@Havetothink yeah they said they aren't BH. They are regular and strong. I'll know more tomorrow after my scan tomorrow as to whether any fluid has gone or not Smile

twobambinos · 18/09/2018 08:37

Good luck with your scan @oreolovegood hope it all goes well.

It's getting very real now isn't it. And very quiet around here. I wonder how many more of the babies are being born.

@daisychain22 can you get signed off?

@thegirlhasnoname I hope you have the feet up.

Hope every one else is well. Nothing to report here.

2ndPGchimp · 18/09/2018 09:36

@nervousFTM wow! First October bus baby. I hope everything is well and you are being well looked after.

Last week of work for me and really regretting working this week! Travelling into London today has nearly done for me. 1 more commute on Thursday and I am done.

Random people in the street now feel it is ok to comment on the size of my bump, which is lovely (not).

Havetothink · 18/09/2018 10:12

Yesterday, a member of staff in a popular coffee chain exclaimed loudly as I approached the counter "how are you still even walking around with a bump like that!"

I also had a scan yesterday and somewhat more politely the sonographer told me "that's an impressive bump!" as I walked through the door. (Scan all good btw).

Day before yet another person asked when I was due, shook their head and said "you're not going to make it to term".

oreolovegood · 18/09/2018 10:33

@twobambinos thank you. Had my scan. Fluid levels around baby have dropped but only by 1/2cm so they are going to keep an eye on everything.

Said I'm in prodromal labour but doesn't mean she will come early. My contractions peaked at 40% yesterday on the monitor, they said it's not likely they will get weaker than that from this point on just stay the same or get stronger until she's ready to come!

twobambinos · 18/09/2018 11:20

@oreolovegood that sounds exhausting. Hopefully it eases up soon and you get some rest for the big day.

@havetothink @2ngpregchimp some people really can't help themselves with the comments can they. Thankfully haven't attracted much of it myself. It's usually my dm with the stupid comments but it probably just feels more personal from her.

ladydolly · 18/09/2018 14:16

Wow @oreo that sounds rough, 40% is quite painful, how do you feel?

The comments from people, it even irritates me on your behalf!! My neighbour yesterday said 'wow you are really huge'. Its even more annoying because she is quite huge herself and not pregnant. If I hadn't just nabbed the last parking space in the street (and thereby lauging inside at my victory) I might have given a nasty reply.

I'm really swollen and my midwife said to just get some flight socks, I want to be told to rest!! (Even though I already am Smile)

twobambinos · 18/09/2018 14:31

I had another comment from my dm today about how I'm just growing out erm you only saw me yesterday. She then said oh it's probably just what you are wearing today. I wouldn't mind but I'm actually not that big at all. 🙄 And I can't take any more school run comments have you not had the baby yet.... No because I'm not even due yet. Enough already. Grin

ladydolly · 18/09/2018 14:47

I am huge so it is justified at least!

The kids at DD's nursery are getting really impatient, they come running over and put their hands all over the bump and lift my top up. Since I avoided answering the 'how did the baby get in your belly?' questions a few have decided that I must have eaten it Hmm

midnight1983 · 18/09/2018 14:53

@oreolovegood hope you're resting up.

My son keeps saying 'wow mummy look how fat you are now!' 😑😑 it's hard to explain the nuance of fat and baby... Though I have plenty of fat too!

I've really, really hit a wall with tiredness and energy the last couple of days and I don't know how to cope with another few weeks of this!!! I could barely reply to my son yesterday. I don't remember first pregnancy being this tiring...

Havetothink · 18/09/2018 15:23

Ladydolly love that they think you've eaten it 😀

midnight1983 yes, I'm hitting a wall too, walking is hard work, chasing a 2yr old near impossible. Short walk to the shop and back and I need a lie down. 3 weeks till due, hoping it won't be as long as that now.

midnight1983 · 18/09/2018 15:32

@havetothink I have three weeks as well.. But hoping baby appears a little bit earlier! My son just started reception and isn't on full days until next week 😭😭

justtowarm · 18/09/2018 16:23

3 weeks and 2 days left for me too although being induced 3 weeks today. Really hoping she come sooner.

Just walking my son to preschool (literally a 3-4 minute walk causes me to nap also 🙈.

I had to go to triage in Sunday for monitoring as was getting preeclampsia symptoms (and had it with my son). Everything was fine other than trace of protein in Urine but they are going to monitor my blood pressure and urine weekly now.

I know I have been getting loads of Braxton Hicks but the monitor showed they are every 20 minutes varying between 35-60% I'm not really sure what that means though as I think I remember it going higher than 100 when I was in labour with my son. They are pretty uncomfortable and at time painful though and lots of back ache and pressure. I really hope it is the start.

My mum is Always for telling me I won't go to term as "I'm so pregnant" which is mildly offensive but she likes to follow up it up with how she never had any problems with any of her pregnancies "and just carried on" which I find very irritating..... my dad tells a different story 😂😂😂 she often has a rose tinted memory 😂😂😂.

twobambinos · 18/09/2018 17:23

@justtowarm mothers you gotta love them.
Grrr. Mine thinks baby will be born in two more days I don't care just stfu already. God I'm so cranky today.

I got a weakness there so had to go and sit down. I remember a few weeks ago I might be doing cleaning or something for ten minutes and the sweat would pour out of me and I'd be good for nothing. It definitely comes and goes. Hope all those braxton hicks are actually doing some work for you ladies and that you will have an easier time in labour from them.. I'm not sure if I've ever had a braxton hicks to be totally honest. One night alright I thought something might be kicking off so maybe that was it but nothing since and that was a few weeks ago now.

midnight1983 · 18/09/2018 17:44

@twobambinos I really can't stop sweating whenever I do any light housework! Even walking to the loo in a cafe this morning my face was so sweaty and it was very embarrassing! I am drinking more than I ever have before.

justtowarm · 18/09/2018 17:50

I am so relieved the sweat is not just me. I had to swap my sons wellies for shoes when we got to preschool and just bending down to change his shoes had sweat beads running down my head 😓.

I think the Braxton Hicks are pretty pointless I read some people just get them and some don't 🤷🏻‍♀️. They are bloody uncomfortable for me though I have had a few that are so painful I think it is the start of labour but then I don't get another painful one just tightening.

oreolovegood · 18/09/2018 18:32

@ladydolly had a cry today. Think it was out of frustration to know there could be another 4 weeks of this everyday! Trying to keep myself busy and my mind preoccupied to make it easier. Thank you for asking x

filzma · 19/09/2018 00:33

@oreolovegood I'm so sorry you're struggling. Hope it subsided and you get some relief.

Made some freezer foods today for post partum period and my back is killing me. I'm still awake despite being extremely exhausted. Frustrating to say the least.

twobambinos · 19/09/2018 00:58

@filzma you are not alone Sad

Havetothink · 19/09/2018 01:05

Yep, my back is killing me too, and I'm awake.

filzma · 19/09/2018 01:06

@twobambinos SadSadSad hopefully you don't have to be up early tomorrow.

filzma · 19/09/2018 01:07

Lol @Havetothink didn't realise we're having a late night party

twobambinos · 19/09/2018 01:09

Zzzzz

Havetothink · 19/09/2018 01:41

Went to sleep at 10, after 2 hours I'm awake, properly awake 😐

twobambinos · 19/09/2018 01:46

I think I just had a mild contraction. Or maybe I'm just wishful thinking
