Good Luck @nervousFTM! Thinking about you and have everything crossed for you and little one xxx

sparkling123 · 15/09/2018 03:47

If your hubby was drunk I'm sure he's feeling pretty sober right now! Hope he can get back to London soon! X

Belles86 · 15/09/2018 03:52

Good luck @nervousFTM! Thinking positive baby vibes! 👍

midnight1983 · 15/09/2018 05:59

Good luck @nervousFTM!

twobambinos · 15/09/2018 08:34

Good luck @nervousftm. I hope hubby makes it down to you and that all goes well will be thinking of you.

twobambinos · 15/09/2018 08:38

@unicornchaser I had a scan at 35 weeks and baby was a little below average. Then my scan this week showed a different story. I don't know if it's that it just feels so real now that it's a full term size with a few weeks to go or what but Im having a mini meltdown. Sometimes knowing less is better.

meetthewildes · 15/09/2018 10:58

Oh goodness, @nervousFTM, I hope it is all going well for you. I am also in London (SE, near Bromley), if I can do anything at all to help, give me a shout.

To continue the earlier conversation, I will be stunned (and somewhat dismayed) if this one arrives before 42 weeks. My last set of twins went to 41+3 and I produce wimpy babies that don’t respond well to being even slightly early - my 38 weekers actually ended up back in hospital! I’m planning for a nice, overbaked one that arrives just in time for my boss to go away for the two weeks off I’ll be taking! This child had better be on board with my plan!!

Feeling very hormonal today after a morning with the children (owing to my work schedule I rarely see them awake in the week). Can’t believe we get another of these magnificent little beings. I honestly feel like the luckiest mother in the world today. Gosh, this new baby has a lot to live up to - I hope it is as lovely as its siblings...

Thanks everyone! Mum to a baby GIRL!!! 💖💖 she is being more closely monitored for breathing as they gave me a shot of steroids when I got in but I went (first time mum here) from 1cm to 10 in just 5 hours. Decided not to have pain relief what the hell! Was just progressing so fast. She was 5lbs6.

My mum got to me at 2am, I sent her back to mine (10 mins away) at 4am, walked her to the exit and as soon as I got back the contractions started and I had to call her to come back! Midwife was just amazing and helped me through. Hubby didn't make it for the birth (baby girl was waiting for nobody) but he's okay! He's been here since midday after getting first plane home. I cannot believe I didn't tear and have been walking around a fair bit.

Still no name for her but she is just gorgeous xxx

nervousFTM · 15/09/2018 17:03

Oh in case it wasn't clear I wasn't induced - she decided to come very quickly of her own accord. Has a cannula in now for antiBs just in case. Brave teeny thing. I'm SHATTERED XX

Sophwalms · 15/09/2018 17:14

Congratulations!! Well done you. Enjoy being a mummy and I'm glad your baby girl is ok xx

midnight1983 · 15/09/2018 17:17

@nervousFTM congratulations! Really pleased to hear you are both doing well. 🎉

Havetothink · 15/09/2018 17:44

Congratulations @nervousFTM I'm so please for you, it must all be a bit of a shock. Take all the time you need to recover and gaze longingly at your beautiful girl.

Be prepared, if you don't know already that there is the tearful hormonal day when your milk comes in (normally day three) I did not expect it to be as overwhelming as it was but it passes quickly :) so happy for you xxx

Belles86 · 15/09/2018 18:48

@nervousFTM wow, 5 hours!! Congratulations to you and your little girl 💐

sparkling123 · 15/09/2018 20:23

Congratulations @nervousFTM, that is such lovely news and great to hear you had a really positive experience! Aww, it's making me emotional, can't believe I've been on this thread since about April and now we're all starting to meet our little ones ThanksSmilexx

afloat · 15/09/2018 21:04

Congratulations @nervousFTM!! Wow what a story to share. I’m very glad you’re both well and hope your first few days are precious.

I was wondering if anyone here is hoping for a VBAC? I’m 37+5 and have my fingers and toes crossed for a calmer birth than last time (I was fully dilated but developed an infection so had to have EMCS).

filzma · 15/09/2018 21:51

Oh wow!!! Congratulations @nervousFTM!!!! I'm glad you and baby are both well. 5hpurs for a FTM is pretty amazing! Congratulations on your princess!

It's getting real 😱

twobambinos · 15/09/2018 22:42

@nervousftm huge congratulations to you. Fine sized baby too. Enjoy every minute when the shock wears off.

Thegirlhasnoname · 17/09/2018 07:19

Woke up this morning with swollen feet and just hoping I overdid it this weekend - luckily I have my 34 week midwife appointment today so she can have a look. Hoping that everything is fine as I finish work this week (all going to plan!)

justtowarm · 17/09/2018 15:01

How have you got in today @Thegirlhasnoname?

Hope your doing ok @nervousFTM ?

DaisyChain22 · 17/09/2018 17:27

I stupidly made a mix up with my dates so am working until 38 weeks Sad too late to change now. The problem is with my job I can sometimes travel up to 120 miles away so am really worried. I know realistically I’d probably make it back in time but it wouldn’t get me off to the best start

Thegirlhasnoname · 17/09/2018 18:02

@justtowarm I’ve been told I’ve to tone down my weekend activities and start putting my feet up (can easily get on board with that recommendation!) but all is fine with BP and urine thankfully. Had some bloods sent off to check my iron levels so hopefully if something pops up there then I’ll be told.

@Daisychain22 that’s rubbish. Have you not got any leave left over that you could attach to the beginning of it? Sucks that work won’t let you change it though

oreolovegood · 17/09/2018 18:07

Has anyone been told they've got an irritated uterus? I went into mcu today, thought my waters had broken and they said it seems like an irritable uterus which acts like a false labour until baby comes along??

I'm having regular contractions and they said it showed up on the monitor too. Seems crazy to have to just go through this all day everyday until she decides she's ready!

Got a scan tomorrow before they open to see if I've lost any fluid or not around baby.

Havetothink · 17/09/2018 19:18

The words irritable uterus have been mentioned in regards to BH, although mine have calmed down a bit lately.
