June 2019 - The Early Birds

SassehMonsta · 19/09/2018 16:22

Hello there,

A new thread for those who are due in June 2019. The Early bird catches the worm! Or, in my case, the sickness.

Feel free to introduce yourselves and make yourself at home.

I'm Sarah, 28, and currently super-early into my pregnancy at 3+1. This will be my second child, and I have in the past, and currently still do, suffer from HG (severe morning sickness).

So come one, come all, let us start our journey with sticky thoughts! Welcome, to the June 19 bus!

I have sore boobs and starving all the time and just need sugar

Wingingit3211 · 07/10/2018 17:20

Joining! Got my bfp today. Cd28 after ttc#3 for 10 months with pcos. Over the moon! I feel fine at the min :)

rollerskaterdata · 07/10/2018 18:23

@Beautifulblue ha ha your OH must be loving it! I'm 6 weeks tomorrow and the total opposite! Poor DH is sex starved and is all over me but I'm just not interested! This happened to me last pregnancy as well, we only DTD twice that 9 months 🙈🤦‍♀️

pollykins151 · 07/10/2018 19:04

@rollerskaterdata twice more than we did 😂😂 I think it was a long old 9 months for OH. he works nights though and I work days so we don't see each other all that much. (Which makes it all the more surprising I got this bfp!! Though that was due to there not being much to do on a caravan holiday 😂😂

jacquejacque · 07/10/2018 19:09

@Beautifulblue your lucky DH! I am currently only 4+3 but am having very, ahem, romantic dreams. And the leading men have not been your traditional heartthrobs. Confused

Today I feel less frightened and stressed but - my GOD - do I have wind. I've been convinced over the past couple of days that I was losing the baby, having another chemical, etc. It's just gas. (Well I hope it is, anyway)

My test line is now slightly darker than the control, which I'm taking as a good thing.

Beautifulblue · 07/10/2018 21:16

@jacquejacque
And the leading men have not been your traditional heartthrobs.

Lol! Same Blush

SockQueen · 07/10/2018 21:25

Had a message from a friend today asking if I was likely to want to borrow her carrycot again at some point (we have the same travel system base) as her youngest has grown out of it now. So I thought it was a good moment to tell her! I still haven't told my parents but they're visiting on Wednesday so hopefully will do then, I prefer to do it face to face.

Minimal symptoms here still, occasional waves of nausea, moderately sore boobs and the odd cramp. IIRC the sickness kicked in around 6-7 weeks last time so we'll just wait and see.

rollerskaterdata · 07/10/2018 22:26

@pollykins151 😂 glad I'm not the only one! I feel really bad for DH actually, and he's so good about it he won't ever complain. I think I need to get creative in that department if I'm not up for the full deed and try and do better than last pregnancy! It's just so hard when I'm constantly so nauseous, tired and bloated 🤢

SassehMonsta · 08/10/2018 06:10

The nausea is back full force again. I am dreading having to drive everyone to work/nursery today as driving makes me.worse. I will be taking a sick bag.

Well I done a test with dp and it positive. Got a lot going on as I have a medical problem so first step is contacting my consultant.
We were trying for 16months then stopped through my health went on pill was waiting for period and it obviously hasn't come. Baby is due around 15th June and our wedding is booked for 22nd 😩

LivingOnAPear · 08/10/2018 09:03

Welcome newbies !

@beautifulblue I seem to have most of the same symptoms as you. Horny, vivid dreams etc.

Still awake every morning at 3 Am and hungry for carbs all the time.

Had lots of stabbing pains this weekend so been obsessively running to loo to check for bleeding. It’s going to be a long few weeks.

Also can’t stop weeing and feel like I have a UTI. Has anyone else had one when pregnant?

Haven’t told anyone except my dh but mil guessed this weekend and asked him. He said he denied it. With my dd my dh announced it to a massive group of friends in the pub when I was 6 weeks but was so drunk that he forgot he told them. So he’s been warned against attempting anything similar.

LivingOnAPear · 08/10/2018 09:10

@SassehMonsta
Hope you survived the drop offs. It sounds awful. Just wondered Were you given anything to stop the nausea in previous pregnancies? I’m feeling ok at the moment but expecting it to kick in next week which is also when I start a new job. I used the travel sickness wrist bands and peppermint oil last time but it wasn’t 100% effective.

MadeInCornwallx3 · 08/10/2018 09:27

Morning!

@chipsandburger That is so close to the wedding! What are you going to do? I put my wedding back a year when I found out I was pregnant with my first, I would have been 8 months gone.

@SassehMonsta That sounds awful 😟 I have a bit of morning sickness with my first two so kinda waiting on it to arrive. Hope you feel better.

I finally got my 3+! Yay! 5+1 so happy with that. Feeling super twingy/light cramps so definitely know something's going on haha 😂

Ksjourney · 08/10/2018 09:39

I truly feel for you @SassehMonsta. Misery loves company and I am really struggling.

I tried apple cider vinegar last night (few sips in lemon and water).I woke up feeling less sick and able to function 👍 been going down hill ever since and can not bring myself to drink it again as the smell is awful. Wondering if I can get more creative than water (apple or orange juice maybe) anyway maybe it will work for you?

@LivingOnAPear last pregnancy I lived in sickness bands (DH will grab me some today) I also took antiemetic medicine prochlorperazine (going to speak to my GP about this if I can get an appointment this week) 🤞

You are all going to get fed up with my sickness posts lol! Sorry in advance.

fee1234 · 08/10/2018 09:50

@LivingOnAPear I'm 6 weeks today and I've had a UTI since last week. Went to docs and they put me on Cefelexin which seems to be helping (and safe to take while pg). They said you are more prone to UTIs when pregnant.

Hope it clears up soon, I know what it feels like 😩

SassehMonsta · 08/10/2018 10:11

@livingonaPear - I had HG in previous pregnancy. The vomiting has started, and I am going home from work to rest on HRs suggestion. I'm on Stemtil and it seems to have helped so far! If I become dehydrated I have ice lollies in the freezer for sugar without irritating the stomach.
6+5 today

@MadeInCornwallx3 we are rearranging the wedding.

I've spoke to my consultant and he said no problems for pregnancy. We've also told DP mum.

I feel so bloated today, constantly needing a wee and feel so nauseous.

I also keep thinking my period will come and I'm not pregnant hope that feeling goes soon and it sinks in.

Mrsssmith11 · 08/10/2018 12:41

5+3 today and the nausea has really kicked in today. Currently eating my lunch very very slowly. I went to the shop and bought rich tea biscuits to keep beside the bed. I ate one before I even moved in the morning when I was pregnant with DD and it really helped.

I am very happy to be pregnant after having a mc earlier this year, but forgot how bad this bit is.

seastargirl · 08/10/2018 12:55

Hi,

Can I join in, I got my bfp Friday and as I'm still getting them and they're getting darker I'm starting to believe it! I'd be due 17/06 but will be having a section a couple of weeks early due to previous issues.

This will be DC 3, I have a 5 and 6 year old and had a mm last year.

Only 4 weeks but the waves of nausea have started, if it stays like this I'll be happy rather than the constant nausea and vomiting of all other pregnancies!

Iswallowtoothpaste · 08/10/2018 13:11

I’m only really being sick on a morning as soon as I wake up. I start wrenching and that’s it. I sometimes feel sick for a couple of minutes throughout the day, especially if I’ve gone too long without eating. Kinda dreading this week as with the two pregnancies that have gotten this far I’ve spotted with both in the sixth week so am expecting to do so this week too.

Stormwhale · 08/10/2018 13:48

Hi to the newbies!

5+6 here, rather dizzy and nauseous and everything tastes weird. Also boobs are so bloody sore. I didn't have this with dd, boobs were huge, but not at all sore. Every time the duvet brushed them in the night I woke up in pain. Ouch.

@chipsandburger - I felt like that last week. I kept cramping and was sure af would arrive.

hopefulbabydust123 · 08/10/2018 14:17

Just wondering if people have told their workplace yet? I work in a hotel kitchen as a general assistant (basically pot wash and cleaning up after the chefs lol) and haven't told the person in charge yet but have been thinking I'm going to need to soon because I can't do stuff like run around like a headless chicken or lift heavy things like I used to. Also thinking they may have to do risk assessments? I'm really nervous to tell them 😖

Mrsssmith11 · 08/10/2018 14:24

@hopefulbabydust123 No I haven't told my work yet. To be fair though I sit at a desk all day, quite different to what you do. I probably won't tell them until after my scan.

I haven't told anyone yet, only hubby knows and you guys.

I am going out with a friend for lunch on Saturday, it's a byob place, so she will totally know when I turn up without a bottle of prosecco or some cider.

Torsz · 08/10/2018 14:33

I’ve told the head of my department, but only because she’s new and pregnant, and I started my job a couple of days after finding out. It’s nice to have someone in the same position!

hopefulbabydust123 · 08/10/2018 14:38

Do you think I should tell them soon due to the job being very active?
