June 2019 - The Early Birds

SassehMonsta · 19/09/2018 16:22

Hello there,

A new thread for those who are due in June 2019. The Early bird catches the worm! Or, in my case, the sickness.

Feel free to introduce yourselves and make yourself at home.

I'm Sarah, 28, and currently super-early into my pregnancy at 3+1. This will be my second child, and I have in the past, and currently still do, suffer from HG (severe morning sickness).

So come one, come all, let us start our journey with sticky thoughts! Welcome, to the June 19 bus!

@AnitaPage my logic is to tell whoever you would want supporting you if it didn't work out. For me that's my immediate family and my gran, I've told them and I'm only 5+5.

Beautifulblue · 06/10/2018 17:03

@Completelyclueless33 congrats & welcome! Don't panic too much, everyone is shocked/over whelmed at first! You have 9 months to get your head round it Wink I'm from Sussex... your not missing much it's pi**ing it down!!

Kescilly · 06/10/2018 18:22

@Completelyclueless33 I’m right there with you. I actually debated if I still wanted children after I moved to the UK. It’s hard to leave that support system behind and also know that my parents will see their other grandchildren much more.

I’ve started meeting a few people here though, and hopefully you will in your new area too. I think being a mom could open up all sorts of new social opportunities!

jacquejacque · 06/10/2018 19:05

Does anyone else have hip/back pain? It's similar to a stitch but all in my hip and lower back Confused

Torsz · 06/10/2018 19:06

I told my best friend today for the same reason - I want her to be happy with me but also to be there if it doesn’t work out.

My sense of smell has definitely got a lot more keen - the smell of pizza was making me gag tonight 😂

jacquejacque · 06/10/2018 19:12

@Torsz good god, pizza?? Let's hope that particular symptom buggers off sharpish!

Torsz · 06/10/2018 19:16

@jacquejacque Don’t worry, I had Chinese instead and that definitely didn’t make me feel sick 😂

Very strange though, I normally have a real sweet tooth but I can’t stand the thought of chocolate, cake, sweets etc! My body just wants fruit and veg (...and chow mein!!)

fee1234 · 06/10/2018 19:19

I weighed myself and I'm actually down a pound since finding out I'm pregnant. The smell of everything I used to love puts me off, the only thing I could eat non stop is pancakes.

beardotdo · 06/10/2018 19:47

@torsz I’m exactly the same. Have the sweetest tooth going but right now all I fancy is broccoli!

Struggling with the early pregnancy anxiety here too; I hate it.

BetsyBoo100 · 06/10/2018 21:24

4 weeks and 5 days here and already the underwire on my bra is digging in! Not been eating more or anything. Think this happened early on during my first pregnancy as well. Is anyone else experiencing similar?

BetsyBoo100 · 06/10/2018 21:26

@clueless congratulations! Try not to panic - I know how you feel 100% though. I caught in the first cycle for DS1 first time and again this time round. It really caught me off guard both times and I definitely went through a period of shock where I didn't sleep well.

Completelyclueless33 · 06/10/2018 21:39

Aw thanks for your replies! Makes me feel a bit better knowing I’m not the only one. I also have the metallic taste, along with sore boobs, nausea and heartburn. Craving spinach of all things! We’ve told both sets of parents and my best friend, they’re all very happy but I think it’s made the anxiety worse! Crazy, exciting times! Good luck everyone! Smile xxx

Cookiecrumble88 · 07/10/2018 02:05

Hi, can I join I'm currently 5 weeks + 1 with dc3. Due date of 08 June. My partner had a vasectomy back in April. We are over the moon even though a little shocked. I have been feeling really anxious that it's to good to be true and something is going to go wrong. I have no real symptoms slightly sore boobs, Slight nausea when hungry, vived dreams every night and insomnia which may be due to the anxiety.

Cookiecrumble88 · 07/10/2018 02:06

Forgot to add the bloating and constipation look around 6 months gone already lol

SassehMonsta · 07/10/2018 06:02

Welcome to new faces! Sorry to hear you have had some bleeding Rancho, fingers crossed it's just a small amount xx

I was so tiired I had to take a nap yesterday afternoon, then was in bed by 7.30. Doesn't help that DD keeps trying to get up at 5.30am! Today I managed to send her back to bed.

I have purchased a bralette or 2 from Primark and Marks.and Spencer. They are very comfy and no under wir8ng. The M&S one you have to pull on though so I'm not best impressed, but the Primark one has 5 clips!!! Good support when they swell even more.

I have a say out with my parents today. Could be interesting, as we haven't told them yet.

@anitapage - I have told dh, my best friend and my cousin. I had to tell my cousin as we had planned a trip to Thorpe park and that is obviously off the cards now. Everyone else we will tell after our early scan at 7+1.

thatsoccerchick · 07/10/2018 08:46

@ranchorelaxo So sorry to hear that. Look after yourself.

Welcome to new ladies. I've told my mom already but that's it. A few v close friends knew I was due to test but my phone has broken (arg) so I'm off WhatsApp for the time being.

I have super smell and headaches and have definitely gone off sweets too. I am craving anything salty or really juicy fruits like raspberries. On and off nausea as well, which feels so early considering I'm only 4+2.

Ksjourney · 07/10/2018 08:54

So don't not think I've escaped the HG. Had it with my first and I felt awful yesterday and feel awful today. Hopefully it is not as bad this time around.... no idea how I'm going to get through work next week. 🤢

Feel for all you newmums with symptoms Thanks

Beautifulblue · 07/10/2018 13:37

New symptoms at 6 weeks today:
Thirsty. All. The. Time.
Extremely high sex drive Blush
Vivid dreams mostly about sex Blush
Very wet (down there) Blush
It's all very embarrassing...

Ksjourney · 07/10/2018 13:46

Haha @Beautifulblue hopefully you have a sympathetic OH. I think mines too worried I will be sick all over him. Not to mention that I also look hideous.

Beautifulblue · 07/10/2018 13:47

@Ksjourney I wish I hadn't mentioned it, he keeps trying it on I'm just trying to garden 🤣🤣

Mummytomollyandbean · 07/10/2018 13:56

Haha love that @Beautifulblue

Had my first maternity appointment this morning! Went on for over an hour which I didn't expect given its my 2nd baby. All good, had my bloods done and been referred for the cvs test and to be booked in for my 12 week scan.

Hope you are all having a good weekend.

Azure83 · 07/10/2018 15:26

5 weeks today and still pretty much no symptoms here! It was similar with ds1 but I'm pretty sure by now my boobs were very sensitive so that was something. I had my first scan scheduled for end of Nov, I'll be almost 13 by then which seems quite late and also a reeeeeally long time to wait.

Kescilly · 07/10/2018 16:05

I have the super smell (or just average smell, usually I can’t smell much. I have ow level nausea that comes and goes, but nothing too strong. The worst is how my breasts immediately got bigger! I feel so naive but I didn’t think I’d need a new bra until the end of the pregnancy. I think I will check out Peacocks and M&S because I’m so uncomfortable all the time.

chipsandburger · 07/10/2018 16:23

I tested today 2 days after period was due it was positive. This will be my Dc3 and DP's DC2 (he also has a 14 yr old)
