You are not alone @Havetothink, i can't remember the last time I slept properly 🙈

midnight1983 · 11/09/2018 08:03

@penguina really good news about your daughter. Hope the rest of your pregnancy is stress free.

@2ndPGchimp that's really sweet and funny!

@meetthewildes I can't wait for my son to become a sibling and I feel like that's more exciting to me even than me having another baby in a way. He is 4, so old enough to be fully involved and luckily is very excited... We'll see how he feels after baby is here!

I am also struggling to sleep - it's so hard now to get comfortable! Adding on a bad cold and asthma for me and I can't bear to lie down at night tbh.

midnight1983 · 11/09/2018 08:04

*bare

unicornchaser · 11/09/2018 12:46

Oh my days, sooo drained today! Glad I'm not working now, hats off to all of you who are still going with work!

7 weeks left but feels like a lifetime at the moment! Is it too early to just live in PJs and not leave the house?!

OP posts:
Havetothink · 11/09/2018 15:35

If you can get away with it, it's never too early to live in pjs.

twobambinos · 11/09/2018 16:30

@unicornchaser exactly if you can get away with it why not.
I got dressed earlier to collect my older dds from school and I'm back in the pj's now. I was so tired this morning. Also suffering with the night time sleep like some of you it's awful isn't it. Just want to rest and build up the energy for the labour but it seems impossible.

@penguina glad your dd is doing well.

@havetothink hope you are feeling better today

midnight1983 · 11/09/2018 16:57

Is anyone else more hungry than they have ever been? And I want sweet things, which are normally not for me 😕

Havetothink · 11/09/2018 17:28

Honestly feel like I've been hit by a bus today, I'm so tired, sinuses completely blocked and burning. Baby is not allowed to come while I've got this cold. I've drunk gallons of decaf tea. Keep getting Braxton hicks when I sneeze. Thankfully dd is in nursery tomorrow so I can have a bit more down time then if I can't sleep tonight.

Filzma · 12/09/2018 05:55

@Havetothink same here. Blocked runny nose, headache, lethargic, 1 more sneeze/cough away from labour and just overall under the weather.

It might be a weather change thing but DH brought it from work last week. Most people I know have it. Officially autumn I guess.

PS: will the labour and delivery wards still be boiling or do they actually get cold at this time of the year? Had a summer baby last time.

Filzma · 12/09/2018 05:57

@midnight1983 oh yes, more carbs. That's all I'm craving. Eating what I crave, just portion controlling.

Havetothink · 12/09/2018 06:01

Filzma as far as I know the wards are always kept warm (for the babies).

justtowarm · 12/09/2018 06:04

@Filzma I had my son in January and the ward was so hot the thought of having to stay in again makes me want to cry (although that may be hormones)

Filzma · 12/09/2018 06:46

Aah, I see, thanks ladies. Will adjust the Hosp bag slightly..

oreolovegood · 12/09/2018 09:00

Morning ladies, went for a routine health appointment at the hospital yesterday, ended up being sent to mcu. Got strapped up, spent 4 hours in there and she told me my Braxton Hicks might sometimes be contractions from what the graph showed. So now we are back again for a scan today!

midnight1983 · 12/09/2018 13:53

@filzma I distantly remember portion control...

Filzma · 13/09/2018 05:29

Lol @midnight1983, no one said it's a daily occurrence.

Belles86 · 13/09/2018 06:42

My carpal tunnel is giving me so much gyp. Awake every night with pain and double splints isn’t helping much. Buzzing and numbness through the day too so not very effective at getting house sorted. Just having a moan..

midnight1983 · 13/09/2018 06:51

@filzma I genuinely ate three times what I normally do yesterday!! I'm hoping my body is just gearing up for labour and I haven't become even more greedy than usual!!

I have my 36 week scan today and am very excited to have a look. I'm really suffering with back and pelvic pain when I walk so I wouldn't be surprised if he was very low already.

ladydolly · 13/09/2018 08:23

How are you getting on Oreo?

Wow Penguina! Kids bounce back so quickly don't they??

I ran out of omerpazerole yesterday and feel awful today, I can't believe I carried on all through my last pregnancy like this! I'm hanging on for 9am until the chemist opens!!

oreolovegood · 13/09/2018 09:44

@ladydolly all is fine. Scan showed everything was as it should be. She is really low down and she's weighing heavy already. Got that glucose test tomorrow which I'm dreading, absolutely hate having bloods done let alone 2 sets in one day Hmm

Had some lower back pain and cramping, they've told us to just be prepared for a potentially early baby and call the delivery suite if anything happens!

meetthewildes · 13/09/2018 10:38

@oreolovegood I am glad everything is ok! How far along are you now? A slightly early baby would be rather exciting!

I am hungrier than usual but frankly, all I want to eat is ice. Delicious, translucent ice. My partner freezes tupperware boxes full of ice every afternoon for me to smash to pieces (with a hammer!) and devour in the bath every evening! I feel quite, quite mad.

Did maternity photos/video on Tuesday and ended up floating down a river - it was bloody freezing, take-your-breath-away cold. But I think the shock of it flipped the baby head-down! Sorry kid.

oreolovegood · 13/09/2018 12:59

@meetthewildes thank you! 35 weeks at the moment so she would be early but not scarily so. Lucky I like to be organised and packed my hospital bag a couple of weeks ago! Blush

midnight1983 · 13/09/2018 14:21

@oreolovegood that's good news! Good luck with the GTT, I find them really tough. Top tip - dont try and read anything more challenging than a trashy magazine!

For those who were curious, the 36 week scan is just to measure body parts and blood flow. I had mine this morning and thankfully all is well with baby. They estimated the weight to be average at 6.1 pounds... But I know growth scans are notoriously ambiguous! The other lovely thing was they gave us a really clear picture of his little face - my son found that very exciting 😊

2ndPGchimp · 13/09/2018 18:49

@midnight1983 we had our 36 week scan yesterday and had the same, save our little chubster is already 7lb 1oz! I was expecting another biggie as first was 9 lb 3, but was rather put into perspective when a friend at work pointed out that the largest of her 3 was 7 lb 1 oz at 2 weeks overdue!

@meetthewildes floating down an ice cold river sounds like a strangely appealing prospect. It certainly sounds like it will make good photos. I admire those with the body confidence for it- I am really not keen on photos of me right now!

Did lots of handing over at work today with 6 more working days to go and feel much better for getting some stuff off my desk, still a lot to go but getting there.

unicornchaser · 13/09/2018 21:34

Not sure if I'm jealous of the 36 week scans to predict the size of baby or relieved to not have one so I can stay in my dream bubble of a small easy to deliver baby 😆
