, though that may be related to a combo of epic insomnia the night after the BFP followed by shit nights with DD ever since, and my DP is away today so am flying solo with a cheeky toddler when all I want to do is lay on the sofa!!

TakingtheLeap · 14/10/2018 16:06

GreenDill I know exactly what you mean! 4th day of knowing for me too and it feels like it's been forever...

I've been feeling super tired this weekend - I've been having lots of naps. Blush I've actually been quite startled by how intense my symptoms have been the past few days. DH joked about twins.

Torsz · 14/10/2018 16:44

I've known 3 weeks now and it feels like a lifetime 😂 just focusing on the next step each time (currently my midwife booking in appt in 9 days, then it'll be the 12 week scan about 3-4 weeks later). The good news is that my anxiety has got better, but I don't think it will ever completely go away!

hexagon01 · 14/10/2018 16:50

Not many symptoms here, but still very early. For some reason when I rang my doctors to book in with the midwives they said I have to see a doctor first, which I didn’t last time and that was only 2 years ago! Did anyone else have to see a doctor? Couldn’t get an appointment til a week tomorrow either. Oh well, tbh I quite like having more appointments, especially if they do another test..

Ksjourney · 14/10/2018 16:52

Glad you're on the mend @SassehMonsta my husband has been force feeding me cold watermelon I've found it quite refreshing with the sickness.

I've been on cyclizine for a few days now and not been sick since (thankfully). I'm still feeling rubbish but it's definitely helping me to function.

Congratulations and welcome to the new BFPs 😊

Napssavelives · 14/10/2018 17:11

Boobs definitely more sore- hurray for more symptoms! 5 weeks tomorrow, this week that I’ve known has dragged!

beardotdo · 14/10/2018 17:45

@hexagon01 we have to see a Dr here who then refers you to the midwife. Seems a bit of a waste of an appointment, but hey.

stellarfox · 14/10/2018 19:14

Congrats all new joiners. Great news @Katexx123 it took us 12 months and we’re having our first too.

My boobs have got a lot more sore, it hurt to lay on one side last night! I’m 6+3 and midwife meeting isn’t until 25th so feels like an age away. I’m on holiday so trying not to wish my holiday away but I also just want to have that appointment and my first scan!

toasterstrudle · 14/10/2018 20:17

Hi all, tentatively joining for symptom discussion and reassurance! Got my bfp on Thursday, have had two losses this year (one a mmc at 12 week scan) so feeling very nervous but keeping everything crossed. We will get an early scan at 8 weeks due to history, holding off until I'm 6 weeks to contact for booking app - being overly cautious probably!

Congratulations and fingers crossed for everyone.

Hi All, I'd love to become part of this group. Just found out I'm due around June 15th 2019 with my first. I'm brand new to Mumsnet and the whole pregnancy/maternity world! I have to start figuring out how it all works, living in London and so far have been a little overwhelmed with all the information there. Looking forward to speaking with experienced mums who could give any advice!

emily1511 · 14/10/2018 20:58

I’d love to be apart of this group tooo! Estimated due date 16th June. Will be my first pregnancy so still trying to figure out what’s normal and what’s not haha! Grin

Welcome to all the newcomers and congratulations!! Remember to message Mummytomollyandbean to be added to the Facebook group. :-)

thatsoccerchick · 14/10/2018 21:34

@tron84 Hi, I’m in London too. This is DC2 for me so happy to chat about my experiences. I also had PND the first time so if anyone wants to chat about that, I’m happy to.

Welcome to the newly tested.

I am wearing my seabands to deal with the nausea daily (though trying to make sure I always wear long sleeves at work). It has started so much earlier for me this time though I’m not looking forward week 7 when it all started in earnest last time. How do the rest of you hide it at work?

firsttimer26 · 14/10/2018 21:35

Hi everyone, i'm also a first timer and a little anxious about getting excited because i'm only around the 5 week mark - i'm not sure i'll relax until I get to 12 weeks...
I think my DD is the 15th June 2019 but I became pregnant immediately after stopping the mini pill (sorry, tmi) so it's a little uncertain. I've been following the thread for a little while and wondered if I could join? It's been super helpful to see that everyone gets similar symptoms. If possible, please could I also join the facebook group? Thanks Smile

rollerskaterdata · 14/10/2018 22:15

@OrcinusOrca I'm so so sorry to hear that hun, take care of yourself ☹️ xx
