June 2019 - The Early Birds

Hello there,

A new thread for those who are due in June 2019. The Early bird catches the worm! Or, in my case, the sickness.

Feel free to introduce yourselves and make yourself at home.

I'm Sarah, 28, and currently super-early into my pregnancy at 3+1. This will be my second child, and I have in the past, and currently still do, suffer from HG (severe morning sickness).

So come one, come all, let us start our journey with sticky thoughts! Welcome, to the June 19 bus!

Hi everyone, had my BFP last week and according to my LMP, I’m due the 1st of June ish.

I say ish because unfortunately I had to have an ERPC at the end of June at 10 weeks (baby measured 9+3). It was my second loss consecutively (more than two years between them) so I’m hoping and praying that history doesn’t repeat itself.

Beautifulblue · 02/10/2018 08:04

Got my 3+ this morning at 5+2. Phew! Smile

@SassehMonsta @fee1234 Ugh right with you both on the insomnia. I was awake 1-3 and then toddler was up at 6. Also feeling crappy with suspected HFM (again, thanks toddler) so not sure why I'm struggling into work today Shock

Mummytomollyandbean · 02/10/2018 08:33

@ButtonTum I feel your pain my toddler has HFM as well!

stellarfox · 02/10/2018 08:50

Yay four of us in 6th June club! 😄

Have any of you arranged appointments with a midwife yet? I had to fill in a form at my doctors and a midwife will get in touch with me to arrange, but I’m away on Friday for just less than 3 weeks!

Kescilly · 02/10/2018 08:57

Hooray @BeautifulBlue! I got my 3+ this morning too, but it was the first time I took one of those with the weeks indicator. LMP puts me at 5 but I suspect I’m more like 5+2.

I am still unclear on what to do re: making appointments. So for now I have an appointment with a GP next week to ask about medication.

Has anyone here told anyone yet? Or just SO’s?

Stormwhale · 02/10/2018 09:17

Yay for the 3+ women!

I daren't test any more as I will be distraught if it doesn't look right.

My god pregnancy for me is not glamourous at all. I'm not a glowy type of pregnant woman. I am a bloated, farting and burping, upset stomach, fainting and sick type of pregnant woman with greasy hair and spots. I feel gross.

Stormwhale · 02/10/2018 09:18

@kescilly we haven't told anyone yet. I want dd to be the first to know so we are having a reassurance/viability scan after 7 weeks and will start telling people then if all is ok.

MadeInCornwallx3 · 02/10/2018 09:54

Yay @Beautifulblue told you it would be fine! I'm 4+2 today but think I will go earlier than the 9th Jun that gives me. Both my previous pregnancies have been dated earlier at 12 weeks despite me knowing conception date and both were born a day early anyway.

Haven't done a digital yet (still only done one test!) but may do in a few days. Grin

I'm also always worrying about symptoms, keep poking my boobs! I look like a crazy woman haha 🤣

fee1234 · 02/10/2018 09:54

@Kescilly I've told my mum, dad and sister. I only wanted my mum to know but she basically made me tell them because she was dying to say something!

We are quite close and if it didn't work out I would want their support anyway so I guess that was my logic for telling them.

Azure83 · 02/10/2018 09:55

@stellarfox where we live you can self-refer to the maternity team, no need to see a GP. I've done a referral online over the weekend, here they advise to contact them asap so all the appointments and scans can be booked.

SockQueen · 02/10/2018 10:30

I called my GP to check yesterday and they get you to fill in a form to self-refer to the midwife. I'm finishing my nights tomorrow so might go then or on Thursday, depending on how tired I am!

I haven't told anyone except DH (and internet friends!) yet. I'd like to tell my parents face-to-face so need to arrange a visit in the next few weeks. My sister lives abroad so will probably have to tell her by phone/WhatsApp.

Ksjourney · 02/10/2018 10:31

5 of us! 6th June is looking to be a busy due date! @Mummytomollyandbean @RanchoRelaxo @stellarfox @Littlemissamy

ButtonTum · 02/10/2018 10:31

@mummytomollyandbean Miserable isnt it. I also feel shattered and achy and cant work out if this is early symptoms or illness :(

Ksjourney · 02/10/2018 10:33

I had HG with my DD. 4 months 24/7 it was awful. I can really feel for you going through it twice. Here's hoping we both have an easier time of it this time around!! So far so good for me... thank goodness 🤞

CatRen27 · 02/10/2018 10:44

Ive told a bunch of friends who I'd told all about the ivf treatment so felt strange not giving them the outcome. I haven't had my 'confirmation' blood test yet with the clinic so will tell my parents and brother then. Not sure when to tell dd (3yo). I'd quite like to know the sex when i tell her as she's going to want it to be a girl and I'll need to quash that pretty quickly if it's a boy. Don't want any false hope there! And of course will wait until we're sure it's viable. Eek!

Kescilly · 02/10/2018 10:45

My family lives in the US and we were visiting last week so we told my parents. They know the risk of miscarriage so aren't getting their hopes up too much yet. I didn't want to tell anyone else yet so everyone else will have to be over FaceTime/WhatsApp if we make it that far.

I really didn't want to tell anyone for a few months but I don't know when I'll see my parents next.

ButtonTum · 02/10/2018 11:02

@kescilly I bet your parents were delighted to hear the news though?

I've only told my sister (who is 6 days overdue with her first baby) so far. I will have to tell friends as we are going away for a weekend next week and it will be obvious when I am not hitting the booze like normal... I'll only be 6 weeks though so didn't really want to tell people that early.

mussie · 02/10/2018 11:08

Haven't told anyone except obviously DH so far, was hoping to get to at least 8 weeks and have a viability scan first. But we'll be seeing DH's family for a wedding at 7+5, so we've decided to just tell them early, seeing as everyone will be together and it will be lovely.

Something of a sticking point in my plans is that I've had some bleeding overnight! Brown rather than red, and quite light, and it's stopped already. Spoke to the EPU and they've said to just keep an eye. But still not really had any pregnancy symptoms except slightly tender boobs, so it's not looking ideal. I'll just have to see how it pans out. Hopefully it's nothing!

Beautifulblue · 02/10/2018 11:09

I've told my parents & sister, OH has told his parents. Same reasons really, they'll know if any goes wrong so I'm not worried about them knowing early. Everyone else will be after the 12 week scan though!

BetsyBoo100 · 02/10/2018 11:15

Hi all. Long time Mumsnet lurker first ever post!

I'm 29 and expecting DC2. I have an 18 month old DS. I have very short 24 day cycles and ov quite late but think I'm due 9th June. BFP yesterday!

Having cramps and hunger pangs. Don't remember the cramps being this uncomfortable first time round - maybe it's a second pregnancy thing?

Looking forward to sharing this journey with you all! Is there a Facebook group?

stellarfox · 02/10/2018 11:47

@Ksjourney sorry, five of us! 😊

I haven’t told anyone else except my partner yet. I think I might tell my sister this week and maybe a close friend or two but I want to wait until hopefully 8 weeks!

Welcome @BetsyBoo100 there is a Facebook group if you check back through the comments.

@Azure83 it’s funny how everywhere has different systems but I rang the doctors earlier just to let them know I’ll be away for a few weeks and she said I probably wouldn’t be contacted by a midwife until I’m 10 weeks 😔 If this is true I’m definitely going to pay for a viability scan before then!

Ksjourney · 02/10/2018 11:53

We took the same thought route as you @Beautifulblue told parents as they will know if anything happens anyway. My DD is 6 so we have no idea when to tell her as we don't want her to get her hopes up - does anyone have any experience of this?

Obviously the little ears are twitching and she is listening to everything (as kids do) .... so DH and I may have to agree some code words.

MadeInCornwallx3 · 02/10/2018 11:55

Welcome @BetsyBoo100 I'm also thinking June 9th at the moment!

I'm on my third 😮 - have a 4yo boy and a 2yo girl already.

I'd also like to join the FB group - how do I do that?

@mussie I'm sure light bleeding is fairly normal - try not to worry too much (brown is a good sign too). Fingers and toes crossed for you.

Mummytomollyandbean · 02/10/2018 12:10

@ButtonTum me too, I'm so achy! Praying it isn't HFM!
