I’m wishing I could stay seated all the time as when I’m standing I have an awful horrible sensation down below Confused

justtowarm · 27/09/2018 08:53

@Lila99 me to standing is horrible, i get s really heavy sensation, back and pelvis pain and this constant tightness on my bump! (All normal apparently) it's so uncomfortable!

My 2 year old is potty trained but can't pull his own trousers up and down yet and doing that (What seems like 5272514178 times a day) is killing me! I feel like I can't do anything at the moment. Hopefully all these babies come happily and healthily soon :)

meetthewildes · 27/09/2018 08:58

Fainted in the office - went down like a lead balloon. Full on drama including telephone conversations with the trusted family doctor in another country altogether, though this time they didn’t stick me in a taxi and bundle me off to the Portland (fortunately last time was at their expense!). Iron infusion has been ordered and will be scheduled for the next few days - I am looking forward to being less of a business risk! It’s doing my reputation approximately zero good to be visibly wilting when I need to appear capable.

I haven’t hit the hostile stage yet, thankfully, because I also can’t eat my way through it - all I want is ice! Delicious, crunchy, glacial ice.

unicornchaser · 27/09/2018 10:15

After a very uncomfortable day yesterday reading I'm not alone is a massive comfort!
I started getting super low pains, cramps and movements which make me nauseous and like I need to run to the toilet before I wet myself and they were constant throughout the day. Like in blocks of half hour segments then would ease off a bit then return.

I am hoping this means he is moving into the right place and hoping it means that something productive will happen in the next 4.5 weeks rather than me ending up overdue!!

Hope you are ok @meetthewildes and the infusion helps to stabilise you a bit!

Oh @meetthewildes hope you feel better soon! How scary for you.

@havetothink yes snacking is good 👍It's the one thing that can't annoy me lol

@justtowarm and @twobambinos thanks for the solidarity. It really does help me not feel like a monster.

Come on babies!

twobambinos · 27/09/2018 11:37

Oh @meetthewildes that sounds scary hope you are doing OK now. And that the iron gets sorted pronto.

@unicornchaser that sounds promising hope those niggles are doing some good work for you and will pay off when labour takes over.

@justtowarm can you get any easy to pull up pants or anything for your ds save you doing it?

I am exhausted my favourite saying at the moment. I need to get up now and face the world and I just do not have the energy Sad I could cry. For the second time today and its only 11.30

@midnight1983 you are not alone. And I second the suggestion of chocolate mentioned above if its not causing you heartburn. You would think that I would stop eating trigger foods.

Smithguy86 · 27/09/2018 12:13

I have 6 days to go to my section and it feels like forever! My bp was high yday so I have to go back again today if it's still high they are going to admit me so thinking all sorts of calming thoughts! The estimated weights of the twins are 7lbs 3oz and 6lbs 7oz so thank god I don't have to go to 40 weeks!!

Also have to get my second dose of steroids today last night was awful with the restlessness and awful heartburn!

Thinking of everyone that's getting it tough at the min we are all on the last hurdle!

justtowarm · 27/09/2018 17:02

Good thinking @twobambinos he can sometimes do it with jogging bottoms but he often try's to pull up his trousers before his pants and then gets really frustrated... we are working on it.

On an exciting note, I was super tired after the midwife and disappointed as she couldn't do a sweep as the consultant had not written in the notes... so I had a little nap. Woke up and have had two small bloody shows so hopefully labour may be on the way..... or I am just getting my hopes up again 🙈😂

twobambinos · 27/09/2018 17:09

@justtowarm no sweep here either I share your disappointment. I didn't get my hopes up too much though. At least the shows mean something is going on down there? There is hope.

Ya I think maybe try the looser trouser for him anything that makes life easier at the moment for yourself.

Smith guy those are great weights. Pretty similar to my first two but they were one at a time. I can't imagine carrying two around in the later stages. Are you all set for the delivery

Lila99 · 28/09/2018 07:22

Well the baby is fine just slightly petite but nothing to worry about, as are fluids so all good here. These sleepless nights are hard, especially that I’m still working. We moved the bedroom round to accommodate the cot so we had more room, and as a result I’m next to the wall and constantly getting up for the toilet I’m waking DP and we’re both tossing and turning all night Angry

meetthewildes · 28/09/2018 09:14

@unicornchaser @midnight1983 and @twobambinos thank you for being so sweet to me!

@smithguy86 hang on in there. The last few weeks with twins are INTENSE, but you are so close now. I hope that the next few days pass swiftly for you.

@justtowarm bloody shows sound promising! How are you today?

@lila99 oh I hear you on it being tricky to manage work and the sleeplessness. My only consolation at the moment is that it's more restful here than at home with four toddlers! I hope that you are surprised by an easier night tonight.

One of my two-year-olds likes to dramatically declare herself 'minished' whenever she has concluded with a task. I am, today, minished. Someone else gestate this baby for a day or two so that I can sleep, please.

justtowarm · 28/09/2018 09:40

Hope everyone is well!! My waters went at 6:20 this morning!!! Just at the triage now waiting to be seen.... although only getting mild contractions every 20 minutes. They want to just check everything is ok. I think they will send us away again until it's been 24 hours or contractions are much closer. I hope not though as we live an hour away.

meetthewildes · 28/09/2018 09:53

@justtowarm!!! How exciting! Best of luck, I can't wait to hear that she is here.

ladydolly · 28/09/2018 10:06

Exciting @justtowarn!!! Keep us posted... if you aren't busy you know.

The final days of pregnancy for me are mostly spent wondering of there isn't a better way of doing this, incubator or even better if co parent couldn't do half the growing, like swap over at 4.5 months?

Despite surgery, cracked nipples and little sleep I am still finding newborn days much easier than 3rd trimester so hang on in there!!

Dd2 is angelic, seriously. Dd1 was SUCH hard work that a close friend said if she'd had a baby like her she wouldn't have had any more. But so far dd2 sleeps (!!), cries occasionally and is just generally content with her lot. Dreamy!

justtowarm · 28/09/2018 10:25

Thank you :) still in triage waiting to be seen. I'm getting mild contractions, they started at 20 minutes but are now 10-15 last one was 8 minutes apart. So hopefully things are happening xxx

twobambinos · 28/09/2018 10:32

Oh my @justtowarm so exciting. Best of luck with it and can't wait to hear the update.

midnight1983 · 28/09/2018 17:07

@justtowarm good luck!!!

Havetothink · 28/09/2018 17:41

Hope it's all going well justtowarm

justtowarm · 28/09/2018 17:54

Nothing is really happening at the moment @Havetothink while I was on the monitor at the hospital it showed 3 strong contraction 5-10 minutes that then gradually stopped/became very mild. So I am waiting at home for them to ramp up again or else they will induce in the morning, they have to start the induction after 24 hours which means getting up at 4am to get to the hospital in time 🙈🙈🙈

justtowarm · 28/09/2018 17:55

It is all very exciting though :)

filzma · 28/09/2018 18:09

@justtowarm excited for you!! Hope all goes well!!

Babies are finally arriving! Seems surreal and just like yesterday when I found out I was expecting.😱

Havetothink · 28/09/2018 18:15

4am that's harsh. They didn't make me go in till 10 last time and that was 32 hours after my waters went.

midnight1983 · 28/09/2018 18:21

@justtowarm hoping it all gets going for you! Very exciting.

In my first Labour they let me go 56 hours after my waters broke...dont think it's advised but the labour ward was full 😯

ladydolly · 28/09/2018 19:15

I am LOVING seeing the babies start to arrive!!

So there's no post natal thread for Sept and obviously not one for October yet, would you guys be happy with a combined one or shall I just start an October one?

Penguina · 28/09/2018 19:55

@justtowarn good luck!

Reading this has got me all excited ! Makes me realise i really need to sort stuff out for the baby. Must pack bag!!
