June 2019 - The Early Birds

Hello there,

A new thread for those who are due in June 2019. The Early bird catches the worm! Or, in my case, the sickness.

Feel free to introduce yourselves and make yourself at home.

I'm Sarah, 28, and currently super-early into my pregnancy at 3+1. This will be my second child, and I have in the past, and currently still do, suffer from HG (severe morning sickness).

So come one, come all, let us start our journey with sticky thoughts! Welcome, to the June 19 bus!

In Bristol they do booking in appointments from 8 weeks onwards - you can register beforehand but the appointment won't be until 8 weeks.

Ithinkthatsenough · 08/10/2018 20:31

Torn about early scan..i had a very bad experience of mmc post 12 week scan having had a previously “ perfect” scan. Dont want to worry anyone, but these things happen.
6 weeks tomorrow. Havent phoned mw yet, will do if i get to 7 weeks. Just trying to get on with everyday stuff and not worry too much, easier said than done..
I have a farm, horses etc ,regularly lift bales of hay, shaving animal feeds and did so when pg with other dc’s,never any problems as i was fit to begin with. Depends what you are used to i suppose. Took more care when i got bigger obviously but early days i just kept going as normal as long as i felt ok x

Kescilly · 08/10/2018 20:32

I made an appointment and she didn’t even ask how far along I’d be. I think I’ll be around 8-9 weeks for my first appointment.

Sorry about the unsupportive moms. We worry about miscarriage enough without someone making us feel responsible for one! We’ve only told my parents so far but as they are in the medical field, they are realistic about the chances of miscarriage and don’t insult my BMI (which is unfortunately too high).

We are seeing my in-laws next weekend but I don’t want to tell them yet. Does that seem too unfair? I feel like they would be more invested so would rather tell them once we know it’s a viable pregnancy.

PurrMaid · 08/10/2018 20:49

@Napssavelives I went to see the doctor last Monday when I was 4+6, and they’ve booked me in to see the midwife in 2 weeks at 7+6 😀

carlyb · 08/10/2018 20:59

I'm on the early scan train too...had a mmc at 8+4 this time last year...I didn't know until 12 wk scan so I am so nervous about the scan this time round so tempted with a 9 wk scan to hopefully put my mind at ease.

Iswallowtoothpaste · 08/10/2018 21:09

I’ve got an appointment through for the 23rd of October - haven’t worked out how far along il be but I’m guessing 8-9 weeks.

My mum is just a horrible, judgemental arsehole at times. She goes to church every Sunday, is a perfect size 8 and is good at lecturing everybody about what they should and shouldn’t be doing. It really grates on me if I’m honest!

@Ithinkthatsenough I’m on a farm too! I was pulling some fat lambs out of briers today that had managed to get stuck and DP went nuts when he found out! Said i shouldn’t have been chewing on but I felt ok haha and similarly will be chucking small bale hay/bags of sheep cake about when the time comes. Hoping my favourite cow is in calf and that we’ll have our babies around the same time. How sad is that?!

Ithinkthatsenough · 08/10/2018 21:23

Hahaha! Proper farmer syncing birth with the animals!😂
Good to keep active i think, for the mind and body!! Worrying can take up so much headspace! X

Iswallowtoothpaste · 08/10/2018 21:27

@Ithinkthatsenough, definitely keeps you busy and your mind off what could go wrong! Are you a crazy by any chance? As in The Crazy Life of a Farmer’s Wife?

MadeInCornwallx3 · 08/10/2018 22:01

Farm Life sounds amazing! Love it 😂

I do t heavy lift in my job but my 2.5 yo wants lifting all the time and she's pretty heavy!

Good luck to all those having their early scams soon. Can't wait to hear how they all go and wishing all the luck in the world. I feel like waiting for Nov 3rd for mine is so so so long away!

Napssavelives · 09/10/2018 04:45

So I’ve woke up at 0430 and I need to pee. Wanted to check fmu to check lines we’re getting a bit darker on frer. I only found out on Sunday with mid afternoon wee. Bit obsessive right! I’m sure I can see some change! I’m insane .

Napssavelives · 09/10/2018 04:47

And now I’m obviously comparing the tests, however the photo from Sunday’s test when wet was much fainter so going to try chill out a bit !

stellarfox · 09/10/2018 04:51

Hello new people! Sorry I’m a bit behind as on holiday. My cramps have mostly gone now except a very light feeling. I still have tender breasts but that’s about it! A bit of back ache but we’ve also done a lot of walking. I drove on the wrong side of the road (in the US) for the first time today which was terrifying!

@Pollykins you can definitely get an early scan if you think it might ease your concerns. I rang my doctor because I was having some pain (no bleeding) and she sent me for a scan straight away. Don’t be afraid of raising your concerns! Although if you had with previous pregnancy hopefully it’s just the same again fingers crossed!

@Torsz I’m in Bristol too! :)

Napssavelives · 09/10/2018 05:25

@stellarfox me too!

Torsz · 09/10/2018 05:55

@stellarfox whereabouts are you? I'm in brentry, couple of miles from Cribbs ☺️

Torsz · 09/10/2018 05:55

@napssavelives was your post about being in Bristol?x

Napssavelives · 09/10/2018 06:13

Yep :)

Torsz · 09/10/2018 06:20

Awesome ☺️ where are you? It's comforting having other people nearby in the same situation!

Littlemissamy · 09/10/2018 06:37

How are we all diddling this morning? I’ve been awake since 4, yet again rolls eyes
The sickness has truly hit - the only thing I can seem to stomach is ready salted crisps, a lovely healthy diet Grin
I’m still 2 weeks away from my midwife appointment, after so much heartache I’m convinced the insomnia is anxiety related. Any ideas on how I can make myself feel better?

Napssavelives · 09/10/2018 06:41

@torsz don’t what to out myself so rather not say!

@littlemissamy can you take the increase in sickness as a good sign? A sigh that hormones are a plenty and things are progressing nicely?

I’m tired this morning, didn’t get back offnsince 430 when I woke to pee

Sosie91 · 09/10/2018 06:47

Hi everyone :) Can I join?
According to my pregnancy tracker I’m due on the 6th June.
This is my third (Aaaaarghh) and I have two little girls (6 and 3).
Feeeling very sick at the minute and I’m so tired. Hope you are all okay xx

Littlemissamy · 09/10/2018 07:13

I wish I could take it as a good sign, my HG was very much there when I had my MMC, so it’s not really reassuring any more.
I keep waking up remembering the scan room, and having dreams that it’s happening again. I just want to hibernate until June.

Napssavelives · 09/10/2018 07:29

@littlemissamy I’m sorry, that sounds so difficult. Maybe your midwives can get you an early scan which could help. It’s such an anxious time anyway, never mind when you’ve suffered a loss before

BeautifulBlue · 09/10/2018 08:40

6+2 here, feeling ok. Got an appointment in an hour & a 1 year old to drag along who will be bored so ask me again at lunch time Grin hope everyone's doing well!

BeautifulBlue · 09/10/2018 08:41

Non pregnancy related appointment! Have my first in 2 weeks today with the midwife at 8+2!

Azure83 · 09/10/2018 08:42

Morning everyone and welcome to all the newbies!
5+2 today and still symptomless so sympathise with others who mentioned the same yesterday. If it wasn't for the lack of period (and the bfp) I wouldn't think I was pregnant. We are planning on doing Harmony test at 10/11 weeks and that comes with a scan so I can't justify another private scan even earlier. I just need to accept that no news is good news for now!
