June 2019 - The Early Birds

SassehMonsta · 19/09/2018 16:22

Hello there,

A new thread for those who are due in June 2019. The Early bird catches the worm! Or, in my case, the sickness.

Feel free to introduce yourselves and make yourself at home.

I'm Sarah, 28, and currently super-early into my pregnancy at 3+1. This will be my second child, and I have in the past, and currently still do, suffer from HG (severe morning sickness).

So come one, come all, let us start our journey with sticky thoughts! Welcome, to the June 19 bus!

Grumpy, gross post, talking about vomit.....

I had forgotten how much I hate early pregnancy. Sad I hate vomiting up whatever I eat, I hate being chained to a toilet, I hate not having energy to do what I love, and I hate not being able to concentrate.

I also remember why I shouldn't drink cooled water, as when you throw up it feels nasty when mixing with the warm stomach contents.

I can't wait to be over this part. Or the weekend. Or just until 2pm so I can go home!

Thanks @PurrMaid and @MadeInCornwallx3, I dated myself as 6+3 based on my LMP and 27 day cycles so only 1 day behind where I thought I was. They measure based on 28 day cycles and I'm spot on for that so can't complain! It was over so quickly, I keep picturing my little bean in my head. DH was there and was he was super happy and emotional which was so sweet

OrcinusOrca · 11/10/2018 13:18

Oh gosh I didn't know you have to see midwives in a different area if you choose to give birth elsewhere?!

I work in the NHS and don't want to choose my workplace, but I was expecting a local midwife...my place is really good but I just don't want to have it all at work, I want some distance really.

Talking of flu jabs I had mine yesterday at work (standard freebie if your an NHS employee) and despite being fine with needles it hurt quite a bit, my arm is really tender still, my colleague felt the same way too.

Hello I’m really far behind and can’t keep track of everyone but hello all new joiners! I’ve just hit 6 weeks and my only symptoms are cramping, sore boobs and a bit of back ache (this might be from walking though). I know morning sickness sounds awful but I’m worried about not having it as everyone else is!

@Littlemissamy I would definitely call your midwife as she might be able to bring your appointment forward. How far along are you now? Try to take each day as it comes. Every day reduces the chance of mc. There is nothing you can do now to influence the outcome, you’ve just got to let your body do it’s thing. I am anxious about it too so in my mind I’m not getting excited about it at all yet, but one thing I check every few days is this website which shows you the % chance of mc which goes down by a whole percent every day pretty much.

@rollerskaterdata - fabulous news!! So glad it went well for you!!

@littlemissamy - you poor thing. I have suffered with my mental health in the past, and know how frightening big things like this can be. Sending you strength and positive thoughts. I hope you get some reassurance from your midwife.

LivingOnAPear · 11/10/2018 14:13

@OrcinusOrca
It might be different in your area as it seems to be a new thing here. Lots of people in my town avoid our town’s hospital as it has a bad rep but I’m pretty sure they saw local midwives.

beardotdo · 11/10/2018 14:43

@littlemissamy I can really empathise with how you’re feeling. My mental health was awful during the pregnancy with my DTs. I still struggle now, but nowhere near as much as I did during that time. I’d definitely give your midwife a call and explain, fingers crossed they’ll be able to help.

I’m so bloated today. And I’ve felt nauseous all day, but no actual vomit thankfully. I went to Tesco earlier and all I saw were newborn babies, hoping it’s some kind of sign (I’ll take anything right now)! I’ve decided I’m going to book a scan for 8 weeks. 2 weeks to go.

OrcinusOrca · 11/10/2018 14:56

How soon have you all contacted your GP to register with a midwife or contacted community ones? I feel like I should wait a while just in case something goes wrong...

Blondcat · 11/10/2018 15:29

@orcinusorcha I phoned the day I got my bfp 3weeks 6days some places you won't be seen until 8 weeks some they like to see you early as you want. I am going at 7 + 2 but went at 5+4 in March she picked up I had high blood pressure which meant I needed to see my gp so earlier the better in my case. I am monitoring it myself this time with home BP monitor and if starts going up will see gp before mw. If it sadly does go wrong you can cancel but at least gp will have loss on your record so will be there if you need record in future.

Torsz · 11/10/2018 16:04

@OrcinusOrca I waited until just before 6 weeks then completed an online form - they phoned and booked me in for 8+5, think it's normally after 8 weeks here. I had been counting down to my scan but now counting down to the mw instead 😂

Azure83 · 11/10/2018 16:07

@MadeInCornwallx3 I'm Rh Negative as well, ds1 is not so I remember having one shot towards the end of the pregnancy and one after the birth.. I think? My memory is so shit nowadays.. Is it even more shots with dc2?

MadeInCornwallx3 · 11/10/2018 16:11

@Azure83 I think it's the same each time. I can't remember now if I had one or two in pregnancy 🙈 Both dc's are RH - too so I didn't need them in the end though.

DH is positive though so I have to keep having them just in case this one takes after him.

CollyWombles · 11/10/2018 16:24

Hello all, tentatively posting as I'm still two days away from AF, however two strong BFP's, not even with FMU. My due date would be 15 June from my LMP.

I have four children already, ages 13,12,10 and 9 so there is going to be some age gap. This baby will be my DH's First and my Fifth.

Only signs I've had so far are ridiculously sore boobs and sticky discharge. I had a miscarriage in June, so this is an unexpected rainbow baby. Hope everyone is doing okay and looking after themselves!

PurrMaid · 11/10/2018 17:13

@stellarfox If it puts your mind at ease a bit, I’m 6+2 and still no sickness! Slight queasiness during the day but that’s just usually when I’m getting hungry. Not saying I want to be throwing up all day, but I’d feel a bit more pregnant if I did!

coles85 · 11/10/2018 17:15

I've been lurking for a while, but decided to join in! I got my first positive last Friday (well actually it was Thursday but I binned it too early and didn't notice it was a + until Friday's was +) This was my first month TTC since coming off the pill at the end of Aug, so I think I'm about 5 weeks 2 days? Apparently this gives me an 11 June due date!

Not told anyone other than my partner, as I don't want to jinx it.

However, my booking in appointment isn't until the last week in Nov and scan first week Dec! That makes my booking week 12 and scan week 13! soooooooooo far away!

Best of luck to everyone else!!

stellarfox · 11/10/2018 17:40

@PurrMaid I totally understand! I don’t want to feel sick, but I want a normal pregnancy and it seems strange not having it when most people do! I have definitely been feeling weird and a bit off my food, but I still ate a lot of blueberry pancakes this morning Grin

pollykins151 · 11/10/2018 18:13

I don't have any symptoms aside from lots of wees and being very tired. I never had morning sickness last time. Apart from a few occasions after some vigorous tooth brushing. I have today caved and booked an early scan for when I will be 9+6. I went for quite late as I think that was when I had my last private one last time and could see little arm and leg buds waving at me hehe. Still going to ask at doctors next week about an early one due to continued light bleeding. Won't hurt.

Kescilly · 11/10/2018 18:23

Hello @Blondcat and congrats again! So pleased to see you here. Also congrats to our newbies, I can barely keep up!

I'm glad to hear that not everyone has nausea. The lack of symptoms makes me feel like I'm not really pregnant.

I was thinking about redoing our list by EDD, what do you guys think? I'd just need to get to my laptop.

OrcinusOrca · 11/10/2018 18:27

That would be super @Kescilly my laptop is in for repair and I only have the work one at home. Even if I'm not signed in remotely they can still see what I access so I dare not MN from anything but my phone..!

Azure83 · 11/10/2018 18:43

Still no proper symptoms here either! Although I've skipped the butchers today as the thought of going there made me feel a bit queasy..

jacquejacque · 11/10/2018 18:48

I'm having a bit of a wobble this afternoon - has some mild but persistent cramping that felt like period pain. Came straight home and got in the bath and it's been on and off ever since, I feel like it's getting a bit stronger although it's not painful iykwim. Sad Had a bit of a cry on DH and now sat in bed worrying.

GreenDill · 11/10/2018 19:04

Hi all and congratulations to everyone!

Can I join? I’m 4+1 today going by my LMP so EDD is 19th June. Already called and booked myself in for an early scan at 6+1 at local hospital due to 5 previous early miscarriages, 1 late miscarriage and 1 stillborn. I do have my amazing DD who’s 5 so I feel so very lucky, but also incredibly anxious. Every little twinge and my stomach sinks but trying to stay sane and calm!

Symptom wise I feel pretty normal except abit queasy.

OrcinusOrca · 11/10/2018 19:12

@jacquejacque my cramping is really bad today too. Had to have some paracetamol and a hot water bottle. Now in the bath. Mine comes and goes but I also swear it's stronger than previously. Hoping my pain threshold is just pants! Hang in there lovely, hopefully it's just one of those days.

Welcome aboard @GreenDill

jacquejacque · 11/10/2018 19:14

@OrcinusOrca oh poor you - it's rubbish isn't it? DH is making me quorn nuggets and oven chips and bringing them to me in bed Grin

jacquejacque · 11/10/2018 19:16

Welcome @GreenDill and congratulations! You have been through the mill haven't you, you poor love. Wishing you lots of positivity and an easy journey xx
