@havetothink this is what happened to me also... Which is why I'm worried about not recognising early labour! Hoping not to be induced again tbh.

Not sure about heartburn but does anyone else feel really nauseous at night?

Havetothink · 01/09/2018 10:09

I sometimes get reflux at night which makes me need to sit up or I'd be sick, not sure I'd call it nausea.

justtowarm · 01/09/2018 15:09

I get the Same as @Havetothink, I actually wake up with sick in my mouth at times because of the reflux.

unicornchaser · 01/09/2018 15:18

I'm getting heartburn really bad now! Had a latte & croissant for breakfast and have been suffering all day since (may also be the curry last night too......) but yeah getting it most days now!

I'm in the heartburn club as well, can't have anything spicy without getting it, even a small splash of sweet chilli sauce. Gaviscon is my friend right now Grin

justtowarm · 01/09/2018 19:00

I have upstairs and downstairs gaviscon now 🙈 might also invest in another bottle to keep in my bag 🙈

midnight1983 · 01/09/2018 19:37

I will have to beware the revenge of my super spicy spaghetti later then...

Filzma · 02/09/2018 01:13

I had bouts of nausea the past 2 days then subsided. Very gassy lately and the heartburn is something else. I sometimes feel a burning sensation from my throat all the way down to my insides.

Feeling quite heavy now. Worries baby will be too big.

twobambinos · 02/09/2018 08:57

@filzma I have the same worry about size but seems to be tracking very average size they say.

Still get vomiting here every now and again depends what I eat. It could come out of no where and don't know if its to do with the heartburn or not.

For parts of the day I seem to be super exhausted my whole body is tired. And I'm good for nothing. 😭 I really hope I get a burst of energy soon. I have a desire to nest but no energy

midnight1983 · 02/09/2018 09:22

Ah well I did get the dreaded burning acid throat last night... And this morning lots of cramping. Hoping its baby getting lower in my pelvis and not the start of early labour!

@filzma and @twobambinos I have worried about size too but MW says I'm measuring normal. Even though I have done this before I just can't get my head round how large I am!

meetthewildes · 03/09/2018 09:50

Oh gosh - the heartburn. I thought I'd escaped it, carrying just one baby rather than two this time, but alas for it is not to be.

I'm coming up to 33 weeks and having all sorts of anxieties about baby's position; enormously looking forward to my next scan, which is at 36 weeks and will either put my mind at rest or confirm that the little monkey is transverse/oblique so we can do something about it! I'm tempted to book a private appointment sooner, or to play the small baby card (I'm supposed to have scans every other week owing to my daughter being very small previously, but I declined) in order to get an NHS scan in the next week or so; I think my anxiety is really disrupting my bond with this baby.

midnight1983 · 03/09/2018 16:47

Is the 36 week scan just for growth? It wasn't routine when I had my first baby and I was really surprised but happy when they booked me in for a third scan!

meetthewildes · 03/09/2018 17:15

@midnight1983 I think it’s for growth and positioning, and to check for anything weird that might make delivery difficult or dangerous. Happy to be corrected if anybody else knows better though! I’ve never had just one baby before, so I feel like an utter newbie at most of this.

nervousFTM · 03/09/2018 19:15

@midnight1983 yes @meetthewildes is right. I'm also having one at 36 weeks x

midnight1983 · 03/09/2018 19:36

@meetthewildes @nervousFTM thanks for the info. I'm glad I will get another look at baby before he arrives and also glad they can check if he is defo head down. Last labour was a bit stressful so maybe this will be helpful.

Penguina · 03/09/2018 22:21

Ladies suffering with heartburn speak to your gp and get omeprazole. It’s life changing!!

Am stuck in hospital with my daughter and wanting to shop for baby!

justtowarm · 04/09/2018 07:18

@Penguina hope your daughter is ok?

sparkling123 · 04/09/2018 08:50

Hope everything is ok Penguina? I did get prescribed those but haven't taken them yet, will try them once gaviscon runs out. Do they work instantly and do you just take them when the acid starts?

midnight1983 · 04/09/2018 09:03

@penguina also wishing your daughter well.

Dbear35 · 04/09/2018 10:12

Hey ladies,

Hope your all well?

@pengunia I hope your daughter is all ok.

So far I've avoided the heartburn which is a blessing however the tiredness is just soooo bad! I'm struggling to concentrate at work and I've still got 6wks left of work ...think I may have to bring the mat leave forward.

My bump isn't that big so also worried she is going to be small and was toying with booking a scan but now confused as some of you are getting one at 36 wks ..I'm 33 wks this Thursday so will ask the MW if I get another scan.

I always wondered why you don't get s scan nearer the time to check positioning of baby it makes sense and I've heard far to many stories from friends that MW says baby is head down and then actually baby is breech! Shock

Havetothink · 04/09/2018 10:19

36 week scan is not standard but if they are worried about baby's size or position they can send you for extra scans. I've only ever had the two at 12 and 20 weeks.

twobambinos · 04/09/2018 12:01

@penguina hope your daughter is OK.

Omg. The. Exhaustion. Sad dont know how I will give birth with this. On the other hand I suppose there's no way you would through the birth is there Grin

Filzma · 04/09/2018 12:23

Oh my, @Penguina hope she's fine?

I'm with everyone on symptoms. The dreams are more vivid by the night. I started breaking out this week, my face has been clear so far. Wonder what changed?
The baby is heavier than my previous one. Worried but can't tolerate any hunger. It's the painful type where I have to have something there and then. Will be 36w soon!! 😱

Hollie1231 · 04/09/2018 13:43

Hi All,

So I am very late to attempt to join a group online for new Mums.. but Hi :)

A quick intro to my pregnancy to date below:

34+4 today, due 12/10/18. This is my first Baby and it is a little boy (... Big boy actually... he has been measuring around the 95th centile since 20 wks).

I have had a pretty good pregnancy to date (very little sickness). I had a clear GD test at 21 weeks and they are sending me for another next week 35 weeks (as he is still big! approx 7lbs est weight at present). Now I am in the later stages tiredness is really starting to kick in and I have the worst heartburn but otherwise I feel great!

I am very much looking forward to meeting my little one now : D

Dbear35 · 04/09/2018 13:59

Thanks @havetothink I didn't think it was standard to have more than 2 scans, I was hoping that because bub was IVF that I may get one more but hey ho, I'm going to ask the question to the MW and try my luck.

@Hollie1231 welcome and congrats!

My he is a big boy! Although I am a believer that your baby is the right size for your body, you will be just fine Smile

I haven't had a weight given to me yet, im 32+5 wks

FYI ladies
Boots have a half price baby thing on - just stocked up on baby bath stuff and maternity pads and disposable pants for my hospital bag.

anyone got any other recommendations for hospital bag contents?....im making sure my husband is with my when I pack it so he knows where everything is.
